Weird, began posting and it just disappeared... arrived on Thursday afternoon, discovered we were upgraded from atrium club theme park view to tower club theme park view 1 bedroom suite. Tower club CMs were great, floor was not busy at all. Boy were the parks though! And man was it HOT! Heard someone at SCI FI on Saturday try to get a table and were told try back after 10PM (park closure). Another family was told they might could get in the next day! Rain each afternoon, sometimes severe. Now just on to the laundry!

Where exactly did you find out about the upgrade? Was it after you arrived and found out when a Cast Member called the Atrium Club to let them know or was it another way? Also how did you like the lounge on the 14th floor and do you have any picutres you can post?

Just got home. We loved the CR and had a great trip. The MK view is amazing. Hubby says he will never stay anywhere else again (he loved the monorail he hates waiting on buses). The room was awesome we were in the center close to the elevators. When we checked in at 7:30am our room was ready, which was great. We drove all night and we were so ready to lay down for awhile. I was afraid my husband was going to have to wait until 3 that afternoon for a bed. The CR is not a quiet resort but, once we closed our door we didn't hear anything and we were on the 7th floor. There will be no more spending hours on what resort to pick for us anymore. We had family that stayed at the Wilderness Lodge and it was nice to. Maybe on a shorter trip where it is just me and my husband we might stay there. The parks were very crowded but, we had dream fast passes which made it much easier. I will never go back this time of year again though. I can do crowds or heat but, not both at the same time. If you have any questions I will try to answer them.

When we arrived at the guard shack our car pass had a "V" on it instead of a "C" like usual. I drove up to the front and there were two CL CMs waiting. I think the young man (Jon Michael maybe) may have been training. The woman greeted me by the car and told me welcome to the CR, we had been chosen to receive an upgrade to the tower club and had been given a 1 bedroom suite. The bellman unloaded our car and DH went to self park. The young man stayed downstairs with him and we went on up to the lounge. We took care of check in and got our keys and she walked us down. The room was nice, not updated like the other floors though, walls are beige, furniture still a little futuristic looking. Flat screen tvs in both parlour and bedroom. Two full baths, one off the parlour had a huge walk in shower, the other was a nice sized regular bath with tub/shower combo, wc with additional sink. 3 balconies! Wet bar area with mini fridge (stinky) and microwave. Another moni fridge in the bedroom. The bedroom was a lock out, could be used as a regular room. There was another one locked out on the other side of the parlour.

Thanks for describing how it was and I wonder if the "V" meant you were a Club Level guest and it's something I am going to look for in August on our parking pass, because I have never noticed anything like that. Thanks for describing how it was and I wonder if the "V" meant you were a Club Level guest and it's something I am going to look for in August on our parking pass, because I have never noticed anything like that. Although I never paid to much attention to our parking pass and only to make sure it had the right dates on it.

In the past the car pass has said "C" for concierge, that's why I was a bit puzzled

I hope you (or am I confused and you're not leaving yet?) and Cinder have a cold front roll in, nobody gets sick and there are no lines, hurricanes or tropical storms (oh, and no bed bugs either). At least that's my wish 2 months from today when we arrive via Boca Raton

We check in this Saturday. DH wanted to know this morning how our luggage will get to our room "since we're staying in the park". He honestly has no clue as to what will be going on when we get there. He is just driving down and doing what I say....

I told him we would drive to the hotel, show our ressies to the guard, then drive up to the front door. We will be met there by a CM who will help us with our luggage (way more than I thought we'd have!) and we'd need to tip that person once we get to the room if the room is ready. I told him we had to have a CL CM come get us to take us to CL to check in because we can't get there without a key to access the CL floor.

Did I tell him correctly? Since we are leaving tomorrow, he is finally asking questions!

Yep, that 's the gist of it!

When they give you your parkign permit it should have a "C" in the corner of it. Ours this past week had a "V" and when we were met it was by two CMs that told us we were upgraded from atrium club MK to tower club MK view with a 1 bedroom suite! So look for the "C" on your car pass, if it's different, brace yourself! We were so pleased with thsi CL visit there, the bellmen, CMs, everyone we came in contact at the CR was wonderful. We frequently stay there, it's our favorite location, but this time was even nicer than usual. I just finished sending an email to them regarding how great their CMs were!

We're staying at the CR Feb 2011. I've always wanted to stay there, so I was thrilled when we found out that a convention that my husband is attending is being held there. We'll also be celebrating our 25th anniversary. Woohoo!!!

I hope you have a great time staying there. Also just so you know since your husband will be there on a convention rate that means you will either be in the Tower or Garden Wing, because those guests with conventions don't get to choose which room and location they want. The reason is the convention rates are less expensive then the regular room categories and etc.
