Well as a true DISer, there was only one way to tell you about our day, and that was to do a mini trip report
A couple of weeks ago, Nat & I decided to have a shopping day to Leicester. The trains weren't running between Nuneaton/Hinckley & Leicester, so we decided to go by bus
Hubby dropped me at Nuneaton Bus Station around 8.30am, and I caught the 8.40am bus. The bus picked Nat up around 9ish and we continued onto Leicester
We got to Leicester around 9.45am, and we wandered into town. Nat pointed out the Litten Tree pub where we were going to have lunch, for us only to find that it was closed down
We walked on into the shopping centre, and within minutes we had made our first purchases of the day in Next. I bought a top and Nat got some croppped trousers. After wandering around the shopping centre, we decided to head to Starbucks for some refreshments. I had a hot chocolate and Nat had a coffee
Nat & her coffee
Me & my hot choccie
After our brief stop, we hit the shops again. Nat bought out 1/2 of Primark
(where's Joh and a pub when I need her
), and we went into most clothes shops and tried stuff on
I'm sure Nat bought more stuff, but for the life of me, I can't remember what else she bought, but by now it was time for some lunch. We wandered around looking for a Yate's pub, but when we couldn't find it, so we hopped into the next pub we found
Me & Nat
My Lasagne
Nat's Wrap
We had a lovely lunch. I had a vegetable lasagne and Nat had some kind of wrap with chips etc. After a couple (or 3) Bacardi and diet cokes for me and orange Reefs for Nat, we hit the shops again.
We went back to Next where I got some sunglasses for my hols and Nat got some clothes for her kids
We got the bus back around 2.30pm, Nat got off at Hinckley, and when I got back into Nuneaton I bought another nice top before ringing Paul to pick me up.
Nat, her shopping & the bus home
We had a great laugh. It was so nice to have a girly chat, do some shopping, have a nice lunch and have a few drinkypoos - what more could we want ?
My shopping
Thanks for a great day Nat
and I look forward to our next adventure
