speaking of chef mickey... :goodvibes I thought to put this offer out there (though I feel weird about it... :confused3 )

I ended up getting Chef Mickey ADR for:
Date: Thursday, June 2, 2011
Time: 7:40 a.m.
Party Size: 5 Guests

well, our party size is 2. see, three seats left open.... so any party of 3 or even 2 want to share a table? I only feel weird asking this because I think others are going to deem me weird for thinking of asking... but seriously, I don't think if I call to drop down to 2 that it will open any other space (cause the size of the table reserved.) so why NOT see if anyone wants to take those seats? The bill can be separated, so why not? :confused3

ETA: if no one responds to this, even by PM, within a few days, I'm going to call to drop it down to 2. Just wanted to see if anyone cares to share first.

I would, honestly! But... I don't think I can get Mike out of bed before 5am (this is the day we're driving over from Daytona). It would have been perfect though- we have me, DH, and a 2 & 1/2 yr-old DD. Darn. I just think it's too early. :sad2: I wouldn't cancel though- SOMEONE will want to dine wit'cha. :thumbsup2

If you've done two reservations at one resort, have you had to change rooms?

If you've done a villa stay, how much cooking have you done in the room?

We currently have a 1 bedroom at BLT booked. When we made the reservation we only got the first half in a standard view, and had to waitlist the second half. Then our waitlist came through, but it is still listed as 2 separate reservations. When I called to ask about it the castmember said we should not have to change rooms, since they linked the reservation in their system. So I don't know all the ins and outs, but you might just call Disney and make sure they've linked both reservations because then you'd be less likely to move?

We've done 2 stays in a villa before, and we didn't cook a bunch. I made cinnamon rolls (pillsbury) and eggs and things for breakfast. We occassionally had sandwiches in the room for lunch or reheated leftovers. We ate all our dinners out. This year I think I might try to cook some more dinner type food, but I'm a little intimidated to figure out what to make. Most of my recipies call for spices and various ingredients that I don't really want to buy while we're down there, and we're flying so I'd rather not pack. I guess it might be stoffer lasagna, rotisserie chicken and other easy things on the menu!

YOU'RE out of control?! :lmao: Watch this honey...

I have ALL NEW ADR's for my trip (just completed this total fiasco tonight)

Thurs. 6/2
(L) Tony's 11:30AM
(D) Yak & Yeti 4:15PM

Fri. 6/3
(L) Le Cellier 1:00PM
(D) Jiko 7:35PM

Sat. 6/4
(L) Mara
(D) California Grill 5:40PM

Sun. 6/5
(L) Raglan Road 12:30PM (this is the only ADR that stays the same)

Oh Lord! I have THREE WDW vacations on the schedule, and STILL can't keep myself from tweeking the ADR's :rotfl2::rotfl2:

I feel your pain! Fat lot of good it did me to make ADR's 180 days out when I've changed them every day since!:scared1:

Standby...more changes in progress!:guilty:

And I'm not trying to be commando/uber-planner, I just have memory issues, and I know once I'm in an overwhelming environment I'll forget stuff. I feel more comfortable with my list/safety net in my pocket. I'm making another list for each park with notes on best places for us to eat (we are vegan). Even though I've gone over this enough that I practically have it memorized, I know once I get there I'll feel better having something to refer to, which will be less stressful for me, and if we veer off course it will be a nice reminder of the general plan.

Since there are so few quick service places that serve vegan food I too will be bringing a list.
For our resturant meals I filled out a special meal request form and attached it to the reservations. From what I have read on dis boards you have a better chance of getting better selection of vegan food.

Please add Michigan to the list. It was 82 degrees today, we finally told the kids about the trip, and we have 62 days until we leave - life is good! :cool1:

anjalee6 when you started this thread did you think it would be over 109 pages?

I was just thinking about that too. I feel like I've lost track of it all because it's gotten so big and I don't get a chance to check in everyday. I was doing much better when we first started and now I'm just missing my fellow June planners.

Yeah, Disney sounds really great about meals! I just want a quick way to say to my suddenly starving kids "okay, we can eat right there!"

same here - I used to like to check in while on my phone, but (and this is not meant in any sort of negative way, so please don't take it as such) but the large pictures and large fonts that are used totally mess up the page and I have a hard time checking anymore while sitting in my car, picking up kids etc.
