That sounds like a room in Sugar Loaf to me, candy1.

minniesota, isn't that veal shank wonderful? I had the same thing a week ago. Wish I was enjoying that tonight.:sad1: Enjoy your last full day. Has it warmed up for you?

Thanks for the fast reply.
Do the rooms have balconies?I'm not sure what view we will have
Thanks

Yes, all the rooms have balconies although the ones on the first floor are raised just a few inches off the ground.:goodvibes Still they are enclosed and lovely.

Rooms in Sugar Loaf face either the marina or the courtyard with the pool. We've been on the marina side each of our Sugar Loaf stays but everyone seems to enjoy the courtyard view as well.

Sugar Loaf is great.....enjoy!

minniesota Sounds like a wonderful trip...from the massages to the delicious dinners! Glad that the weather has warmed up some too...The disney trips do seem to fly by though dont they...maybe its time to plan another one!!!

BTW is the hot tub open or are they working on it??

Safe travels home...

Yes, those GF stays go way too fast! The hot tub is open - they are just working behind it...between the hot tub and the sidewalk. We heard sawing noises from there today but haven't really heard what they are doing.

They did uncover all the plants today so it looks much nicer! The weather did warm up today. We started the day with fleece jackets but didn't need them by noon. I never wore a pair of capris or short sleeves the entire week! :scared1: DD and I did sit around the pool for an hour this afternoon (in our jeans and long sleeves!) but it felt great. Kids were in the pool for the first time all week.

Animal Kingdom today - we had lunch at Yak and Yeti and really liked it. The bus time from GF to AK was 15 minutes. Longer coming back (23 minutes) with the stop at Wilderness Lodge.

Dinner at Jiko ($20 cab ride from the GF) tonight. Loved it! We got to eat in the Wine Room - very nice.

I had a tour of the Roy Disney suite last night. It has been refurbished and looks fantastic! DD and DH want to stay there now.:rotfl:

Gotta start packing - ugh - but will post some pictures after I get through the re-entry to reality period!

Does anyone know if they provide I-pod docking stations in the rooms (I home)?? Thanks!!!:goodvibes

Yes, there are iHomes in all rooms.:thumbsup2

minniesota, safe and easy travels.:goodvibes Can't wait to see your photos.:surfweb: BTW I read on another thread that the decorations were still up in the parks because it had been to cold at night to remove them.

It looks like the launch will be docking at a different spot in the near future. Just a heads up for everyone:

Just saw pics of Epcot yesterday and the tree and decorations are down... oh well. Guess Christmas has to end sometime. Still happy for anyone (and a bit jealous ;)) on their way to Disney- ENJOY!

Anyone stayed in both the standard rooms and the lodge tower rooms? We booked a bounce back during our recent stay at AKL for a standard Garden View room.
We got a really good rate--$2690.00 for seven days plus tickets for the three of us.
Looking at the floor plans now, wondering if it would be worth it to upgrade to a Lodge Tower room. Any insight?
We've never stayed at the GF before, so I could use some info from those who have. TIA

I'm starting to dig out of the laundry and took time to upload my photos. I used a new point and shoot camera that I am not thrilled with. I am used to an SLR but thought I'd pack light this time! So...here are a few samples from our trip this past week.

We had 2 rooms in RPC and this was the view from our room (no zoom):

minniesota, thanks for sharing your photos.:surfweb: Those of the castle are so beautiful.

How thoughtful of IPO and the GF to acknowledge your anniversary. 20 years is a great milestone....congrats again.

minniesota Thanks for posting your pics...I agree that castle view especially in the evening is just beatiful! :cloud9: How nice of IPO to send you those gifts!

Hope that you had a great trip! Cant wait to see more pics!

Just booked Theme Park View -- Anyone know what building I might be in and which one would have the best castle view? Any pictures?

I'm guessing that Conch Key might have the most direct view but probably could be in Boca Chica or Sago Cay too.

Thank you! I always search first but couldn't find much information about this specific view. This is not concierge/club level.

Our boca chica tpv room was mostly of space mountain and only the castle if I looked way left and peeked through the trees. I would request conch or even ask for a castle view. I'm not sure they honor those types of requests but you can try. Our room view was lovely - we could see all the resorts around the lagoon and the mk and it was a surprise upgrade so we were happy.

Minniesota - welcome back. Your pics are awesome - I want to mention not just the content but you must have a really nice camera or know how to use it! Very clear! Thanks for posting them here.

Anyone have pictures of the "Deluxe King" rooms (booking category) in the RPC? Are they considerably nicer rooms?

Thanks!

I don't have photos, but I remember that they were posted on the boards a while back. The rooms are considerably larger than the regular rooms in RPC, but they only sleep 2. If I were a party of 2, I'd seriously consider one of those rooms. I hope you can find some photos!:)

We found some pics and layouts from previous posts, and decided to change our booking and go for it.. at 10:10 ET, offices close at 10. Hopefully they don't sell out overnight. ;)
