Seeing all these recent pictures and reviews...December can't come fast enough!!!! popcorn::

Just wanted to clarify the bridge from BLT to Contemporary goes from the 5th floor BLT to 4th floor Contemp?

I'm so upset! I posted the other day that I received an email and our ressie had been upgraded from a Garden Wing/Garden View room to a Tower/Bay Lake View.

I just received another email and now they have us back in a Garden Wing room!!

I have no idea why they have sent these emails. Oh yeah, we check in tomorrow!

Maybe the e-mail saying you got upgraded to the Tower - Bay Lake View was a mistake or something. I am also wondering did you look up your reservation on the WDW website to see if the room description had changed? In December 2007 before we arrived at the Polynesian we got an e-mail with a new confirmation because we got upgraded and our room description was changed on their website. Anyway no matter what I am sure you will have a great time and get all that figured out once you check-in.

I called the Reservations Center and they said since we are checking in tomorrow I should call the Contemporary directly.

I did that, was passed between 2 people and on to a 3rd person/supervisor. They were going to connect me to the supervisor, but the phone just kept ringing - no one ever picked up. I eventually hung up and called again. This time the front desk person put me on hold for a long time, came back and said "you are back in the Tower." She flat out refused to connect me to a supervisor! She also said they don't generate email, the Reservations Center sends the emails. Huh?

Anyhoo, I then got ANOTHER email showing the Tower and the WDW website confirms that. It's very strange since we didn't ask for an upgrade to begin with but then I almost fainted when they took it away. I guess it is back, but it should be interesting when we check in tomorrow.

Well when you get back home please let us know exactly what happened.

Phew, what an ordeal. Glad you called and straightened it all out.

You probably already know that when you call a resort (even from the resort) you're actually calling a call center in another city in FL. It seems this only ends up adding to the confusion when you're trying to get an answer to something. They almost always have to put you on hold and actually call the resort themselves. Guess they just don't trust us guests to have good enough questions for the resort itself:sad2:

Have a great time and enjoy your upgrade; you'll love the Tower and the price is right!

Thanks - I'll let ya'll know how it all turns out. Can't wait!
One month ago today I made the drive from Boca to WDW, too. Boy, I'd be there every weekend if I lived in Boca... Lion Country just isn't the same as AK;)

Watch for those Troopers on the Turnpike!

4 yr. old granddaughter used the slide and she did wear her floaties. Not sure of her exact height but she was able to ride Splash Mountain, Test Track (which she loved :lovestruc) and Soarin'. She had soooo much fun. There's also a neat water area at the Contemporary for that age group. The BLT pool was extremely crowded one afternoon and we ventured over to the other pool. Also a slide there that she used. You will LOVE BLT ... awesome resort! Will be posting pictures (2 bedroom) on Resort Photos and Videos sometime in the next couple of days...pool as well as rooms...if you'd like to check back. :tink:

Thanks for the info! I am so excited!!

We're off to the World!

We are actually taking Amtrak from the Deerfiled Beach Station (very close to where we live) to the Kissimmee Station. :hippie:

We are staying at the Contemporary next year for the first time and was wondering if someone can tell how big the fridge in the room is. Will it hold a gallon of milk (or a couple) or should I get it in smaller cartons?

Thanks for your help. :goodvibes

Got a question for all of you experts............
Have any of you visited the World in June? We are thinking of the 2nd week of June 2011. But would love some advice before continuing. Of we don't go then, we are thinking about doing a Christmas 2011 trip. Any thoughts on either of these?
