I've told my husband (many times :sad2:) that they have his picture on file warning CMs of his temper. This played out in my favor last year - he had been battling Beach Club over dryers that wouldn't dry, and DVD players with remotes that wouldn't run them. We were headed to the lobby to thank the manager who finally got things fixed. As we were walking across the lobby, looking for a manager we had never met, she saw us and said "Oh you must be Danny" I laughed and told him that she recognized him from the picture they keep backstage!

HAHAHAHA! It would have been even funnier if you'd said to her, and she confirmed it! :lmao: I'm not so sure the battle of the dryers that won't dry isn't a worthy fight...I hate that! :headache: DVD players, I'm not so sure I'd even know... I'm in the room so little that I just never turn on the TV. :confused3

It is very sad to lose a refillable mug. We lost one in May. Carter was the last one to have it, and while he may have known where it was, he was not telling. :rotfl: We never did replace it. Anyway, I don't think it was that Moronic of a Mug-Related Moment. More like a Merely Mildly Moronic Mug-Related Moment. :)

I wish you could hang out more too. In fact, I wish you lived closer- it'd be fun to hang out in real life! Our PNW Meet is coming up FIRST WEEKEND OF APRIL. Wanna trade out Vegas for Salem. (We have oodles of casinos as well, and a great big canyon as well. ;))

It would be fun to hang out in real life. I was close to planning a trip out to Vancouver and taking the train down to you and fly home from there. Sadly I decided to go to Vegas instead and now am regretting it since you are having another MEET! Oh well. There will be other opportunities (I hope!) It's always a good time meeting up with y'all.

Kids are so funny like that! Like it's funny to keep a big secret, THAT COSTS $14!! Hard to be mad at them though when they're so danged cute! Now I don't fell so badly~ you all are so nice!

AW, poopdoodle!! I just talked to Tammie, and we're cooking up some fun plans!! I envision lots of yack time, some tasty eats, and a few drinkypoos as well.

No flaming here, it is not like you went to guest services and demanded another mug and then once you found the mug you made an effort to return the one they gave you. Nothing wrong with that.

Liessa loved the Mug story will remember that TIP when one of the kids loose their mugs in August !!:rotfl2:

I don't know if they'll do it for everyone. :confused3 Don't go and tell them Liesa sent you! :lmao:

Hi Liesa,

Things are okay in my world. Recovering from surgery which gives me time to DIS and to catch up!

I can't wait to read more...........

Uh oh!! Hope it wasn't too serious- glad you're recovering!!

Honest, I wasn't trying to pull one over on Disney- just an honest mistake, well, a mistake anyway.

So here is what I remember from that evening…"MugGate" is what I decided to call it. ;)

I was sitting on my bed…Liesa and I were talking about the days events. I went on and on about how great Disney had been to Baker's family...:thumbsup2

Then Liesa told me her mug story…

I can't remember all the details, honestly...to this day I laugh until I cry when I recall this whole scenario.

Now at this point, I don't think either of us realized that she had more than one mug…

She was either in the middle of telling the story or had just finished when I looked up and saw all three mugs on the table. It took me a second to realize what I was looking at. I counted them more than once.
But I think I looked up and asked her how she got the 2nd mug. She didn't realize she had two and looked where I was looking…She realized we both had a black mug AND she had a yellow top one, too. :scared1:  :scared1:

The realization hit her face :eek::guilty: …and we both just cracked up. We were seriously laughing so hard. Have you ever laughed so hard that you started laughing because you were laughing? The actual act of laughing so hard made us just laugh harder and the circle continued until we were practically on the floor laughing. :rotfl2:

We started discussing what she should do now…between fits of giggles. Should she return it? :teacher: What does she say? :faint:

Then I came up with a hilarious idea…We should ask the DIS!!!

We should totally start a thread on the Theme Parks Board and ask THEM what we should do? Like right NOW! I can get on my iPhone and start typing away.... :rolleyes1

This cracked us up so much…can you imagine the controversy?!? OMG! She has TWO mugs! I can't believe she did that! :surfweb:

And we could write back and say…but…she is a MISSIONARY…she doesn't have extra money…she is "entitled"...she deserves TWO mugs...:flower3:

And at that suggestion, we both just lost it…we were laughing so hard. Can you imagine what that thread would have looked like?! It would have been locked pretty fast…I mean, it would have contained a controversial topic AND religion. :sad2:

:lmao:

But the whole thing really gave us fits of laughter. In fact, I have laughed about it till I have cried twice today.

Some of these things in life are "you just had to be there" moments, but this one hopefully translated to be pretty funny to you guys, too.

I hope this seems funny to you guys, too. Some of those things in life are "you just had to be there" moments, but this one hopefully translated to be pretty funny to you guys, too.

:rotfl2::rotfl2: Yes, tears and twice, when Liesa told it and again when you did.

I can only imagine what anyone who walking outside the room was thinking as they passed by. :lmao::lmao:

I can imagine you're all laughing just as hard watching us 2 get our stories right. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

 Too cute. I love moments like that! I wish I could have been there. My kids hear me bust out a laugh until you cry every once and a while, I don't know if it's just the right amount of funny and right amount of being tired, what ever it is I like it! :thumbsup2

:rotfl2: OMG that is the funniest story!!!! First of all, bravo to you Liesa for asking for another - anyone that would flame you for that is a .... well, I don't know what. Crazy, I guess. But I am just dying at the idea that you guys considered asking the theme park board for advice!!:lmao: I'm sure that thread would have grown to 250 pages overnight! If you want to get flamed for something, that's the place to go!!!

:rotfl2: BUT SHE'S A MISSIONARY! Too funny. Personally, Liesa, I don't think there's anything wrong with what you did. The mug itself probably cost about forty-five cents and the soda or water or whatever else you put in there even less. Perhaps some would take exception to my ethical logic, but that's how I feel. Now people who try and fleece Disney out of dishonesty, as opposed to honest forgetfulness, that's a different story...

By the way, how did th Via work out for you? I'm thinking about going that route when we'r there. Seems pretty easy. I tried them once when they first came out and thought they were fine. Did it do the trick?

I'm super picky about coffee, even in ways I fail to understand myself, so I'm thinking making it in the room won't work for me, either, as we have a Keurig at home that I"m used to now. And as we all know most of the coffee at Disney leaves a bit to be desired. :lmao:

Honestly, I love those laugh until you cry moments, because they are by far, the most soul cleansing laugh. It's wonderful.

If it had been me it would prolly be while "Torpedoing or stuck in an elevator":rotfl2:I can just picture me explaining how my mug shot into the lake around Fantasmic or was lost in the elevator !!!:lmao:

:rotfl2: OMG Maroo - your story is way too funny! I can almost picture Liesa looking over and counting up the mugs...
1....2.......3 WHAT??????

And then to even consider posting on the Dis boards. The thread would still be going on now unless the mods had to close it down for inappropriate flaming and arguing. I can't go over there anymore because I think have those threads are insanity!

I think its great that you guys had such a great laugh over a mug that a CM found on property and recycled! Such a great story!

I think it's a combo of all of it! The funnier something is, and the harder you laugh, the funnier it is. And the best is when it happens between good friends or family!

Could you IMAGINE if we'd actually done it!!?? :lmao: We were so punchy that honestly, it's surprising we didn't. I think that's what made it even funnier, that we took the situation and just went with it to ABSOLUTELY ridiculous extremes.!!

No, there probably wasn't anything wrong with it, really. I just die laughing over it so often, even still. I guess in all my excitement of getting there, and still finding my routine, it just happened!

OK, VIA... It worked out GREAT!!! I actually have found an instant that I can live with. It's certainly NOT a latte, or espresso drink, but it works. In fact, I bought so many that I still have some left (my aunt surprised me with some before my trip as well) on my counter that I use in emergencies. AND you only need a half a packet for a still pretty strong coffee. I would definitely recommend them for those staying at a mod!!!

And for the record, I am super picky as well ;)

Even shall I say, cathartic?? :lmao:

hahaha! Yeah,

Oh my goodness, Oh my soul,
There goes Rosie's mug down the hole!!

:rotfl2: OMG Maroo - your story is way too funny! I can almost picture Liesa looking over and counting up the mugs...

I wish she'd gotten a picture of the look on my face!! :lmao:

I totally hear ya on the "going there" comment!! :sad2: Insane over there!

MEK, we had a dozen of these moments! Another one coming up WAY later, but just as funny!

:lmao: :lmao: Liesa is not a refillable mug crook.

:rotfl2: Honest. :lmao:
