Same here. We asked to move once from the Poly to the CR and once from the YC to the CR because we missed it too much! However, I am NOT moving from where I am right now though:goodvibes. The combination of the WL and the OFC is pretty darn perfect for Christmas:santa:

I hope the weather cooperates for the rest of your travels home.
Well right now I am in Dalton, Georgia and it's only going to get colder as we drive north, however we are use to it and the weather looks to be ok.

I asked the manager of BVG about the missing CR merchandise. She said that they were told that "they" are working on a new CR logo (gasp!) and that is partly why there isn't any new CR merchandise. She hoped that new CR merchandise might arrive in '11, but they haven't been given a date. There weren't even any ornaments this year. She said the closest they've gotten to having any logo merchandise was when they mistakenly sent Poly logo merchandise to the CR:laughing:

In contrast, I noticed that all the other MK Resorts currently have many logo items.

As I took the gingerbread photos, pieces of it were falling to the ground and they had placed a garbage can in front of it:sad2:

I'm still at the WL/OFC if anyone has any questions.

I noticed they had someone in a crane working on it on 2 separate occassions while we were there...once on the 8th and once on the 14th or 15th. In 2009 I didn't notice any extra work or problems holding it together. Doh!

Hmm... I wonder if they changed this year to some cheaper, inferior icing:scratchin

Thank you to WDWKOOK and thechesters420 for posting those amazing pictures.

As for the Contemporary getting a new logo I like the one they currently have, so it be intresting to see what the new one would look like.

Thanks for shareing the pics, you caught the intierior of CR at interesting angles.

I wonder how much the humidity or lack thereof effects the gingerbread built items, I recall someone mentioning about how cold it was on one of the floors in CR.

As far as a new logo, perhaps they are going combine BLT with the current CR logo only ? I think there is a need to show BLT is part of The Contempory Resort.

At the other DVC resorts the villas all seem more a part of the original resorts, and I find BLT has the feel of being a separate resort from CR while still shareing such thngs as check-in desk with CR. In talking to others I have found many are not aware about the check-in or the need to go to the Tower for such.

Since the Annual Pass rates or the current room only promotion goes until April 16, 2011 just for fun I was looking up our dates for this August at the Boardwalk to see if the Atrium Club floor was available under the rack rate. Well to my surprise it was sold out with the Magic Kingdom View and Bay Lake View, however all the non Club Level room categories are available from August 8 - August 22. So is it really sold out or have they not deicded to release those rooms yet unde the rack rate, because how can you explain all other room categories being available?

I'm still on vacation so I haven't checked yet, but maybe a convention blocked it out? I'm sure they'll reappear next year, don't you?

I had thought that it might be a convention, however in the past they usually reserve other rooms and not just the Club Level rooms. So that's why it seems very weird, although I am sure more rooms up there will become available.

Thanks for posting that information.

We tried The Wave for the first time this last trip. We may be in the minority on this one but we actually liked it better than the California Grill. Both the food and the ambience. :)
