I know that the CM can see your history of changes in your reservation. And I would say they sure do complain about me :lmao:

I have changed my reservation SO many times. Today I shortened the stay to make our March trip a BLT 4 nt GF 4 nt stay with the pin. Decided to by APs since we will be back in Dec. and now since we are getting APs and were going to go less expensive on the 2nd 1/2 I think TiW card is out best route.
So with saving that money from the DP ... I am going to call in the morning to see if I can again change my room. We can afford to go CL :yay: granted it is an outter lodge, but still. It will save on the out of pocket at least for breakfast. It is better than nothing right?
Or should I skip it? right now we have the GV and tower rooms booked one of each. Now I am confused again.

A 1BR Outer Lodge means the suite would be in one of the other buildings - Big Pine, Boca Chica, Conch or Sago. You would have access to the Sugar Loaf lounge though it wouldn't be as convenient obviously. We stayed in a 2BR in Big Pine Key and had access to SL and RPC though we used RPC exclusively. I would either keep the 2 rooms in SL or if you want a suite, and you can book one specifically in SL, go for that!

Thanks Minnesota.

So if you book the outer lodge you can go to either lodge? meaning if we want to use it mainly for a quick breakfast we can stop at RPC for creal on the way to the monorail.

gilsan We always enjoy a cabana too...It is a very relaxing way to spend some time at the pool...the cabana attendants are just wonderful...taking care of everything from drinks to towels...morning half day is from 10am to 2pm...I think you can book this 90 days out but I am not sure....???

Phyllis Beautiful pics...thanks for posting them....:)

Thanks BlueSkies.

They look like a nice way to spend time at the pool. We thought we would rent a morning spot and then go for tea in the afternoon. We have a reservation at the California Grill, but I may move it and just spend the day at GF. I can't wait!

Thanks for the compliments on the photos! When your shooting the GF, how can the photos not be awesome?

Here are a few more:

I'm pretty sure that for the last few years, they haven't been putting the tree up until Thanksgiving weekend...I miss it.

Phyllis More great pics...and your Dd is adorable...what a cute pic of her and Marie...I have not seen her around before either...

Love that gingerbread house...makes the lobby smelly incredibly good!

Thanks - we think she's pretty cute, too! It was Marie's idea to pose like that - DD is shy, but she went right along with it and I love that photo!

Have a great Thanksgiving everyone!

Thanks for all of the pictures Phyllis! I am so excited to go back to the Grand Floridian! Only 13 more days!

Thanks Minnesota.

That was our experience. We were told we could use either lounge. We were in BPK so the main building was the most convenient for us. Plus, I love RPC!!

The trees are up in the lobby and it looks amazing!

Are you there right now, Julie? What building are you in? What's new at the GF? Have fun!!!!:cool1:

Thanks for all of the pictures Phyllis! I am so excited to go back to the Grand Floridian! Only 13 more days!

You're close! Happy anticipation. :cloud9: We're close enough to our next trip that I'm getting excited now, too! No GF for us this time but we'll be there to shop and dine as always. :goodvibes

minniesota, what is the setup of a 1 BR suite?

Hi! I have a question about Sugar Loaf.

We're staying there this summer for our 10 year anniversary :goodvibes and I have requested a lodge tower room. I know there are only 3 in Sugar Loaf and nothing is guaranteed. But I was wondering if anyone knows if one of the lodge towers is on the top floor and has the vaulted ceilings? I love the dormer rooms, so that's my alternated request if we can't get a lodge tower room.

Thanks!

leanne If you are in a standard outer lodge room in SL you will have access to the SL lounge only... minniesota has the experience with staying in a suite (lucky her...)and I see that that will give you access to both...so I guess if decide to boOk a suite in SL you will have that extra lounge access...

BCV How nice a trip coming up..if not the GF let me guess... you will staying in BCV..or maybe BLT??? When are you going?? Are you planning on dining at Citricos??

scanne I am not sure about the vaulted ceilings in that 4th floor lodge tower room..but I do know that it does not have a balcony....

Our hope for xmas is to get the 1 BR and skip the seperate rooms.

My persistance paid off today! I have called every day, finally got a CM that found a SL outter lodge standard view for March. I know it will be an outter building but I will deal. We got a heck of a bargin on it with the pin. I will not give up ;) I will call until we leave to try and get the 1 BR. Who knows maybe some unfortunate soul will have to cancel or rebook

We are visiting GF in a few weeks and have reserved a basic Garden View Room. We have stayed at the GF 12 times, once a year, but have never stayed in a Club Room. If we decdie to splurge this year, it will be in the Sugar Loaf (?) building not the Main Building. We have stayed on the Club Level at Ritz Carltons several times and have enjoyed it, but don't know if $150.00 extra per day (for 7 days) is worth in since we will probably have the Dining Plan. Any advice would be appreciated.

minniesota, what is the setup of a 1 BR suite?

BCV23 - There are 3 floorplans for 1 BR outer lodge suites.

BN - Sleeps 6

BD - Sleeps 4

B4 - Sleeps 6

This is the floorplan of a 1BR in the main building.

We were actually in a 2-BR suite with this layout:

This slipper desert was ordered from private dining? Does anybody know if I would have to order this in advance? Price?

Yes, I would order a couple of days in advance. I know earlier this year the Slipper dessert was around $15. I love how it looks!:lovestruc
