Hi all! Sorry for the long absence, but I have lurked and kept up. There were so many stories of bad luck several weeks ago, I got kind of scared, but I have caught up with y'all in the bad luck department.
My story about Elizabeth, my 41 year old daughter who was in
Disneyland all week with eight other people, has a happy ending.
Elizabeth had a lump on her right side below her ribs and she threw a bad score on liver function. When the CT came back weird, they did a biopsy and discovered a five pound 8 inch long malignant tumor growing in her liver. Two more days at Univ Washington in Seattle scared the you know what out of all of us!! Tuesday last the U called, said she has 26% of her liver left so that they can do surgery to remove the cancerous portion of her liver in a six hour surgery July 31st. She is so lucky- the tumor is encapsulated, but there is no explanation for it. There is usually chirrosis (sp) or hepatitis in a diagnosis of PRIMARY liver cancer, but not in her case. Primary liver cancer starts in the liver. Liver cancer usually is spread to the liver from another organ.
Appreciate your thoughts on Thursday the 31st. Love and miss you. Dav-odd
Very scary! Please don't pray for me or Elizabeth - please pray for the surgeons! Remember E is my only child and her daughters (the ones in my video) are 10 and 12 now.
