1) If I was at Disney right now, I'd be...hopefully riding space mountain for the first time.

2) When you told people you were going to Disney, what did they say?again or didn't you just go a couple of years ago or wish we could go with you.

3) If my life was a Disney song, it would be...Life is a Highway from CARS

4) If you could, what one attraction would you redo?tiki room. I'd like to see it w/out Iago. (according to Rumors, I may get my wish)

5) What one Disney attraction do you hope they will never take away?[COLOR="teal"It's a small world
]

6) What one Disney attraction do you wish they would bring back? 20,000 leagues under the sea. It looked like a really cool ride.

7) If you could rename each of your family members after a Disney character based on personality, what would their names be (include yourself) me- I would like to think I'm like tigger, but I'm probably more like piglet or eeyore, DH-not sure about him. i'll have to really think about that one, DS(7)the white rabbit from alice in wonderland. he's always frantic and worried about missing out something or being late, DS(4)-crush from finding nemo. he's very laid back.

Need help deciding if we should eat at 1900 Park Fare when we first arrive.

personally I'd pick somewhere in downtown disney if possible. arrival day is rough, at least for me and mine. We really are not up to a character meal 'first thing', and we enjoy walking and decompressing downtown. Then again :rotfl: I am starting to think of trying a park character meal the evening we arrive... but we land at 11:30am. so I don't know. as for how it would effect CRT... depending on the ages of the kids and how preceptive they are, having two cindy meals can ruin the magic. cindy may look really different face wise (enough that even *I* noticed and I am really head in the clouds :rolleyes1) plus, I know my DD would expect the cindy to remember her and her name from the night before and would be very confused and upset if she didn't.

In the end though, what works for me, or doesn't work for me, may have no bearing on what will work for your family. :thumbsup2

But yeah, I like going to DTD on arrival day. Helps prep the legs for walking, de-stress etc. and tons of good resterants (in my view).

*slight* change to my ADR plan:

Instead of Tony's on 6/4, we'll be at Tutto Italia at 7:20PM

and I added Raglan Road 12:30 pm to 6/5 :goodvibes

Need help deciding if we should eat at 1900 Park Fare when we first arrive. We get in in the afternoon & it's our 1st time to wdw so we want to wait until the next day to do a full day at the park.
We need somewhere to eat dinner (on dining plan) & 1900 Park Fare has availability.

I have a couple of suggestions. We love riding the boats & monorail, so we use them (in combination with buses when necessary) to visit other resorts, especially when we just have a partial day. So here goes:

1) Bus to the MK, then take a boat to the Poly. Dinner at Kona Cafe (ressies are usually easier to get here than O'hana) then explore the resort before staking out a spot on the beach to watch the MK fireworks, complete with the soundtrack. Afterwards, boat to MK or monorail to TTC to catch a bus back to POR.

2) Take advantage of your location and take a boat from POR to DTD. I recommend Raglan Road for both its interesting choices and comfort food, but you have a lot of options to choose from at DTD.

3) You could also take a boat to DTD then transfer right at the same dock to a boat returning to OKW and have dinner at Olivia's. Hang out on the waterfront or on a lounge chair near the pool after dinner. There's something magical about the atmosphere at OKW around twilight.

Make sure to take along bug repellent for choices 1 or 3.

Have fun and relax either way. You've made it to Disney!!!!!

I agree with Single dad in that it's best to keep it simple the first day that you arrive after traveling. We are up at 2:30 am this time for a 6:08 am flights so we plan on going to the hotel and crashing, plus a dip in the pool and lunch at the hotel, then we will head out to the parks but make it an early night.

Traveling really takes it's toll.... on the adults and kids

Good luck and Have a GREAT TRIP!!!

Welcome. I added you to the list on page 1. Thanks for the well wishes. The kids have had a horrible year with sicknesses. I have never missed so much work as I have this year. I hope it ends soon.

Hi everyone!

In 13 weeks time, I will be almost at MCO... ready to be whisked off in our towncar to Kidani Village :cloud9: sooooo excited!

Our TA has managed to book us places at a Wishes Dessert party, never done one before and really looking forward to it. Can't wait to see MSEP, Magic Memories & You and then Wishes/summer fireworks show!!

Emma princess: x

Yay Emma! I can't believe your wedding is almost here. I bet you are getting really excited. I am really looking foward to Magic, Memories, and You also. I watched it on Youtube and it made me so excited. I wasn't going to watch it ahead of time just so I could be surprised, but I couldn't do it. I really liked it and can't wait to see it while we are there.

More June DIS'ers!!

We will be there 5/29-6/9 at BCV

We have the following ADR's:

5/31 Le Cellier 2:00 pm
6/4 Akershus 5:45 pm
6/6 Whispering Canyon Cafe 6:10 pm
6/8 Crystal Palace 8:05 am
6/9 Cape May 7:30 am

:cool1:

Welcome to the group. I added all your information to the list on page 1.

*slight* change to my ADR plan:

Instead of Tony's on 6/4, we'll be at Tutto Italia at 7:20PM

Not a problem. I fixed it. There seems to be a lot of switching going on as people firm up their plans. This is what planning Disney is all about isn't it? :thumbsup2 ;)

Have fun and relax either way. You've made it to Disney!!!!!

I think we're not going to do Park Fare...it might take some of the magic away. So I'm going to look into DTD. The boat ride does sound fun. And like pp said the flight & travel might take its toll so we might do dinner at Boatwrights & maybe swim? I'm thinking of a light evening so we can be ready for the big day.
So many choices! So many decisions!
Thank you all for your help!

I've changed my ADRs soooo many times... I think I'm finally done, but you never know. I check every couple of days just to see if anything's opened up for O'hanas. I didn't read about it in time to get an ADR (only open ones for a night we needed was 9:55pm... a little late for 2 toddlers!). I'm happy with what we have though, O'hanas just looks SOOOOO tasty!

I started getting things together today, so exciting! I've got 2 little bags out in the garage to put stuff in that we won't need till Disney, one of them is almost full! only 71 days for me!! :yay:

So, I have a scheduling issue that I want to see what y'all think about it. I had read that an early morning breakfast at CRT was the way to go (not really sure exactly why now, but whatever... that's what I read). This is our first trip as adults, so my DH and I are just kinda winging it and going with what we read/what people tell us. So, I made an ADR for Cinderella's Table at 8:30am. It's on our 1st day, so that's the question. How early can I get to my resort (All Star Movies) to get our passes? I know the room won't be ready till later, but can we get there super early to get our passes so we can get in to the park?? What time do you think we'd need to be at ASMv in order to get our luggage dropped off (we'll be driving, so we can leave our luggage in the car if we need to) and then get back over to MK for an 8:30am ADR??
We're staying with family the night before so that we could have a full day at the parks our 1st day. We'll be getting into Orlando (a 4 hour drive) in the afternoon and we'll probably spend that evening at DTD looking around, then turn in early since we'll be up early to get to Cinderella's!

Anyone who made it through my rambles and might have an answer for me, :worship::worship::worship: thank you SOOOO much! I've been stressing about this a little. A couple months ago I tried to call and change it, but as I expected there weren't any other openings :headache:

I have an answer for you. I think you need to get there before 7. I've gotten to Pop Century before 7am, checked in (online check-in helps this SO much), left our luggage with bell services (this took longer than check in), and went on our merry way to rope drop, Key to the World cards in hand. :thumbsup2 They don't care how early you get there. :goodvibes

I love that boat ride from POR to DTD. It's so relaxing and perfect for an easier day!!

(not really sure exactly why now, but whatever... that's what I read).
because you can enter the park BEFORE it offically opens. so all those classic in front of the castle photos? yeah, no hordes of people in the photo behind you. It also is so magical to walk down main street without the people rushing past you.

How early can I get to my resort (All Star Movies) to get our passes?
How early do you want to go? they really don't care how early you come, so long as you know the room key side will not work until the room is ready. I've heard of people coming in at like 11pm the night before, and still grabbing their key to the world then, so they had it first thing in the morning. (they stayed off property that night.)

What time do you think we'd need to be at ASMv in order to get our luggage dropped off (we'll be driving, so we can leave our luggage in the car if we need to) and then get back over to MK for an 8:30am ADR??

If you plan on driving to the park, I'd go with what other poster said and be at the hotel around 7am. that should be enough time to get that all done. (you can have one adult go check in, while the other hands off all the luggage off.)

I've been stressing about this a little. A couple months ago I tried to call and change it, but as I expected there weren't any other openings :headache:

take a deep breathe, this is DISNEY you are going to! :rotfl: :cool1:

Don't just check once if you *really* want to change it. check online daily, and maybe call once a week. :confused3 I know I am checking twice a day on one of my ADR's in hope I can move it to an earlier time. people cancel and change things all the time, so things can open.

and if you end up like me, and really are stressing too hard over it. cancel it! This is YOUR trip and will be as fun or as :scared: as you want it to be. If this is stressing you out now, do you think you will enjoy it by the time it is actually happening or will you still feel that stress? You could cancel CRT, eat breakfast wherever (even at the house before you leave) and arrive in time for rope drop (opening time) and watch the pre-open show. that is another 'fun' and 'awesome' thing and it may not stress you as much? Or, just go when your family is up and ready to go. you do not have to plan every moment out, if that isn't how you normally like to vacation. No matter what happens, you know you will have an awesome time at disney, right ;) RIGHT! :cloud9:
:thumbsup2

Thanks for the replies! I feel much better knowing theydon't care how early I get there :)

Anyone know how successful you can be trying to get in earlier than your ADR?

Ooh! I know, I know, pick ME!!!

If you mean getting into a park before it opens for an ADR breakfast, at the Magic Kingdom they let you in starting at 7:50am for a meal that is any time before the park opens, at least that's what I have experienced.

We love to go around taking pictures in an empty magic kingdom!
