Thanks Tyler! Do you know where you will be working July 8- 15th? Would like to stop by and say "Hi!"

We only get our schedules 4 days out. And although I am now trained on Front Desk & Guest Services, I seem to be stuck out in Luggage, since we have so few dispatchers. So, chances are, I will be doing Luggage Dispatch in the mornings, Friday-Tuesday... so if you call Luggage from your room, you'll probably get me.

Oh, Tyler.

You beat me. Shazbot!!!

I was close.

See what happens when I can't think of anything to ask at the present time.

Since you're online.

I made reservations for Pop in early December and requested the 60s. What are the chances that if I decide to get a room in the 70s section one may be available? As I understand it, the crowds should be less at that time.

Also, if a 70s room is available, do I still have to pay the additional $10/night?

Yes, you can be downgraded to the 70's at checkin if you should desire... and they will credit you the difference.

Cool!! :D

I keep the reservations I got now and wait 'til I get there to decide.

Okay, a suggestion tp pass on just came to mind. I remember commenting about the lake could use some paddle boats and you mentioned maybe when the Vintage Years opens up.

If that does occur it would be neat if Disney made a canal go from Pop to Widw World of Sports (if it's not too far). Pop can then provide a lock and cables with the boats and Pop guests can paddle over to WSS and watch a game or anything of that sort.

It'll provide Pop with more uniqueness to the other resorts.

Whadya think?

Unfortuetly, I doubt that will ever happen.

Tyler you are the greatest! I loved your new photos of the place. I can not wait now to show the rest of my family what are resort is going to look like (Going for Christmas in 2004).

These 100 pages of threads on Pop Century have really reassured me that we made the right choice to stay there during our trip. You have, and everyone else that has written, have given me so much information that I would not of thought of and it really makes me feel that I know what I am doing and that I can get around there without too many problems.

I hope to see you Tyler when we are down there, but if we do not thank you again for all this wonderful information.:wave2:

I have to admit that this thread has been invaluable. I had no idea what to expect at all but now I cannot wait to get there. Can anyone please give me the fax number for PC so that I can try to request a suitable room for wheelchair users.

Thanks in advance

Thank you, you've not long to go, lol

Time is flying in for me, I just cannot wait until I get there:)

kazza25, You're welcome!
We are getting very excited....all 8 of us!!!:flower:
You're coming a long way....How long is your flight?

I believe it's about 8 hours or so. We leave Glasgow at 6.25am our time and get to Orlando 2.25pm your time the same day, lol.
Not looking forward to the flight but i'm trying to ignore that part.:hyper:

kazza........:faint: I hope you have a flight that just seems to whizzzz by!!!!

OK, I know these question have probably been posted somewhere in the previous 100 pages:

What rooms/buildings/floors are smoking or smoking optional?

What rooms are connecting?

What rooms come w/kings or 2 dbls?

Basically, I'm looking for a non-smoking, 2/dbl, non-connecting room, preferably on the 4th floor by the steps. So is there a recurring room pattern on how the buildings are laid out?

Tyler,

We are booked at POP Dec. 4-9, 2004. My biggest concern is bus service.

Many people on other threads have posted that they either had standing room buses or extended waits. We will have DD 2 1/2 with us so it will not be convenient to stand on the buses. Do you think that this will be a problem. If we do have to wait, how long do you have to wait between buses.

We are planning character breakfast at CRT, CP and CM as well as participation in EE days. Do you think that we will have bus problems.

Thanks in advance. I really appreciate any advice.::MinnieMo

We had no problems with bus service. MOST people are nice enough to let a person with a small child sit down. We had a 2 1/2 year old, and I don't think she ever had to stand. Someone always let one of us sit. And, we used the bus service to some of the other resorts for PS's and such. They share buses, and it took forever. So, I think Pop has it pretty good.

Tyler I have a room charging question for you. I have seen many different answers on this and since I know you are trained front desk (even though it sounds like you are so good in luggage they don't want to give you up) and I'm hoping you can answer these questions.

When you have a room charge how often is your credit card charged? Is it when you reach the $500 limit that is at the value resorts?

When you give a credit card (or debit card which is where this can be a problem) do they put a hold for the entire amount $500 on your card or do they just do an authorization for say $1 to make sure the card will work? The reason this is so important to know is because some debit cards have a daily limit, sometimes much lower than the $500 allowed at the value resorts.

Can you pay off your balance at check out if you haven't reached that $500 mark? Can you pay by check? Is it an electronic check that is debited right away?

Thanks in advance. These are a bunch of questions that I have seen many answers for and it doesn't seem I see the same answers twice so I came to the horses mouth. ;)
