We just finished booking our second trip to the World June 18th-25th. We are taking my parents for the first time ever. Anyone have any suggestions?

We are staying at the Carribean Beach Resort and so far have the following ADRs

18th- none-doing Down town
19th- Chef Mickey's
20th- Sci-Fi drive in
21st-Akershus Royal Banquet
22nd-Tuskerhouse
23rd-???
24th-Cinderella's Royal Table
Anyone have any suggestions? I want to make my parent's first trip with the grandchildren memorable.

I never posted my ADR's! It's been crazy busy at my place, starting a new job and trying to get my house all organized before I go to work full time. Yikes!

Thinking of switching the Les Chefs for Boma??? I cannot decide. The other's are pretty firm because I let all the kids each pick one meal and they all picked character meals. It's fine with me because it'll keep them occupied.

I have found this thread to be so very useful for so many things. However....ADR Changeitis is contagious!!! I've been 'done' with my dining reservations 4 times since I joined this thread. But somehow.....they don't seem to be 'done' enough.

You're welcome. You could always do what I did... book two more trips- that way you always have an ADR that could be "better." My DH said "DEFINE BETTER!" ...I had nothin' nothin'

Wow it's amazing what happens when you go several days without checking in here! I'm all caught up now! I'll probably just skip the Friday questions this week but I read the answers and they were great.

So we had a family emergency here on Friday. My FIL ended up in the hospital on Friday due to blood loss after complications from a routine procedure he had last week. Thankfully he is okay but Friday was a crazy morning as I had to call a neighbor to take my three kids, go pick up my MIL at her house and drive her to the hospital and then spent most of the day there with her and DH and FIL. FIL was released Saturday evening after getting four units of blood and should be fine though.

Anyway while this was all going on Friday, I had my Disney Travel Agent looking into booking a cruise for us for November of 2012. I had already emailed her all of my info including CC information but she was concerned when I wasn't responding to emails as quick as usual. However we ARE booked on the Disney Dream for a 3-day cruise in November of 2012...so it looks like we'll spend Thanksgiving in WDW in 2012 again! Woo-hoo!

So I have not made any more changes to our ADRs this week or anything regarding our vacation...amazing! I think I'm finally happy with the plans. The only thing looming over me now is whether or not we upgrade our train accomodations from coach to rooms but I think we may even be able to do that on the day of our trip at this point. Right now the train down, with our oversized vehicle, is costing us about $400 which isn't horrible when you consider how much gas prices are climbing and it will probably take us at least $200 or more in gas to get there driving at current prices.

Friday we were also worrying about all of the government furlough talk since DH is a Fed and had the shutdown happened he would not be getting paid for a while...which really would have sucked. So I have delayed buying our park tickets until I knew for sure what was happening there...and thankfully that is all good now. Plus DH found out last week he got a PROMOTION so as of July he'll be making more money...which means when the bills from Disney come rolling in we can pay them!

So the stress of all of the above means my diet plans to lose weight have just gone down the tubes too. Trying to get back on track now...with only 64 days to go. Wonder if I can drop 10 pounds between now and then? Perhaps with a LOT of effort...we'll see.

Our trip for June 12 -18. It's myself. DH, and two daughters ages 16 and 17. Staying for the first time in the Fort Wilderness Cabins (we've camped in an RV twice before).

But I did want to ask and seek opions, this is our first trip with teenagers and I was wondering how much freedom others give their kids while at WDW. Our last trip, the girls were 11 and 12! and they will probably want a bit of freedom!

I don't think you could see them from cindy's. one: last I heard the windows were blocked, and two, even if they were not, the fireworks last time I went were all around the castle, if you are inside it, you'd miss a lot.
