GV = Garden View. How would you say that the picture Kay7979 posted is anything OTHER than a garden view? Last time I checked, trees were considered part of a garden.

When I hear garden view I think flower beds, shrubs, trees ... I wouldn't expect to just a big tangle of branches in front of my room, unless I "squint my eyes" (quoting the OP). I wouldn't call that big tangle of branches in that picture a "view".

Hey There Everyone. We are looking to book the Poly TPV for July 2011. Yes, I know it's a long way to go but I like to plan. My question is in the Tahiti Longhouse bathrooms, is the vanity separate from the shower area? TIA.:flower3:

Here now in Tahiti & no, it's just one big bathroom...but we do have two sinks.

Really? They have iHomes in them. That is so cool. I can't wait to blast disney music while we are getting ready for days in the parks.

Yeah -- it's great for playing music (Disney or Hawaiian) to get you into the Disney spirit! And so easy.:goodvibes

Thank you Magical JenK. Hope you are having a wonderful time. Although I would have liked it to be separate, just as long as there are two sinks we will be good to go.:flower3:

OT - The picture of your dogs is priceless.:cloud9: Simply beautiful.

It seems more people prefer the 3rd floor LV in Hawaii. I'm debating that and the 1st floor (which is what I currently have requested). I know the view from the 3rd seems wonderful but I'm thinking our 3yr old DS would like having the patio as well as the surrounding area to play. Any 1st floor Hawaii LV fans out there? How are the views of the lagoon, castle and fireworks?

I like the ground floor myself but did you read the thread about the snake? I wouldn't let my kids play in the grass there after reading that...I'll have to go back & find it. But it's about a family who visited in May & her 7yr old son was bit by a water moccasin snake after he dropped his toy & it landed about a foot into the landscape....Just some info to pass along! ;)

We're huge fans of first floor Hawaii. The views are incredible. The MK is far enough off that the difference between the view on 1st and 3rd floor is negligible. We've always requested and been lucky enough to receive 1st floor.

The esteemed Tikiman is another fan of first floor last I knew.

Wow, thanks for the head's up on the snake! Guess I'll have to keep him on the patio if we do get 1st floor.

Thanks for the input, BCV23. I do recall Tikiman being fan of the ground floor now that you mention it. Who am I to argue with Tikiman ;)

You're welcome, I can't seem to find the thread...my eyes must be buggy today-I'm pretty sure they were at CBR-the thing is we had a ground floor room (1527) Hawaii a few weeks ago & we walked right out to the pool-barefoot!! We had a tree & some bushes in front of our door so anything could have been in there!!!!

SNAKE??? Holy crap! A garden snake is bad enough but a water moccasin is horrible. :scared1:Can you find and post that link???

I've been trying to find it....I think it was "Don't Let This Happen to You or your family....." something like that. Very scary....this poor family's hospital bill was around $139,000 or that could just been the anti-venom...I know Disney does their best to keep their guests safe but :scared1: can you imagine? I'll keep looking...

I have not stayed first floor Hawaii but we did stay first floor Tokelau a few months ago. I specifically asked for a ground floor room (even after reading other snake threads :) ) because we liked the ability to wander out further and walk in and out the other door to the beach. We loved it and I will continue to ask for a ground floor room AND keep my eyes out for snakes. And I warn the kids too. They like to spot creatures anyway so anything bigger than a spider was news. Mom! There is a butterfly! Mom - the ducks! Mom - look at this frog. Mom - rabbits! etc....

So glad to hear you liked Tokelau, as that is the longhouse we put in a request for. Unless of course some pixie dust sprinkles our way LOL. Heck, we're just happy to be staying at a deluxe, and could NOT be happier that our first deluxe stay is at the Poly. 17 days!!:thumbsup2!!:woohoo:!!

not that I'm excited or anything LOL

Thanks. I think we'll brave the snakes as well and stick with the 1st floor request. We'll be sure to keep an eye out for anything that slithers!
