Okay...i'm looking for the perfect bag to carry with me into the theme parks. I've been reading a lot about the Baggalini (sp) Messenger bag, but I am wondering if it is the bag for me.

In the bag I choose, i'll have to fit an extra pair of shoes for me, an extra outfit for my 2 year old daughter, appoximately 3 bottles of Powerade and/or water, 2 pairs of sunshades - daughter and me, cellphone, park pass, room key, sun block, and water mister.

Can all of that fit into a Bagallini Messenger bag?

ETA: This will be my first time going so i'm really clueless about some things so i'm wondering what do you all do with your bag when you go on rides? Are your bags left in your stroller if you have one or can you put the bag under a seat on the rides or does it remain on your back?

Thanks!!!

This is the bag that I use in the parks. It is big enough for me to stick two changes of clothes for my kids (I put them in zip lock bags and squeeze alll the air out), 3-4 diapers, wipes, changing pad, my camera, wallet, sunglasses, a couple of pens, KTTW (park pass/room key), small thing of sunblock. The dimensions of the bag are 9” wide x 12” tall x 4” deep". I know it will fit a lot even though it doesn't look like it would, but if you try to squeeze extra shoes in there plus all the extra things, I don't think it would all fit in the messenger bag. You might need a slightly larger bag.

As far as your bag on the rides, you can take your bag on any of the rides you go on. We have taken our bags on every ride in the park. If it's a ride like ToT, I just string the bag through my feet so that it doesn't fly anywhere, but we take our bag everywhere.

Thanks! I may not need an extra pair of shoes, i'll bring an extra pair and leave them in the room. If my feet give me problems at the park, i'll know to wear the other pair the next day!

Now that my husband and I were both home today because of snow (well, ice really) I got him to seriously look at our schedule and we made some changes, but I feel better about it now that he has had input into it. I know he always tells me that I can do whatever I want, but it's his vacation too and I really want him to be happy with the decisions I make. I even let my 4 year old help make ADRS. He loves picking restaurants especially character meals. So, now I feel happy with the planning that is done so far. :thumbsup2

I love my messenger bag and have used it for Disney trips many times before but never with a toddler. I bought a bigger bag to carry but may return it. I just don't know if I can fit diapers, wipes, clothes, misting fans, ponchos and a camera in my Baggallini.

I try to do the same. My ADR's have Biergarten for DH, Chef Mickey's for DD, Garden Grill for DS and Hacienda (fireworks) and O'Hana (I LOVE Stitch) for me. Oh? Did you notice I had two choices? I do the planning so I should be rewarded 2x!! LOL The rest are places we haven't tried yet.

Anyone remember the name of the things you can buy that you can freeze to keep cool? Does chilly pads sound right? Anyone remember who makes them? I want to order mine now so that we have them for the summer.

I answered my own question. I found them on the Bass Pro Shops website. They are called Frogg Toggs Chilly Pads. We lost ours on a camping trip and I want to make sure we buy them before we go back to Disney again. They work really well in the heat.

I never could put our misting fan in it, but everyhing else that you named fit. Our misting fan is big though (it's one of the Disney ones)

Our resort has changed. We are going to be saying at Pop Centry june 12-18.

I updated it. :thumbsup2

Thanks for the info! I am definitely going to invest in these for the whole family.

Just wanted to hop over to the new thread and say I'm here! I have a feeling I'll be on here daily till our trip. I just can't get enough planning!

The chilly pads are great. My kids liked that they came in all different colors too. I made a mistake though. I found them on Cabella's website, not Bass Pro Shops, but I found them on the Frogg Toggs website for the same amount of money and you can pick your own color. The one's on cabellas, you just get whatever. They worked perfectly though. The great thing about them is that you wet them, but then they feel dry to the touch just really cool so there is no mess anywhere. When they dry out, you just wet them again. They stay cool for a long time.

I love planning Disney trips. We put the kids to bed last night and then we started talking about a vacation for next year, but I keep going back to Disney and how fun, family oriented, etc, it is. I just can't see taking the kids at such a young age to the Grand Canyon, a cruise, or camping. Maybe, I just haven't looked at all the possibilities for trips or maybe I just secretly don't want to go anywhere else right now. I am perfectly happy with my Disney trips. ;)

Oops, finally made it to the new thread! Re-posting what I accidentally wrote on the old one..

Just wanted to say hello to my fellow June DISers. I started my Spring semester today, and now more than ever I'm looking forward to June 1st!!!!

You all are full of wonderful information!

Stupid ?: How do you use the chilly pad? Do you use it like you would a wash cloth?

I've added the website to my favorites and stuffed it in my vacation folder. It's quickly filling up with things "I need to buy" for my trip....

I still haven't setted on a bag. I've saved 3 to my favorites. The Baggallini Messenger Sling Bag, the Ameribag Spiral Backpack, and the Overland Equipment Donner Shoulder Bag.

So many decisions. What's a girl to do :rotfl2:

I have two of the little Misty Mate fans. They are super small. My camera is HUGE, though.

I'm going to give my messenger bag a trial run today to see if it will work.

Off to search for chilly pads :goodvibes

Chilly pads sound..well..cool! I may get some for the rest of the family; for me, "some like it hot" is my motto! :rotfl: I've never carried a specific park bag and now that most of the kids are teens, I'm looking forward to travelling lighter. The only change of shoes we carry is flip-flops for wet rides. I remember one trip to AK when my DD's sneakers got soaked & started rubbing blister on her feet & we ran all over the gift shops looking for either shoes or just dry socks!

Hoping for cooler temps than last June-average was 98, it was HOT!

Yeah, I don't mind the heat either. It's not Disney to me unless it's hot, but the kids love the Chilly Pads.

Arrive 5/31 - 6/11 and staying at CBR. It will be me and my DS celebrating turning 13. We are both so excited :yay::yay::yay:
