Congratulations! What a wonderful Honeymoon you will have! :wizard:

Thank you Mrs. D! We're looking forward to it! My fiance is awesome...He's let me pick a trip back to the World....Even though we have been there the past two years already. He really must love me.

What is the best number to call 5-6 days ahead of check in to confirm your room requests for your reservation? I thought I'd seen that on here somewhere but can't find now. Thanks! :)

There is increasing speculation that the Walt Disney World monorail system will be operating on a reduced operating schedule in the near future due to the construction of the new Grand Floridian Resort DVC wing. The close proximity of the monorail beam to the construction site is assumed to be the primary factor in the need to halt monorail operations during certain times of the day. No details are yet available on when this will take place, or for how long. Alternative transportation would include additional watercraft and bus service. Should this come into effect, it will be the second major change to monorail operating hours in the last 12 months, following the suspension of monorail service during Extra Magic Hours since July 2011.

Tomorrow night I'll be laying in bed watching the castle change colors! :cloud9:

Can't wait!

so my mate who's coming with me to Orlando in 2013 watched some planning videos and said:

"that Contemporary-thing is really ugly, but the rooms seem to be very nice, the location is fine and it has a monorail"

Now I have a question in general about the booking-rates:

When Disney opens the booking window for 2013 and we book a garden-wing-room, is it possible to adjust the price when there will be any discounts or FD-promo later??

Is there only a garden-view or is there also a parking-lot-view?

I have been trying to figure out how we are going to get from CR to EP for our 8:00 a.m. Akershus ADR and have been getting conflicting answers. Was hoping tehre may be someone here who could clarify. I know the resort monrail starts at 7:00 but will the EP monorail be running from TTC for us to make it there by 8:00? If not, is there a bus there to get us to EP? Or, does a bus run directly from CR for early morning ADRs? Or, should we just take a cab? How long should we plan for this trip to take? Including time to walk from entrance to Norway? Thanks so much!

Yes, your reservation can be adjusted if/when a promo comes out for your dates, provided your resort/room type is available under that promo. Having a reservation already in place does not guarantee that a promo can be applied. Disney releases discounts to fill rooms, so if the resort you have booked is at or near capacity, Disney sees no need to offer a discount on that particular resort or room type. It is always best to have a 2nd (and sometimes 3rd) choice in mind, just in case your first choice isn't available :).

I think the garden wing rooms are only classified as "garden view", but hopefully someone will come along and confirm or correct me ;).

That will really be awful.

I would plan on one hour, so I would take the 0700 bus. I don't think the monorail will be running. I saw this post here that might be helpful:

We had an early ADR at Akershus the past 2 trips. This last trip we stayed at the Poly and walked to the TTC from there around 7:30/7:40. They had a CM standing at the entrance to the Epcot monorail telling us to head to the bus stop--the monorail wasn't running yet but the bus took us directly there with no stops. We got there in plenty of time!! The trip before they didn't have a CM there and we waited until 8 am for a monorail to arrive. Needless to say we were late to Akershus but it wasn't a problem. They realize there can sometimes be transportation issues!!

So that I got it right for you, I went to AllEars:

Buses for Epcot (Princess Breakfast at Norway) will start running at 7:00-7:15am DAILY.

This information is valid EVERY DAY, and for ALL DISNEY RESORTS serviced by Bus transportation.

These buses are for Breakfasts only, and should not be used for general park access. Always let the driver know where you are going upon boarding the bus. Most times, the driver will be able to take you directly (ie: Contemporary, for Chef Mickey's) but sometimes this is not possible. As such, you should always allow time for a connection when going Resort to Resort. Actual arrival times will vary by location.

There is also a GW Standard View which is of the parking lot/monorail:)

HELLO! :wave2:

I have a quickie question! :) Does anyone know where to find a "convention schedule" for the CR in June? Our vacay starts June 1st and I was trying to get a heads up on if any conventions will be taking place during that time :confused3

Thank you! :thumbsup2
