The Adventurosity Club

Justin's back! :cool1:

Doesn't it feel like - oooh I knew him when he was just a regular post-er! And now he's a big CELEBRITY! :worship:

Can't wait to live vicariously thru his adventures! popcorn::

It's so true!!!

Great to hear from you Justin, and hope it was even better than you thought it could be. Can't wait to hear all about it! :yay: :yay: :yay:

Hello!!!!

I wanted to pop on and say hi! I'm at work this morning and can't post much, but I didn't want to let much more time go by without letting you know I'm alive :), back in Pittsburgh :( and have wonderful things to report as soon as I can! :)

I'll try to be back on this evening after work to start the process of filling you all in!

WOW!!! HI JUSTIN!!! :yay:

Well, was it all that you expected or MORE?!

Oh, I am sooooooo happy to see you here!

Can't wait to hear all about it!

:worship: CONGRATULATIONS AGAIN JUSTIN!!!!! :worship:

Ann :)

Justin, come out, come out wherever you are ....

popcorn:: popcorn::

Ha! Thanks for making me laugh, guys! I'm sorry I didn't make it in last night (one of these days I'll be able to post here without first starting with an apology!!). Work and family stuff after having been gone for a few days just sort of consumed my whole weekend! BUT, I'll post some now and I aim to get back here later tonight to try and catch some of our night owls as well!

OMG!! You know we simply cannot wait that long!!! :rotfl:

We are so excited for you!! Wasn't TSM just one of the coolest family rides??

I can't wait to hear all the dreams that happened to you and that you were able to give to others. I hope you are taking notes during these trips -- not just for us but so you remember everything after your year is over. What an incredible ride, OOPS, I mean Attraction! you are having and what great stories you will be able to share with your family, friends and children (one day).

Welcome back!!

Thanks for the 'welcome back!' I thought of all you guys A LOT while I was down there! Toy Story Mania is absolutely one of the best family attractions I've ever experienced. It is A LOT of fun for everyone, it is easy to play, yet provides a challenge to the most 'game-experienced' in your group, it is long by todays ride standards, the queue has some incredible theming and details throughout, and the entire experience is something you want to repeat over and over again!

Welcome back Justin!! We can't wait to hear all about it!:cool1:

Thanks Disneyfalcon! I promise to fill you all in as soon as I can!

Ha ha! I'm still just a regular Disney fan like you guys! I'm just living a dream - - - truly, though, this experience is part of what makes Disney so incredible. Who else would give an average fan like one of us this kind of chance?

It's so true!!!

Great to hear from you Justin, and hope it was even better than you thought it could be. Can't wait to hear all about it! :yay: :yay: :yay:

Oh - - - I had imagined some pretty wild scenarios and it was STILL better than I ever thought it could be!

don't apologize....we are just honored that you are even taking the time to stop by in the midst of your busy life!

I look forward to hearing all about your first time duties as CMO!

what a great description! You should work for Disney! Oh yeah! You already do! :rotfl2:

Now, here's the part where I'm going to start leaning on some of YOU for help and advice. I am going to start some new CMO threads - specific to each activity or trip so that folks who don't already know about our little club can find me and ask questions. As you've learned, my techno-knowledge is pretty slim. Once I get a new thread going, I might need help linking to it from here (and from the "We be Trippin'" thread).

I'm also hoping that this can remain the wacky social hang out it is while we explore more detailed questions about the trips, responsibilities, attractions, Cast Members, etc, on the other threads. However, I'll get pretty lonely there if you don't stop by and post some questions!

I will be submitting some posts for the www.dreamcmo.com site. I don't know how quickly I'll get something to them or what the turn around time will be to get it posted, but please bookmark that page. Over the next year there will be updates periodically that I'm sure you'll want to read!

SO - - - here's the first important question for you . . . are you willing / able / interested in helping me spread the magic and get the word out about us on the rest of the DisBoards? If so, please send me your thoughts, questions, and ideas, and I'll start moving forward with things!

Yeah -- Justin!! Thanks for the update and no need to say you're sorry -- we are all busy and it's been a bit quiet around here.

I agree it will be nice if we can keep our family thread going so we are free to talk about any topic, but also think we need to instill some new life in our Disney Dreams.

I will be thinking about spreading the magic and sending ideas to you. As for thread on the DIS, basically, you just need to go to each section of the DIS and think of topic-related posts to add like for the Family section (How do you continue the Disney dream when you are home? What do you do as a family in the park to help make your Disney dream?) or for the Budget (Low-cost Disney dreams) or for the Trip Report section (my year as a Disney CMO), etc.

Just cut and paste the web address back to this thread and we'll come on over and chat there on the specific topic, too!

Hey guys!! What a weekend!! I went to a Braves game with a group of people from work Friday. Then we went to the Aquarium on Saturday. After that, DH and I went to Home Depot and got some flowers to plant outside for our open house yesterday. And then DH gets it in his mind that he wants to do some big overhaul of one side of our bushes...About 3 hours of digging up and planting stuff... Then we got up yesterday to begin the immaculate cleaning of the house...I'm really beat! The backs of my legs are killing me! I guess that's my body telling me I'm out of shape. Maybe I need to take some dance lessons - Mrs. Fleagle???? Are you still around????

On top of all that, my allergies are killing me. I can't focus on anything today. I just need to go home and soak in a nice hot bath, with my head in a plastic bubble.

I'm not sure how our open house went yesterday, but I'm guess not good or our agents would have told us by now. We're really not that happy with them anymore, and I think we're going to let them go once this contract is up next month.

Glad to see Justin had such a wonderful time on his first CMO assignment! I still need to go back and read the article Cat posted about. Glad to have you back, Justin!!

Alright, I really need to get back to work now...

Hi there Justin.

Glad you're back and can't wait to hear how your first CMO assignment worked out. :thumbsup2

Sorry I haven't been posting guys......everyone is sick, amidst guitar recitals, art shows, studio picture day, soccer games, and my dance recital coming up. Forrest was just accepted in the National Junior Honor Society....so we have a ceremony next week and another awards ceremony tomorrow night. I just really don't know how to fit it all in. Even my Vanilla Caramel coffee isn't doing the trick. :sad2:

Can't wait to hear from you Justin... it will give me something to look forward to!

I'll start trying to come up with some ideas, but meanwhile just let me know what I can do to help! :thumbsup2

Ditto! (I'll start by posting links to your new threads -- once they're ready -- on the "We Be Trippin'" thread. 'Just say the word...)

And, Cat, I just love the spinning barrel in your siggy! (I do believe I'm feeling a bit dizzy... :upsidedow )

Hey guys! Just checking in...

Anyone know what happened to Skinny Minnie, Miniature Mickey or Dinky Donald? I haven't seen them in a while...

That's a fine question, Marshay! :confused3

While I can't speak for Skinny Minnie or Dinky Donald, I heard a "vicious rumor" ;) that Miniature Mickey should be making his next appearance sometime soon!

Meanwhile...

Introducing the latest member of the “Fab Five” to join the “Skinnies”: It’s Pint-Sized Pluto (also known as Petite Pluto). He joined the DISgeeks family this weekend in Langhorne, PA, where they played at Sesame Place and participated in the Sesame Place Classic 1-mile fun run. (Mommy ran the 5K, too!)

Pluto & Company ride the new “Sunny Day Carousel.”

(Ironically, shortly after these photos were taken, the skies parted, and the remainder of the day was spent in a torrential downpour. :sad2: Oh well! The DISgeeks family made the most of it. And, luckily, Pluto is laminated!)

“Can You Tell Me How to Get to Sesame Street?”

(That’s right, folks! Shortly after an announcement that the Park would close early due to the nasty weather, the rain subsided, and the sun appeared! Go figure! )

The DISgeeks family stops for a light dinner en route home to the DC area.

(Pluto especially liked the fried pickles and the mini cheeseburgers at Cheeseburger in Paradise! :thumbsup2 )

Pluto is on the prowl. Stayed “tooned” to see where he winds up next...

Yeah Pluto!!!

So I haven't been to Sesame Place yet...how does it compare to other parks? What ages are appropriate? And how long did it take you to get there?

Are there "busses" of folks that go there or is it more like a mom and pop park?

Thanks for the info!
