As you're facing the front of the CR, it's just to the left of the entrance (port cochere). As you come out of the CR, it will be just to your right.

Thanks. We're looking forward to some CR time after our DCL cruise next month. All our dinners are planned around the monorail loop. We enjoyed the CR in '06, but didn't use DME then.

I've never used DME since we switched to driving to FL ten years ago. I hope you have a great land/sea vacation!

Never done club level at CR... do they greet you upon arrival and take you upstairs or do I check in downstairs?

They are supposed to escort you upstairs, however, this doesn't always happen. Let the bellman know that you're staying CL and they should send someone to escort you. If they're too busy, etc... you might have to check-in downstairs, but as long as someone knows you're staying CL, they should attempt to have you check-in upstairs.

Whenever we stayed Club Level at the Contemporary the Cast Member working the guard shack would radio ahead that we were driving up to the main entrance since they can see we were staying Club Level and a Cast Member was waiting there for us.

Just got back a few days ago from an 8 day stay at th Contemporary. It was everything we had hoped for, will definitely be going back in the future.

One of the points that put it over the top for me was when we were greeted by the CM as we arrived at the hotel from the ME Bus. The CM asked where we were visiting from? We're from Texas. Instantly, he said, Welcome Mr. Snyder to the Contemporary. Totally blew us away, started the trip off on the right foot.

Just thought I'd share that with you. Also I have some photos of the room, we were upgraded one of the larger rooms in the GW. Does anyone know how to post photos?

Thanks for that quick review and it's great you thought their service was better then what you were expecting.

As for posting pictures you can by registering with photo sharing sites like www.photobucket.com which is what I use. Basically all you do is up load the pictures from your computer and then you select the IMG code link when posting them.

Glad to kow you had such a good experience. We're staying in the GW at the CR in January. What are the chances that we can check in early? Our flight gets into MCO at 8:45 am probably putting us at the resort around 10:00am. Any chance you think they'd let us check in early since it's low season when we're going?

Thats awesome. We are bringing in the ME though. No big deal either way!:goodvibes

How comfortable are the daybeds? Also, how do you open them? We are thinking of a long weekedn before Christmas but there would be 5 of us in the room so we would need to use the day bed. Is it big enouch for a 5'8 13 year old boy?

Does anyone have any pics of what it looks like opened?

Thanks.

I can't comment on the Day Beds at the Contemporary, but since no one else responded, hopefully this will help :goodvibes

When we stayed at the Poly a few years ago, it was me, my parents and my brother. Since my brother and I were both in our 20s, we didn't particularly care to share a bed, so he took the day bed at the Poly. He's 5'10" and didn't have a problem with it. He can sleep anywhere though, so I'm not really sure how the comfort is, but I know he didn't have a problem height wise.

So happy to hear this! We're on way there in about five months! I'm not the one to ask about posting photos. There info about it, though, somewhere on here! Its pretty easy., but you need to use a photo sharing site like Photobucket.

Don't forget another difference is the chances of getting a room close to or right over Chef Mickey's and hearing that celebrate song which is played every half hour when they are open for breakfast and dinner. Some guests hate hearing it and others don't mind it, however at least in the Garden Wing rooms that's one thing you won't be hearing.

That celebration song practically ruined our stay when we were there for July 4th. Our plane got in at 2am and we wanted to sleep late, only to constantly hear this yelling and screaming all morning. Will never stay at the CR again. (will do BLT though!)

We're back from our 8 night stay at the Contemporary, 7 nights on a package + 1 night room only. We stayed in one room all 8 nights...

4737 right at the elevator bridge on the 11th floor, the highest non-CL floor:

The room was large and very quiet; we never heard a sound from the Grand Canyon concourse:

The two queen beds were very comfy:

The bath was modern and stylish but the sinks look better than they function:

The view was amazing:

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Contemporary!

Does anyone know if Giordano's delivers to the Contemporary and, if so, which location and what is their phone number? I thought Giordano's would be a good choice for our last night while packing.

I'll answer my own question for others wondering...

Yes they do! They deliver a great deep dish stuffed crust Chicago style pizza. Call the Lake Buena Vista location. Allow an hour and be sure to grab some plates, utensils and napkins from the Contempo Café.

And more; all of these were taken from the 11th floor.
