He has always hoped to stay at the tower MK view, as close to MK as possible....so ahould I call back, or request at check in?

Call now AND re-request at check-in. You won't be able to note any room location preferences if you do online check-in. The WDTC is very patient with resort changers/modifiers. Call them today and tell them that you want to modify your room request to an: "odd numbered room, close to the MK (or "as far from CM's as possible") and, as high a floor as possible." Ask them to read back your request to you, (as it may or may not appear on your invoice which can be unsettling when you think that your request hasn't been noted).

Have a fantastic trip and don't forget to post a CR/TR when you get back.

Thank you so much spaceace, I have been on the boards for about 3 hours looking for a pic of the balcony space, wondering if 5 of us could sit out there and eat dinner while watching wishes, thanks to your photo I think it would b a bit tight.

You are welcome! But ya, 5 would be tight (standing you might be OK, but siting not really). You could probably get 3 sitting comfortably and then maybe have to other two in the doorway or something.

Thanks everyone...I called back, noted room 4747 if possible, on the opposite end of CM's, (also said the end that the new skywalk attaches too) if 4747 not possible, highest floor /odd # room. Not the worst if we get even, since DS can view from the daybed...but MORE us can enjoy from an odd # room. Just weird that the CM's have been having trouble identifying the location..todays was a bit undertain as well, kept asking did I meas to view the new BLT...ummmm, no I have MK view booked, do NOT write anything about Bay Lake , but I realize they are booking agents, does not mean they have been to the resorts per say to visualize.
I ,too, am curious about the pool status,as we are going to be spending time at the resort for sure. I also noticed that the Mouseboat rules for drivers now says 16 to drive alone ...DS drove alone before and he is only 14 ...he met the height requirement, he will be VERY bummed if he can't go out...well. I guess DH or I can go w/him and let him do the driving, but bummer.

I have read many posters (including CMs) who say that you should never request a specific room number because this limits the ability of the room assigner to get you what you really want: away from CM/high floor/odd-numbered room. It is extremely unlikely that the room assigner could actually give you (or anyone else) a specific room number. When you make a room location preference it's best to make it short and concise and descriptive of what you are really looking for so that the room assigner can more easily accommodate your request.

Where did you see this notice of the age change for the boats? Is is for the Sea Raycers? We are going in September, and driving the boat is what my DS13 is most looking forward to on this trip.

I "think" it was on the Sammy Duvals page...but now I am thinking it would be for the bigger jet ski type water craft...not the watermouse/mouseboat etc. I was looking for discounts late last night and a link to the SD site had the generic info. I am getting skeptical that it is raised to 16, we would have heard from someone who has recently been , especially since so many package discounts are out there and include the 60 minute upgrade to rent in the package. I guess I should just call and ask. If I remember right it was 52 or 54" and age 12.

thanks for the good luck wishes....well, if I have botched things up ( and sounds like I may have) hopefully we can work something out at check in. Guess I was getting frustrated as after 3 calls and trying to expalin to be away from Chef Mickeys, none of the CM's were grasping what I was trying to request. At least when they read it back to me, was not very clear. Luckily we have an early flight and should be at CR by 11 a.m....and am not doing on line check in for this very reason, I would like CM interaction.Here's hoping!

Incase they can not do your requests at least you still have the Magic Kingdom View and that's what counts the most.

At least when they read it back to me, was not very clear. You didn't botch anything! As long as those other important room preferences are in your res., everything is fine. Checking-in early will make a big difference, just in case they haven't pre-assigned you close to what you were hoping.

My dad just came home with today's mail and we got our regular mailed confirmation for the 4/3 deal from the Walt Disney Travel Company, so it's great that we now have a second confirmation along with the one I printed online and it brings a smile to my face when we get mail from Walt Disney World.

Agreed 100%. I also wonder if it's a fluke that we got it today, because this past Saturday was 30 days until we arrive. If your going to ask why did we not get it on Saturday, it's because we don't mail delivered that day.

CR Resort Fan 4 Life - You are so right. Doesn't matter if it's an email or a regular letter, whenever I get something from Disney it makes me smile. I've been going to WDW for 20 years now and nothing feels like a vacation unless it's Disney! Can't wait for our trip either. Enjoy!

I called the CR to book 2 rooms for the first week in February. I was told that all that was available were club rooms and there was one standard king room with Garden View. I booked the Garden View Room for my sister, niece and nephew and my husband and I booked the club room with a Magic Kingdom view.

We really wanted my sister and kids in the same building as us but since we are paying for their room we couldn't afford club rooms for both of us. Is it possible that they are truly sold out for that time period or do they open up rooms once the new rates come out in August?
