Hi everyone! Just want to see my countdown. Can't believe it's less than 2 months. Hope I still get to go. 5) What are three things that you consider "must haves" one you are packing for June WDW trip? Sunscreen, camera and sunglasses:cool2:

6/11 Rose and Crown 7:45 PM

We are going to see Illuminations this trip. In all of our trips over the last 10 years I've never really seen it. Once we tried to stay and watch but I was so frustrated with being short and all of the tall people in front of me that we just left :rotfl: If I don't get to see it on 6/11 we are going to go back another night-it's on my must do list!

Here's my suggestion:

Stake out a spot on Showcase Plaza - there's a section there that will be roped off, close to the lagoon. All the people that want to sit out there will be lined up along the brick planter. Position yourself behind those people then when the CM's let the ropes down and all those people rush out just scoot up right behind the brick planter thingy. Everyone on the landing has to sit down so you will not have anyone standing in front of you:thumbsup2

Just getting a little excited... Here's my two big countdowns.

59 days until Disney for us and we just added another day last night. :cool1:

35 more school days/teaching days. :cheer2:

Catching up on the Dis - been a busy few weeks with Easter and my youngest's First Communion. Great to see everyone so excited for June.

Love your countdown Anjalee!

We have 54 days until Disney (and we added an extra night also!! - leaving on July 3rd)

17 more school days/teaching days - This week is State Testing Week for my class. :headache: But they're ready and I know they'll do great.

1 more payment to make by next week.

It's getting closer!!

1) If you could create a character meal, who would you include?
Any of the Star wars Characters

2) Does your family have any last night or day traditions at WDW? We have to do MK as the last park

3) What is one resort in which you are not interested in staying at and why? Any place where those Pop Warner cheerleaders hang out!

4) If you could give one piece of advice to someone planning Disney trip for the first time, what would it be? Actually I'm doing that now with a friend who's coming along on our trip. My advice, you can plan as little or as much as, you'd like and you'll still have a great trip. The only thing you really have to plan is dinner ADR's.

5) What are three things that you consider "must haves" one you are packing for June WDW trip? My "wubbie", Iced tea maker and Camera gear

6) Do you buy photopass? Nope. Bought it once and I was not satisfied with the pix, i.e. out of focus and poorly composed!

7) How you done any tours and if so, which was the best? I send my husband on the tours to get him out of my hair! He and Ds did behind the Steam Trains :thumbsup2 and for this trip Hubby is doing keys to the kingdom

8) Have you ever visited a first aid station while at WDW? You are talking to the person that never set foot in the nurses office at school so no!

9) What is the longest you will wait in line for an attraction?45 mins tops

10) Have you ever been selected from the audience to be part of a show, parade, etc.?Nope but husband was "That Guy" at Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor

~MM

Hello everyone! I thought it might be easier than posting individually to tell everyone that added or changed ADRS that everything has been updated. Yay for May and being THAT much closer to being on our way to vacationing.
:dance3:

I'm so jealous. We are now down to 32 more student days and I am just getting really exhaused. My kids are so wonderful, but I just can't wait to get to Disney. 7 more weeks of school. I like the sound of 32 school days better.

Here's my suggestion:

Stake out a spot on Showcase Plaza - there's a section there that will be roped off, close to the lagoon. All the people that want to sit out there will be lined up along the brick planter. Never heard that tip before-thanks!

If we don't get to see it with our Rose and Crown ADR we are going to come back on the night we eat at YC so I will have a plan now for that.

1) If you could create a character meal, who would you include?
Pirates of the carribean aaaargh.. Boys need a meal that their sisters won't like too! :rotfl2:

2) Does your family have any last night or day traditions at WDW?
Room service breakfast

3) What is one resort in which you are not interested in staying and why?
Contemporary resort. It is well... Too contemporary. Looks like everything is sterile

4) If you could give one piece of advice to someone planning Disney trip for the first time, what would it be?
Don't try to see everything at one time. Slow down and enjoy!
And don't yell at your kids! Was that more than one? Oops! :rotfl2:

5) What are three things that you consider "must haves" one you are packing for June WDW trip?
(1) Mole skin (2) Antacids (3) Dr Pepper (they don't sell it anywhere on property)

6) Do you buy photopass?
Nope don't like standing in line to pay for a picture!

7) How you done any tours and if so, which was the best?
Yes, we did the around the world Segway and the wilderness segway tours. On the wilderness one my wife and I were the only ones on the tour!! Awesome! :cool1:

8) Have you ever visited a first aid station while at WDW?
Yes! Sometimes food doesn't stay where it's supposed to and they didn't have the good tasting stuff!! Not good:rotfl2:

9) What is the longest you will wait in line for an attraction?
120 minutes for space mountain it was awesome!

10) Have you ever been selected from the audience to be part of a show, parade, etc.? pirate:
Yes in the laugh floor monsters Inc, I was the open the can to see what's inside guy:rotfl2: I really wanna be "that guy" and backlot tours, we did the boat scene.. And somehow I was the guy in the radio room.. Uhmm wet was an understatement!

Adventurers meal - Hercules, Captain Sparrow, Peter Pan, etc.

2) Does your family have any last night or day traditions at WDW?
Last day at Hollywood Studios.

3) What is one resort in which you are not interested in staying and why?
Contemporary resort. It is well... Too contemporary. Looks like everything is sterile I agree. I love the location, but it looks like a hospital.

4) If you could give one piece of advice to someone planning Disney trip for the first time, what would it be?Those who fail to plan, plan to fail.

5) What are three things that you consider "must haves" one you are packing for June WDW trip?Children's Tylenol (DD gets bad headaches in the heat. Elastics to put our hair up. Baseball caps to keep the sun off our heads and out of our eyes.

1) If you could create a character meal, who would you include?
I love lots of the ideas others have suggested! Anything geared more toward the boys - pirates, star wars, etc

2) Does your family have any last night or day traditions at WDW?
I have to say goodbye at MK watching Wishes

3) What is one resort in which you are not interested in staying and why?
I don't love the theming of the contemporary but would stay there for location. Can't stand the creepy clown slide at boardwalk, otherwise I would still consider staying there too. AKL is nice but seems just so far away from everything except AK

4) If you could give one piece of advice to someone planning Disney trip for the first time, what would it be?
Have a good plan but expect to not get to do everything. Slow down and appreciate what's around you, it's not all about the rides

5) What are three things that you consider "must haves" one you are packing for June WDW trip?
sunscreen for my pasty family! Insulated water bottles. Extra days so we can have lots of down time and still get to do our "must-do's"

6) Do you buy photopass?
Yep! Already pre-purchased

7) How you done any tours and if so, which was the best?
not yet...but someday for sure!

8) Have you ever visited a first aid station while at WDW?
knock on wood...no

9) What is the longest you will wait in line for an attraction?
I waited 45 min for Jungle cruise only because we were right there, it was the end of the trip and I was too tired to think about FPing and having to come back around to that corner of the park. Wouldn't be tempted to wait that long again for anything!

10) Have you ever been selected from the audience to be part of a show, parade, etc.?
not me but my Dad was Romeo last year in WS...one of the highlights of my trip! He was completely embarrassed but I'm certain he enjoyed it
