Marianne - you might be able to call CRO and make a medical request for your location. I think 70's first floor at the end toward the 60's building might be a good choice. We were in building A.

Or, there are even some 80's rooms that would be just as close if you go through the parking lot to the transportation. I didn't get a chance to see the 50's section so I'm not sure about that.

Does Pop Century have the refillable mugs that fit into a cup holder or do they only have the big ones?

Yes the have the smaller based ones and I was told that they hold a few more ounces of beverage!

They have both types of mugs. And you can even choose your color!(of the handle/lid) They have orange,blue,red,,i think thats it. We got one of each,,but then i kicked myself for not getting both narrow ones,,as thats the size that fits into the cup holder in the car. Oh,well,,,their mugs are really neat.

I love that there are different colors... makes it easier to distinguish whose is whose...

did someone write that the narrow ones (that fit into cup holders) actually hold more? Is that true or am I nuts?

About the mugs...I tried it today and the narrow mugs hold a bit more than the wide based mugs! I was surprised too!


Now what is the PoP planning for Christmas? What will the decorations be like? We are trying to decide where we are going to stay and I think the PoP will be perfect for us but I need to feel and see lots of decorations if I am not going to have snow!

We will have our second stay at Pop Century in September. It is a very nice resort and we really liked it. We are DVC members, but only have 150 points, so when we are 'out of points', Pop will be our resort of choice for now on!

I noticed that too w/ the mugs. My D got a narrow mug and we got big ones and when I filled up ours pop would squirt out the top. Next time I'll be getting the narrow mug too.

I saw a question earlier about downloading digital pictures at resorts/parks, but have not seen a reply. We have been wondering what we will do when our camera is full. Has anyone done this before and about how much does it cost?

We will be arriving at Pop Friday, and I plan to visit the Walgreens @ DTD to download my photos. I believe it's only 3.99 and takes no time!

The other day I looked through the first 13 pages of this thread and still couldn't find what I was looking for (I'm sure it's here somewhere but I don't have time to look anymore!)

I need to send in my room request in a few days, I need a connecting room since we will have three kids with us, I want a quiet room (thinking maybe about the top floor???), non-smoking DH had terrible allergies and is allergic to smoke and I also want a room that is very continent to the bus stop since my 72 year old Mom will be with us. Can someone suggest a building that might work for us? I don't want the 60's buildings because I don't want to pay an extra $10.

From the map it looks like building 0 (70's B) or building 1 (50's A) on the top floor "Back" side near the elevator would be the ticket for you. Although building 9 (80's B) on the backside puts you almost the same distance to the bus, just a little further to the food court.

I am also looking for room / building recommendations we would be after

2 connecting no smoking rooms - one of which needs to be a king (the other one could be a king or a double)

4th floor (if possible)

not too worried about location to food courts etc., but it would need to be a quite location - near a pool (is there a quiet pool?)
