We are doing Chef Mickeys, Contempo Cafe, Les Chefs de France and definitely a trip to the Poly for Tonga Toast! We were considering Mythos at Universal, but now we think we will do Three Broomsticks. My DD is a Harry Potter fanatic, so we are doing IOA our first full day.
it is ALWAYS crowded at the harry potter place.. horribly crowded.... i went there this past septemberWe just paid for the trip so almost a month to go! We got all the ADRs we wanted at WDW!

Persistence paid off today. I've been checking online almost daily for an AP rate for the CR for our first 3 nights, but no rooms have been available - until today! I was finally able to book a GW/GV room and cancel our CSR reservation. There were also GW/STD rooms available, but that was it.
I thought something might open-up today because it's near the 5-day cancellation window. Sure enough, there were cancellations. The CM said that they've also been receiving more cancellations due to the bad winter storm in the midwest. I feel bad for those who have to cancel for any reason, but I am excited that we can go back to the CR soon
Can you specify MK view if you book club level (12th floor)? I wouldn't want to do it if we couldn't have MK view I might be crazy, but I thought I remembered reading that you couldn't specify view if you booked club level. But sounds crazy to me 
DH will be home from work in a couple hours so I have be prepared to butter him up 
We have a CR - MK view room booked for Jan 1 -12. But DH just got some terrific news and I'm thinking this is the perfect time to convince him to upgrade to club level

Keeping our fingers crossed for a great CR stay in early February! I'm a little scared because of some of the reviews, but it's hard to pass up a MK view in a monorail resort when you have kids who love trains and all things like them!

Thank you, we did! We moved today over to the WL/CL for 8 nights; we just love the Lodge and the Old Faithful Club.
When I read your comment about the cold, I assumed we missed that really cold weather. We checked-in on 12/20 and it was in the lower 60's. 12/21 was in the lower 70's. Since it was so warm, it never felt cold at the CR. Maybe they increased the temp. on the 4th floor after the cold snap?

Today was in the 50's and the hallways are chilly here at the WL, but I wasn't on the CR's 4th floor today, so I can't tell you if it felt colder than the previous 3 days.
So far, the Old Faithful Club here at the WL is our favorite CL. I noticed you're booked again in August at BWI. Looks like neither of us may be going back to the CR in August
Same here. We asked to move once from the Poly to the CR and once from the YC to the CR because we missed it too much! However, I am NOT moving from where I am right now though
. The combination of the WL and the OFC is pretty darn perfect for Christmas
