Been absent lately as we've been up north most of the time, back for a day or 2 and then back up.
Mostly renovating and updating.

Like to start off by wishing Marshay and family all the best, and hope everything goes well!!

Cat, how about being shot out of a cannon, maybe over the castle and landing in a big pile of Mickey plushes?!!
Dont think I'll be making any videos for the latest contest, too busy up north.

Tothesea, 100 point contract does sound like a deal, although the financing is not an issue to us, but we have been really thinking about it.
Also, resales for AKV have been showing up on the TSS, some as low as $90pp, but most have been stripped until 2010.

For all the other Adventurers, "HI" and glad to see a few familiar faces back in the last few weeks.
Back to the cottage now.

I'm currently working on Circusgirl's safari suggestion...but evidentally I have trouble drawing animals, so it may be awhile...

Hey guys! Babies on the way for Marshay...another Disney contest...and I just read this news from a conversation on another thread--DVC!!!

"Do you think you'll ever buy into the DVC? They are having an amazing deal right now. $500 down and $124 a month (until the loan is paid off) and you don't pay dues until May, I believe the dues are $39 a month.
It's for 100points... that gives you a week at most of the resorts."


I don't know how the whole point thing works, but this sure does sound like a good deal!

AND CONGRATS MARSHAY--I am SOOO happy for you and your family!!!!!

As an owner of DVC, all I can say is:

- if you plan to go to Disney at least every 3 years if not every 1-2 years;
- if you love/need/want the deluxe accommodations
- if you can afford the payments
- if you can plan out your vacations in advance (100 points is not a lot if you plan to go every year...but if you can go Sunday night to Thursday night in off-season you'll extend your points -- other times will "cost" more points)

then go for it!! It's a no-brainer.

You *can* always add on more points if you need it ... and if you get into financial issues, you can resell it for about 80-85% of your costs.

In anywhere from 4-7 years it will have already paid for itself considering the rooms (if paid for in cash) would cost minimum $250/night - $800 (Grand villa).

OK, I'll get off my DVC soapbox...we may need to add more points if we end up with twins (1BR only sleep 4, so if we end up with twins we'll need to add more points to get a 2BR each trip, once they turn 3 yo...)

But the thought of us sleeping in the same room as 1-3 kids would be We got spoiled by the 1BR already -- and it's only been 2 DVC trips.

Oh -- one negative -- although you are saving money on rooms, you will end up spending more on park tickets, flight, food, souvenirs, etc since you'll be going more often ... you really need to commit to Disney vacations...

Psst......anyone there? Did we forget to pay the power bill? Seems the lights are out and it is getting a bit chilly in here. Not good for Mrs. Fleagle you know, I have that "cold induced urticaria" thing. (Really, I do)

Want to have a happy thought? Remember when we'd go to the computer first thing in the morning and see that we had four or five pages to catch up on? How about roller skating in the basement? Remember when the board was a flood of activity and super late nights....or early days? Ahhh....just felt like taking a moment to reminisce.

I miss all the fun, but I'm glad the board is still creeping along.

August 9-16 in WDW. August 8 and August 17, on the road. If you are bored and/or have patience, you can check out my PTR. The only thing fixed is our ADRs and a KTTK tour. We had surf lessons scheduled, but they have been canceled for the rest of the year

I've been keeping you and your family in my thoughts and prayers. We'll all be anxiously waiting for some GREAT news. Just promise not to keep us waiting too long.

DW is still working on the scrapbook. She's waiting for some more pics so she can finish it up. Maybe one of these days (hopefully before Sep. 20) I'll give the Tie Dyed Shirts a try.

Well, since I'm here all by myself I guess I could post some pics of a couple of friends I had come and visit my family a while back.

Look, I got a pic of someone enjoying the pool.

Mickey wanted to join in the fun. He couldn't get too close to the water because he was afraid to get too wet. He did get to enjoy the water fall though.

Mickey got a little hungery watching Dory so he decided to grill some chicken.
