Hi everyone! Just want to see my countdown. Can't believe it's less than 2 months. Hope I still get to go. Brother has been diagnosed with cancer and given only few weeks to live. been stressing over this and whether or not will have to cancel trip. Well still hope to see everybody there! If not eat a Dole Whip for me and have lots of fun!

1) If you could create a character meal, who would you include? Pixar Pals at the Hollywood and Vine. And update the Disney Junior meal to include charcters that are actually on TV.

2) Does your family have any last night or day traditions at WDW? We do AK on the last day so that we are back early enough to pack and head home.

3) What is one resort in which you are not interested in staying at and why? Contemporary or Grand Floridian. Would love to do the Poly or WL one day.


4) If you could give one piece of advice to someone planning Disney trip for the first time, what would it be? Don't try to do everything. It's not just about checking rides off your list, it's about having FUN!

5) What are three things that you consider "must haves" one you are packing for June WDW trip? Sunglasses, comfy clothes, Crocs

6) Do you buy photopass? We are 50% on this one. Thinking we might do it this time, though.


7) How you done any tours and if so, which was the best? No, not yet.


8) Have you ever visited a first aid station while at WDW? Not yet (fingers crossed!)

9) What is the longest you will wait in line for an attraction?Pre kids, 45 minutes. Now, no more than 25-30

10) Have you ever been selected from the audience to be part of a show, parade, etc.? No, and that's not really my thing so I never volunteer

I am VERY late for joining this thread, but I thought I would throw my info out there anyway. We have had to cancel 2 WDW trips in the last year, so I didn't want to get too excited about this one. Now we are 6 weeks out, and I don't forecast another cancellation (fingers crossed), so here we go:

We'll be at SOG 13-20 Jun. First time for us at this resort, but the price is definitely right, so we decided to try it.

We haven't been to WDW since Sep 2005! I'm not sure who is more excited right now, me or the kids! We were fortunate to live only a 7-hr drive from Disneyland for the last several years, so we went there annually. But I miss the World, and I cannot wait to get back again!

Yay! I'm sure Mom is getting tired of me asking "HOW many days NOW?"

I'm going to take a moment and re-introduce myself. I've been posting here for a couple of weeks (although not a whole lot and mostly just answering Friday questions...but, still...I'm here!) and I feel like I'm the unpopular kid trying to be popular and everyone overlooks...

My name is Kim. I'm one of the K & K's alluded to in eeyore344's upcoming trip. I'm the DD that she can't get rid of. (Of course I'm the ONLY one...so she shouldn't want to get rid of me anyway.) I think her current Disney addiction is my fault (ask if you want me to elaborate) and I KNOW her DisBoards (and Frontierville) addiction IS my fault. I'm usually the one who joins the trip threads like this, but she beat me to the punch this time, and I just let her ride the train alone.

Now it's getting close, and I want to celebrate with everyone else going!

In case it's the saying that I'm part of eeyore344's touring crew is what's keeping me left out....we're getting there on June 23, staying until July 1st, and going to be at the Caribbean Beach. This will be our second stay at CBR.

Without going through all the pages and pages of this thread, can anyone direct me to the link for the Some Like It Hot logo pic? I'll be making t-shirts next month before we go, and we like (plus, can't we add it to our siggies, too?)

Also...does anyone know if the doors at CBR are metal? I'm making something to take and put on our door (it is so much easier to find the door when there's at least a ribbon on the door handle when it's two AM and you're dragging in....) and have magnetic hooks that can hold it up if the door is metal. I'll post a picture when I'm done!

I'm so sorry to not include you before. I didn't realize that I hadn't put you on the list and of course, we always like it when more people countdown with us so we are happy to have you. I added you to the list on page 1.

It just occurred to me that I haven't put us on this list.

We are arriving at BCV on May 28 and leaving June 5. Also planning to venture over to US and IOA for the first time, mainly to check out WWoHP.

For this trip, it will be DH, me, 16 yo ds, 15 yo dd, 13yo ds, dsil, and my dd's BFF. This will be the first trip in a while we won't have our young grandchildren and their parents. It will be a little odd not to have them along!

It's been over a year since our last trip so we are REALLY looking forward to this trip!!

I know I am late joining but we were not sure if we were going to actually go on this trip as planned. It was to be the first adults only trip for DBF and I and then two months ago we found out I am pregnant (I will be 17 weeks during the trip). So after much debate DBF decided we should still go.

June 11 to June 16@ Pop Century. This will be the first time we are doing deluxe dinning and now I am so glad we decided to do deluxe.

I am sorry to hear that. Keep your head up. My step dad was given only a few months to live a a few years ago and made it 2 1/2 years so there is always hope!

Six weeks from TOMORROW we will be on a train to Disney! So excited!

1) If you could create a character meal, who would you include? That's a tough one...I'm happy just to meet Mickey. The Phineas and Ferb idea sounded cute as my boys would love that!

2) Does your family have any last night or day traditions at WDW?No particular last day traditions. Last full day I try to make a MK day but the last half-day is usually spent at other parks if we have time.


3) What is one resort in which you are not interested in staying and why?Hmmm...never been too interested in Coronado Springs or Grand Floridian.


4) If you could give one piece of advice to someone planning Disney trip for the first time, what would it be?A little planning can go a LONG way...so as much as I know some people don't like to plan things out, I'm a huge procrastinator but Disney Trips are one thing I never fail to plan out months in advance!

5) What are three things that you consider "must haves" one you are packing for June WDW trip?Disney shirts and sunscreen and some matching Disney outfits for the kids.


6) Do you buy photopass? Usually yes.

7) How you done any tours and if so, which was the best?We did the family magic tour a few years ago. It was cute but not sure we'd do it again. I'd love to do the EPCOT Segway tour someday. DH has done DiveQuest SEVERAL times and it's fun to see him in the EPCOT tanks! He's doing it this trip!


8) Have you ever visited a first aid station while at WDW? Amazingly no. However I have had to travel off-site to take a child to the emergency room once. My daughter was about 11 months old and broke out in hives one night and I took her to an emergency clinic at 3am because she couldn't sleep.

9) What is the longest you will wait in line for an attraction?I would say we won't get in a line that's longer than 30 minutes...MAYBE 40 tops!

10) Have you ever been selected from the audience to be part of a show, parade, etc.?
Several of these. In 1997, DH's FIRST trip to the World with me, he was picked to perform on stage at Hoop de Doo...so funny! He was also picked to star in some little show at MGM Studios and I once drove one of the boats at Jungle Cruise during that same trip. TWO of my kids have been chosen during Turtle Talk with Crush to ask a question...and I think we've only seen this show three times total so 2 out of 3 times is pretty good. My oldest son was chosen to answer question in the audience at Monster's Inc. one time. DH also was up on stage another time at one of the shows inside of Innovations...it was a Velcro demonstration and it was funny! Let's see, we also have two of my kids performed in the streets of MK with Woody and Friends when they used to do a little show there in the middle of the street a few times a day. Noelle danced in the street party at Hollywood Studios one time as well....I have a great video of that!

I'm pretty sure i'll have a lime green mickey on my green stroller (not lime green but I can pretend!) and if I happen to buy a new ink cartredge from now till when I leave I will also have the Team June logo.

Just checking in. We made it through the storms. Devastation in all the surrounding areas. We were very fortunate to only have suffered the loss of power. Youngest niece had some trees down, siding ripped off and kids swing set tossed across the yard. Oldest niece's place is okay but they had gone to a neighbors to seek shelter during the last wave of storms and the house they were in was destroyed.....all that's left standing is the laundry room and bathroom - they all came out of it without a scratch. Many friends in the area have damage.

This post just gives me chills! So glad all the people are OK!

Must have bathing suits, sunscreen, Advil.

Nope.

Thankfully, no!

If it's something everyone wants to do, 90 minutes. We are pretty good at entertaining ourselves while in line.
10) Have you ever been selected from the audience to be part of a show, parade, etc.? DH once got picked to participate in the Street Players improv play/skit in the UK at Epcot; very funny!
