I too would like to know if the coffee, cappuccino, and expresso can be had with the refillable mug.

jann1033- The refillable mugs are, as I understand it, site specific. So you will need a "Pop" mug at "Pop"

TYLER,

Last night afer reading some post I sent Moderator Trekker a PM requesting that The All New Pop Century FAR OUT FAQ Thread be added to WDW Resort FAQ and Information Threads located at the top of the Resort Thread..He just PM'd me back and said sure. So now anyone looking for this thread can just click on to the top post and find this thread.

26 days until we arrive!! I have a very tempermental computer - can't find the thread that listed who's arriving when. Help, anyone?!

Wondering if anyone knows which building are smoking and which are non smaoking at POP?

Thanks

Wow... This thread in the very beginning caused me to book with PC and I'm glad I did based on everything I'm hearing.

Thanks Tyler..... We'll be there shortly, we arrive the 17th of Jan.

A quick question for anyone that's stayed there or for Tyler. We are getting 3 rooms in the 60's building and didn't know if any rooms had better views or closer to the buses?

Thank in advance,

:wave2:

Adding my two cents regarding the coffee makers. I am not trying to tell enyone off but Pop is a VALUE resort. That means to me that there are limited amenities available. I don't know if the moderate resorts have coffee makers but for what the value resorts go for at least right now (starting at $55 with a code) I wouldn't expect a coffee maker. That's why you have to ask for a hair dryer. I know that the Nescafe sucks but if you want real coffee you should shell out the extra bucks for a resort with the amenities you want.

Thanks, MagicInMyHeart for the link. I'd have never found it without your help! :D Happy New Year, everyone!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

SweetP...I agree with what you are saying (although for a family of 5 the value resort becomes a 130.00 per night expense). And I have known that there wasn't a coffee maker in the room.

I can't speak for others, but what amazes/astonishes/confuses me is that a place like Disney would serve NesCafe (an instant, freeze dried coffee)! My local target store even serves StarBucks!

I would be more than happy to hoof it out to the food court for a cup of brewed, caffinated java...but alas, it evidently isn't available. I have come to learn that there is a cappucino machine in the court, however some (not all) of these machines use instant everything (coffee, cocoa, etc) as well.

But, as I said, I agree that we at the values have to remember that sometimes you get what you pay for.

Just to confirm, the moderate and above resorts do have the makers along with hair dryers and ironing boards in the rooms. I went right to the Disney site and looked under the resort section. It just confirms the saying "you get what you pay for".

Well, some rooms have woods view, some have lake view, and others have pool view. And some rooms are going to be closer than others... but unless a hundred feet will really make a difference, most any room will be close.

except 99%of disney has rotten coffee so I'd rather save the xtra$$$$:) ! can't understand that either about no decent coffee houses, evidently the big guys at disney are not into coffee like the lowly masses.

now are you referring to just some cappucino machines in *general* as being instant or are there specifc non instant real thing ones at POP...and does any one know it those machines are "refillable mug friendly?"

I thought all the resorts now serve the Nescafe - value, mods, and deluxes. I bring my own coffee maker for that ealry morning java fix, no matter where I stay. Trust me, you don't want to see me in the food court prior to my coffee fix... :teeth:
I know I'm a germa-phobe, but I prefer to use my own coffee pot. When we checked into a BWV one bedroom unit, there was a coffee pot there. It had an old (very old) used, coffee packet in it. That thing was growing fuzz! Iccckkkk, iccckkk, ewwwwww! :o

Not sure about refills and whatnot, but I do believe the cappuccino machine is a real machine.

Ohmygosh, Tyler!! You have done an incredible job on this thread... bet it feels like a second job keeping up with it! LOL I think that is so wonderful of you to take so much time answering SO many questions and telling us all about the new resort! I can't wait to stay there.. I wish our last trip was there- but alas, it wasn't open yet. :( Hopefully our next trip (after the cruise trip) will be there! I saw it last Jan while in construction.... it will be all "old news" by the time I stay there. *pout*
LOL

I was wondering if you knew the answer to this question?

I hate to ask- after you've answered so many questions. But maybe you can answer this (if possible) when it's most convenient! :)

Shucks, in two weeks, I'll be answering it myself!!

Well okay then! LOL Be sure to come back and answer your own question- 'kay? :)

I knew you'd get to stay there before I did... stinker. LOL Tell me all about it when you get back!

I think my question was missed.
Where on the PC room floor plan (for each room) is the connecting door for connecting rooms?
Thanks!

DisneyMom5

I saw a "3-d" view of the rooms at cruisingco.com and it appeared to me that the connecting door was between the TV stand and the entry to the bathroom. Does that help?

Hi All,
We returned from a 4-night stay at the pop. We had a lot of fun even though the first day was too cold.

Customer service was the best. Tyler you can tell your colleagues that they provide superb customer service. We got their the first day they were fully booked up (Dec 19).

Here is some info on the refillable mugs. There are two kinds, one that has a slim base that will fit a cup holder and the other the regular mug. They both hold the same quantity.

There are 3 beverage islands after the cash register. They contain Nescafe (Regular and decalf), Hot Chocolate, Hot Water (For Tea). Iced Tea. The soda machine has coke, diet coke, Hi-c Orange, Hi-c Pink Lemonade, Sprite. Theses are the selections I can remember.

The Middle Island has the only frozen coke machine with 2 different flavors.

All these are available for one time purchase or for unlimited free refills if you have the refillable mug.

The Coffee was good the first day I was there but continued to decline in quality every day. They have regular creamer and flavored creamer if you take cream with your coffee.

Hope this helps and thanks for all your postings Tyler.
