We've been out of town all weekend, so I'm a bit behind! But, we had a fabulous weekend and come home only 45 days away from our trip!

1) Which way do you tour World Showcase; Mexico first or Canada first? We go both ways!

2) IN MK, which direction do you head first; left to Adventureland/Frontierland or right to Tomorrowland? Adventureland....always Pirates first....no matter what!

3) DO you pin trade? The kids do for the first two or three days of each trip before they decide they can't part with any they've collected.

4) Do you penny/coin press? This will be a major activity for us this year!

5) Which is your favorite 3-D attraction? Captain Eo. This is completely a childhood thing and I think my kids will hate it, but I'm so excited to see it again!

6) What time of year do you prefer to go to Disney? 2nd week of November

7) This trip, dining plan or OOP?Dining Plan!!!

8) This trip, parkhopping or not? We always hop!

9) This trip, staying on property or off property? We love staying on property!

10) This trip, water parks and more option or not? Nope, we're not fans of this option!

11) What is your favorite Disney smell? The flowers...specifically the marigolds, since I was a child at Disneyland they've always been the smell of Disney to me. I've been known to stand near them for a long time just inhaling deeply, it's like my own personal meditation!

12) What is your favorite music from a Disney park/ride? Grim Grinning Ghosts

13) What is one character you/your family must see? Mickey!

14) What is one photo opportunity you have to take each time? Family shot in front of the partners statue

15) What is your favorite thing to do on non-park days? Pool

16) What one attraction would you be very disappointed to see closed during your trip? Pirates or Haunted Mansion would be devastating

Glad to hear someone else has the same worries! The "wilting" is an issue for our crowd as well! My husband is already grumbling:headache: I know there are probably better times to go when it is not as warm or less crowded but I am hoping if I go into it expecting huge crowds and unbearable heat, I will either be pleasantly surprised or at the very least prepared. Once we get there and the excitement kicks in, I think it will be hard to remember that we cannot do it all. My motto will need to be "water, sunblock, can't do it all, repeat". We leave our house at 3:30 am the day we go to DW, have a 3 hr lay over in Toronto and arrive in Florida 1:00 pm, so before we even hit DW it would have been a long day! We will be staying at BWI, so I am hoping we can hit TL to cool off if we are up to it and Epcot in the evening (if we have not crashed before then). If we are really tired, probably just the BWI pool and Epcot as it is suppose to be 5 mins away. I have created a "schedule" based on the ADRs but will just do what we can when we get there.

Glad to hear someone else has the same worries!

I love your motto!

Hi everyone since this is the official June thread I have a question. We are going June 10-17 this year. We are avoiding HS/Star Wars weekend and miss Gay days. The plan is Epcot on SUn 6/12
HS on Mon 6/13
MK on Tue 6/14
break on 6/15
MK on 6/16 before we go home

We are staying offsite and MK on the 16th has EMH.

I have never gone in June. How bad are the crowds for these dates? Other than get there at ropedrop, use Fastpass, and have ADR's any other advice? Will the park be super bad on the 16th because of extra morning hours? I have BBB/pirate league appts at noon.

thanks for yalls help

I planned on packing sandals for my family to wear when we hit the parks in June, but after hearing about all of the walking, I am wondering if sneakers are better??? Any suggestions from those of you who have been there? I bought water shoes to wear at the water parks. Also, a silly question....do you wear hats at the water parks? I want to make sure we are covered in the line ups but thought you would probably not be able to wear them on the rides. In fact, now that I think of it...are you allowed to wear them on rides in the theme parks? So many questions and I still have 2 months to go!!!:crazy2:

We are very big on comfortable and supportive shoes in our family so we plan on sneakers for our park days. We will be bringing sandals (sport type) for the waterparks and I will leave that option open for a park day if it looks like an all day rain but otherwise happy feet are most important to me! I cannot understand how people can walk that far in flip flops :confused3

Whatever you bring, make sure they are well broken in, blisters will quickly bring down a vacation!

just jumping in to say i'm still here!
:surfweb:

Been sick so only been lurking.

oh, and I started a pre trip report. link in siggy.

DH wears sneakers to the parks for the most part - occasionally he will wear sandals. I like sandals or crocs - but sandals that are more of a sport sandal with some support - not just a flat dress sandal. DS prefers crocs or flip flops, is the same. I do pack sneakers for everyone just in case. We have done water shoes at the water parks but I think there are some instances where they aren't allowed (I can't remember for sure as we have only ever been to BB twice and TL never). The paths in the sun are really hot on the feet.....they do have water spraying along most of them though so when we are barefoot we try to stay in the water. Sorry - no answer for the hats.

Thanks! I think I will plan on having sneakers as our main footwear and water shoes as the water park gear, but pack the sandals as my "just-in-case" pair. I can only imagine how hot our feet will get in sneakers but would rather they were hot than sore.:cool1: As well, we all have the sporty type of sandal with velcro straps so they should be foot friendly if need be.

I never thought about the fact that the footwear should be broken in, but it makes sense. I will have to get the kids and DH to start wearing their newer footwear around before we leave.

When we went last time we went the first week in June and touring plans had the crowd levels at 5&6 that week. The longest we waited was 30 mins for Dumbo, most rides were walk on or minimal wait and we went during Star Wars Weekends. We are going the same time as you (6/11-18) and touring plans has them rated as 5's & 6's w/I think one 7 day. Now this may all change so I'm looking at it will probably be the same. Atleast I'm hoping, but w/a great touring plan anything is possible.

We take an extra pair of shoes "just-in-case" we get soaked during one of the famous Florida summer downpours.

Thanks. I wondered if I would be overpacking but the sandals can be my extras then. Do you bring extra clothes to the park with you "just-in-case" as well? We will have ponchos with us, but did not know if extra socks or clothes would be a good idea. I do not want to be carrying too much, but I do not want to be stuck either.

Post your state or country to get added to the Team June map!!!! I am sure their are more of you out there from different states, we only have 33 states and 2 countries. If your state is not in blue, it is not on the map on page one!

I guess we're the Official Team June representatives from Utah. I don't see it highlighted.

I wear my Teva Coronados in the parks and athletic flip flops around the resort. DH used to wear sneakers, he's since "upgraded" to Vibram Five Fingers... They are very very interesting... We get LOTS of comments from people standing in line with him. :rotfl2:

My DH tried a pair on today while we were out shopping. They are so crazy looking. I told him that even if he liked them, he couldn't wear them around me. ;)

That's so funny. I am actually the nut that BOUGHT THEM for DH! :rotfl2: You see, my DB (who will be turning the BIG 2-0 in 2 days) is in the Navy, and he convinced me that all the Navy guys have been using them to "work out" in (meaning run/train). I thought they were WAY to much money not to have DH like them, so i found a great coupon code on retailmenot.com and saved a bunch of $$$... and he loved them! He runs in them everyday since Christmas! (and THREE theme park trips later... they are still in great shape.
