Thank-you gonesaleing! You've been really helpful! I loved your reviews on BLT too.

We just cannot decide where to stay! We're booked for the wing standard view. We really don't mind that. But we are celebrating our 10 yr anniv and both dh and I getting our masters. We are thinking about switching to the Poly which is our 1st choice, son (5) really wants to stay at the CR. Or possibly staying in the tower w/ Magic Kingdom view. I just don't know if it's really worth another $600ish dollars to do that. Is it really all that?

We just returned home from a stay at the CR and I fell in love...the hotel was wonderful and I am trying to save enough money to go again in January before my annual pass runs out.

Is there anywhere in the CR to get a bagel and cream cheese say like at the Contempo to Go? TIA:flower3:

I am so excited that I am returning to my favorite resort this July. I could only get the room for 4 nights so I will be staying at the Swan the first 3. Here's hoping the other 3 will open up for me so I can spend all my time at CR.

Now I need to book my dining. Thanks to everyone who takes the time to answer questions and post pictures, etc. in this thread. Reading it gets me so excited!

Yes, the Contempo has them, but no lox:sad2:

Great, Thanks WDWKOOK. My DH will be happy to hear about the bagels. Since I am on the subject of breakfast, have you ever had a mocha latte or coffee from the Contemporary Grounds? We love our Starbucks Latte's and was just wondring. Thanks again.

I hope something opens up for you. Keep checking online and by calling every so often. People cancel all the time so don't give-up!

Their coffee is good, but sometimes the line can be long in the mornings. I haven't ordered the ML, but it's now my DD11's favorite "adult beverage" (decaf., of course;)) But, I'm sure someone will post about their mocha latte experience:)

I was underwhelmed by their coffees/lattes. It's not Starbucks. I did not have a mocha--just a regular coffee. It wasn't bad coffee, just didn't have that 'edge' that Starbucks has, kwim?

Once I went later in the day and the CM working said he couldn't get me a drink because they were "out of coffee". It was an hour or so before closing. :confused3 I couldn't believe it.

The lattes are pretty good. They are a bit sweeter than Starbucks. If you're staying CL they have the machine and different syrups (vanilla, caramel, hazelnut) so you can make your own. They're just as good as downstairs.

You're welcome.

I forgot to mention that the made-to-order breakfast is served from 7-11 and lunch/dinner from 11-midnight.

Thanks! I have walked by it before, but never seen all the details!
So, the kiosks, do you order and pay there? Then pick it up at the window or something?
Is there any place to sit by some windows while you eat your food from there?

Thanks again!! Since we are only going to be there 2 nights, I want to make the best of it!

They're touch-screen kiosks. You order there, then go to the counter where you'll get your food (grab a tray), you can get drinks, etc from the cooler, or snacks from the shelves, then you take it to a cashier. The seating in Contempo is all open to the councourse, no window seats, but you see the monorail come by frequently!

When we were there 2 weeks ago you had to order, get your drinks then go to the cashier where you paid and they gave you a beeper that went off when your food was ready. I found it a bit confusing the first time we went.

Yes, that's the same way as the Poly.

Hi everyone! I'm subscribing to this thread. I have never stayed at Contemporary before and I actually never had a desire to but I have changed my mind with the addition of the Bay Lake Tower. I'm hoping to stay at BLT this year or next year (hope is the key word) so I want to keep up with all the juicy details ;)
