I was wondering what kind of CR related merchandise is available and which gift shop has the best? I collect coffee mugs and I also have really cute resort themed picture frames from both the WL and the Poly from prior visits...I was hoping the CR had something nice too?

Based on what I have recently seen there is not much Contemporary merchandise. For example the Bay View Gifts store has only sold a white polo shirt with the Contemporary logo and some Contemporary post cards. There might have been a few other items but I don't remember if I saw them or not.

We are staying from Jan 25 - Feb 1. Will the pool be open? Do people swim at the end of Jan or is it too cold? We live in the arctic and my DD5 will be so disappointed if she can't go swimming.

My children always swam at WDW in the winter even if the lifeguards were in parkas. The weather varies a great deal in January and we always take layers but I think your DD will get her swim in if she's a typical Northerner. Have fun!

We are staying from Jan 25 - Feb 1. Will the pool be open? Do people swim at the end of Jan or is it too cold? We live in the arctic and my DD5 will be so disappointed if she can't go swimming.

We've gone to WDW twice in early February and we have always spent time swimming. It may not be warm enough every day but you should get a couple of days where it is.

Typically the pool is filled with people from Canada or the Northern States, so if you are from the Arctic you will be just fine.

We asked when we were there in July and they had nothing except a Contemporary pin. We have a pin for every resort we have stayed (only 3 so far) so I was happy for that, but disappointed they didn't have a t-shirt or coffee mug.

Hmmm...I didn't think of collecting pins from the resorts. I guess since there are no other options, that might just have to do. Thanks for the idea!

I would say if the weather is going to be around 70 - 80 degress then it would be ok to swim, so you just to wait and see once your there.

Hmmm...I didn't think of collecting pins from the resorts. I guess since there are no other options, that might just have to do. Thanks for the idea!

Don't forget THE coolest CR item ever made! The Contemporary Resort addon to the Monorail playset! My wife talks me out of it every time...but this time...

Funny you should mention this! I bought my DD the monorail playset for Christmas and I have been looking online for the Contemporary Resort addon...it has not been available for purchase for at least three months I look every day because I really wanted to give it to her on CHristmas morning...I'm crossing my fingers that they might have some more available before it's too late! So they sell them at the CR though?

I bought my DD the monorail playset for Christmas and I have been looking online for the Contemporary Resort addon...it has not been available for purchase for at least three months I look every day because I really wanted to give it to her on CHristmas morning...I'm crossing my fingers that they might have some more available before it's too late! So they sell them at the CR though?

They had a large stack of them in the fantasia gift shop on the 4th floor the last time we were there back in late April. Hope they are still there.

I might be wrong but I don't think I remember seeing the Contemporary Monorail addon being sold at any store in WDW. However next month when I back at WDW I will see if it's being sold.

Thank you very much. I just booked the CR for may 2010 with my special pin number(lucky me) and booked a theme park tower room but the cast member didn't seem too sure about the balcony. I'm sure glad I have my dis buddies to help me out. This will be my first time staying onsite after many driving trips to Orlando offsite. I really hope it is as magical as everyone says it is.
