Sounds like it might be a hassle to get back to Pop Century from the Boardwalk area after the parks close. Would it be better to take our car instead of Disney transportation? Anyone know if there will be free parking at the Boardwalk area?

My husband and I spent a fee different nights on the Boardwalk. Each night we took the bus from the Boardwalk to Downtown Disney. It was a pain in the butt! It would have to go from the Boardwalk to the Swan and Dolphin then the ride to Downtown Disney. Then we had to catch a bus to our resort. Let me say again, it was a pain. My husband is too cheap to get a taxi, though. The last night we were there, it was late, I was tired, and it was freezing, and we just missed the bus. We took a taxi. It only cost around $5, and it took about two minutes to get from the Boardwalk to Pop Century. DEFINITELY the way to do things.

As far as free parking, my cousin met us one night for the Illumination Cruise, and they had no problems parking.

I've just found out that my flight will not be leaving until 8:00 at night....Woohoo!!!...Is there somewhere I can store our luggage after checking out of our room but prior to leaving Pop Century?

Also, since the inroom safes tend to be on the small side, are there any other options for locking personal things away? Does PC have bigger storage areas that can be purchased? I'd love to bring a video camera but ours is wider than 3".

Thanks for your help!

You can have luggage assistance pick your luggage up from your room, and they will store it for you until you are ready to leave. Luggage assistance is free, and it was the best thing!!

Touch the Luggage button on your phone the night before you depart. You can then schedule an appointment for Pop to come pick up your luggage. You don't have to be in your room for the pickup, either.

While in storage, if you need to get something out of it, that's fine too.

If you wish to come down to the luggage area, we have a locked cage that we can store it in if you wish...

I'm sure it's here, but I'm new and we leave in 8 days!

Will the in-room safes hold a laptop computer?

Other suggestions for digital camera with limited memory? Walgreens was mentioned someplace, is that close by Pop?

Thanks for the help, as always!

Yes, the in room safes are large enough to hold a laptop.

Did anyone use the playground while you were there? What ages is it set up for? Did your kids enjoy it?

DD (just now 3) played there while we waited for our room to be available. I can say it is geared more to 4 - 7 yr olds due to the height of the bars etc, but a 2 - 4 yr old can enjoy it also. they had the things where kids could dig etc.

We just got back from POP on Tuesday night, had a great time and we did get to meet Tyler. Hi Tyler

We had rooms 5450 and 5451 (Baloo building backside). Connecting king to a double.

Noise wasn't an issuse at all but we did here it when our neighbors left at 4am and when some kids were down at the water jets at midnight. Neither were loud enough to keep us awake.

Safes are a bit small but will fit a SMALL laptop.

luggage was stowed for us from the time we checked out at 11 untill the time our pick-up came at 1pm.

Transportation to the parks were no problem at all.

Refillable mugs were great, they had brewed tea not the instant kind so that was a very nice surprise since I don't drink pop.

We had refridgerator and they are small! They will hold a few cans of pop and some other small items. Do not plan on putting much in them.

Temp. in the room was good but then we don't like it very cold and always kept it around 70

All in all POP is a very nice resort.

Digital Cameras

My mom was able to dump hers onto a CD in the MK at the photo shop next to Tonys. When we got them back (after they had lost them!) the envlope said we could take them to any park or hotel to have this done. They probably send them elsewhere. Guest relations should be able to tell you. The cost was $12.99 +tax. Wal-mart is only $4.00 but the wait when we went was 1.5 hours. We didn't have time to wait there. And wal-mart is a bit of a drive from property. Hope this helped!

Do you know if it is possible to get a late check out (like 12:00 or 1:00) at Pop Century? We have a 7:00 flight and would like to be able to have the girls swim in the pool the morning we check out and then go back and get cleaned up and then go to lunch somewhere.

We will be checking out on a Sunday.
Thanks!
DJ

4. At luggage check in- can you "check" a cooler?

I would like to know this as well. I'm arriving around 10am-11am, not only bring my meds but milk for my kid.

Can someone clarify this for us?

Thanks,
Yoly

Sunday is a BIG check-out day. Don't count on being able to get a late check out. However, Luggage Assistance can hold onto your bags for you, and you can get access to them. There are showers and changing areas at every pool, as well.

You can check in a regular cooler, or a plug-in electric cooler at Luggage Assistance. We also have a refridgerator and freezer for any other items as well.

Thanks, Tyler! I guess is there are changing rooms and showers by the pool, we should be fine. Just wanted to get my girls cleaned up before we head out.

Are the showers only by one pool, or by each of the pools?

Thanks again, Tyler! I sure hope there is a 'comment card' sitting around somewhere that we can complete and state if any CM has gone out of their way to make our stay more pleasant. You have REALLY gone WAY beyond! It is so kind of you to spend time on the internet answering all of our questions.

Thank You VERY Much!

They are at each pool. As for comment cards, my coworkers management team is well aware... every day its "Tyler... another one of your fan club members is out here!" LOL

Would like some advice,do you guys recommend we buy refillable mugs for a 3 night stay?We will be checking in around dinner time 1st night. We are three people so I thought if we did purchase we would get 2. Is it worth it for a short stay?
Thanks
