My DH must workout during trip,he buys the length of stay pass everytime we go. (last yr he drove from FW to WL almost everyday).
We will have a rental car. What is the closest resort by car that has a fitness facility??
Thanks a bunch

Hi, autumnblue!

I'm not Tyler, but I did ask about the zero entry at the pools and there aren't any at Pop Century. There are steps with handrails, but I think I am going to pass on bumping on my rump down into the pool(smile). Besides, I'd hate to have my winter white skin scare the children!

Just booked two-rooms for POP Century March 26-30 for a long week-end, using The Florida Resident's Spring Resort Savings for $82.50 a night plus ordered tickets to Atlanta Braves vs New York Mets game for Saturday March 27.

I would like to thank Tyler, because I would never have even thought about staying at Pop Century if not for him.

(The baseball tickets are a bribe so my Dear BIL and DH will think trip is a great idea)

I'm going to DisneyWorld.....:earsboy:

MARRAR,

The BoardWalk Villas, are probabily the closest Deluxe with Health club.

Hi, My mother and I are staying at Pop Century April 17 to the 24th. For a girls only trip I will miss my Husband and I wish he could go but money wise it makes since this year. But I still get to go. How spoiled. Kelly

Hi! I'm new here and was wondering if anyone could tell me if there are grilled chicken sandwiches available at the Pop Century food court. Any help would be appreciated. They're my daughter's favorite food. Thank you.

Does Classic Concoctions actually serve alcohol and/or lounge apetizers and what are the operating hours?

Deluxes are the only Disney resorts to feature zero depth entry. (Polynesian, Grand Floridian, and AK Lodge are the only resorts that I know of that have it)

AS for Classic Concoctions, they are a full bar and I'm sure they have lounge appetizers... if not, the food court will have stuff. (they're right together) I'm not 100% on that because when Im at working, they won't allow me to drink. LOL go figure :)

I'm sure the grill section of the food court will have those. :)

Q: Will 5 people fit in a room at Pop Century?
No. Pop Century rooms are limited to 4 persons, plus one infant in a crib. However, we do offer connecting rooms. This is a great option for larger families, as it allows for two bathrooms.

Okay, I need a real WDW expert here, and I think the originator of this post qualifies!

I have a family of 5 - let me expand: 2 adults, 1 child who is 5, twins who are 18mths. When I called the WDW 800 number the operator said WDW does not count children under 3 towards the room capacity. Is this correct? Would my family of 5 be able to stay (in one room) at Pop Century?

thanks

Ok Tyler or anyone else just back - just a couple more questions. I have read and have been following this (and all Pop Century) threads and haven't seen this question asked yet. Where is the playground at? I looked on the map that Tyler had on one of his posts, but I didn't see it on there. Also, I would like your suggestions as to which buildings should I request that are in close proximity to a parking lot. We have three small children and the closer we can get to a parking area, the better. We will be driving from WV (15 hours) and they will be like little bear cubs by the time we arrive. Any info would be great!!

Cya in about a Month!!!

The playground is located in the 70's section, next to building 10. (0xxx)

As for buildings closest to a parking lot - 1, 2, 7, 8, 9. 10

Yes, your family has four plus one infant under the age of three. (only one of the children are required to be under the age of three)::yes::

Well we returned on the 29th but I have been so busy trying to get back to "normal". Today was the first chance to get on my computer.

Tyler & EJ it was very nice meeting both of you and you were very helpful. Everyone there was friendly, courteous and willing to do anything in there pwer to make our stay magical. They said it was crowded, but alot of times you can't tell. We never had to wait in line at the foodcourt. We never had to wait for a 2nd bus. The only place that was crowded was the laundry room. It seemed everyone wanted to do laundry at the same time. Yes, at times the line to guest services was long but it moved quickly.

Our maid was wonderful as well. Her name is Elka and she was the best. She would make all sorts of animal and things with towels. Everyday, she would pose my sons animals in different theme poses. Sunday, she had his large dog as though he was reading the bible to the congregation of other stuffed animals. Another day she had them in the bathroom like they were in the sauna. She was wonderful. Just a little extra magic. I highly recommend PC. However, we did join the vacation club. I can't wait to plan my next trip.

Sorry for the rambling. Oh and the Tie Dye Cheesecake was wonderful. the bottom layer is red velvet cake.

Anyone going anytime soon, hope you have a great time.

Renee

Rmorrisette,

Congratulations on becoming a DVC member, and WELCOME HOME

Did you buy at Saratogo Springs? Hope you purchased many points, the only thing I regret is I didn't buy sooner, the only thing that will make me happier with DVC is...more points.

Hi gang,

I am looking for room recomendations. I think I want to be in the 80's building, but I am pretty flexable as they all appeal to me (except maybe the 90's).

Any imput is welcome. General advice on what floor is best (no infants, but a 5 year old who falls asleep easily on buses). Or if you had a room that was good for some reason...

This is our first time at a value and I am a little uncertian about it. We like to stay at POR, but it seems like a waste of money since we spend every second possible in the parks.

Tyler and everyone else - Forgive me if this has already been asked. . . What is your favorite themed building and why? Also, what are the chances of getting in a certain building (except the "preferred")? We're booked for Dec 18 thru 23, 2004.

Thanks

My favorite themes are in the 80's... just because I think the Pac Man's on the buildings are cool. :)

As for preferencing a building, it really all depends on what time you check in, and occupancy turns.
