50's is my favourite section of Pop! I'm glad that you got your request!

Good to know they really grill you before giving you a new key when you get locked out. :thumbsup2

We have a winner!!

I got U, I also got T but I'm not sure if I got it before Tammie. But who's counting?!?

Congratulations Magdalene!

Way to go girl!!

She had to borrow my wife's car the other day so before I left for work, I made sure it had plenty of gas. I also turned up the radio to full blast and set it to the Spanish station so that she could experience the spirit of Fiesta when she turned on the car. It's all about putting other first I always say.

:rotfl: If your known for anything GB it's your love for giving....gas.

thats a good one i need to do that to my MIL, she really honked us off this week.

they have been saying they want a new fire pit ring so we got them one for christmas, mind you it was not cheap.

now she says she wants to return it because it will cost over 500 dollars to put in the special fire proof bricks so it doesnt catch the ground on fire.
:sad2:

i did my own research and the stuff they need should cost under 20 bucks to put it in the existing location that they already have landscapped.

glenn help me out with a screaming, hitting your head on the wall smiley.

Poor Dan and Candy. Hope things turn out better. IL's can be silly at times. Especially as they get older, but you have some time before that starts to happen. Just remember grace goes a long way, and one day you'll be in their shoes. At least that's what I tell myself at times to get through.

Love your part of the TR Maroo. I remember that night before you left well, you and I were talking on the phone as you were about to go to bed. I prayed travel blessings and we decided it was God's trip to do with as He pleased. :goodvibes Boy did He ever! :goodvibes :thumbsup2

Great location Liesa!! I've not stayed in that location before, (stayed in the 60's) but I love the location!!

I loooove the food at POP, parm crusted chicken is sooooo good. :goodvibes So is the alfredo, and I don't typically like cream sauces. :sad2: Of course I put red pepper flakes on my pasta so maybe that had something to do with it, that or the fact we hadn't had anything to eat in over 9 hours
Getting trapped on a plane with two stops back to back and not being able to get off of said plane until our final and third stop will make anyone happy to see just about any kind of food!

Done!

Where is that tag fairy? "concvinced the guy I wasn't trying to steal someone's deodorant or tinkerbell shirt" :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Thanks, Tammie! I just got out of the bathtub where I put in a few more details to the outline; I should be fine tomorrow- ad libbing seems to work out ok for me most of the time.

Well, if I had said I was trying to rip off someone's Mickey Mouse ears, I knew he'd never let me in.

I am too, Lessa!! It was really a VERY nice location- and I did stop many times to be thankful while gazing out over the lake. :thumbsup2

Honestly, I am too. They are careful------ whereas, clearly, I am not. :lmao:

See? I scored a water view, and didn't even know I was in for that!! :woohoo: And... I didn't have to pay extra...!!!

My meal thing will bring back reminesces of a meal gone bad last summer.... I think you'll all have fun going down memory lane with me. LOL!!

As for red pepper flakes-- those are good on EVERYTHING; maybe even ice cream!! :cloud9::love::cloud9: Long plane rides make everything taste better too, especially lamb meatloaf, from what I understand. :lmao: Ok, that's not so funny.

Hey All, I see a few of you are on. I am checking in to take a break from working on my talk I will give tomorrow to a group of ladies at our church. The topic is finishing well, and how that relates to our return; how it is so easy to become discouraged (of living out of boxes, of not feeling settled in, of not having a job lined up yet, etc...) but that we've always been taken care of before, and how that can give hope and example of "finishing well".

Anyway, if you think about it, you can ask for wisdom and the right words for me to say tomorrow.

You embody finishing well. Though then again, are any of us really ever finished?

You will be inspirational, as you always are.

:goodvibes

But sending P&PT anyways!

Tramp kept us safe for the duration of our stay- phew!! I was so relieved that Tate didn't have to show anyone his ninja moves!

It was only the first of my MANY MORONIC MOMENTS!! I will actually do a whole post titled that at some point- it just got funnier and funnier as the week went on. You ain't seen nuthin' yet!!

I like to think I am very believable, but in the end, I think the guy was just so exasperated with me, he finally threw up his hands in desperation to get me out of his face.

Oh dear, something I would totally do, no wait, have done (did you read my costco story on Mary Ellen's thread?)

I do have 50's envy, that's what we'd requested before we did the last minute relo to WL....

:rotfl2: I have visions now of you sitting in the bathtub, laptop perched on your knees, while you "put in a few more details". :scared1: :rotfl2:

I know what you mean, I do my best thinking in the shower - I need to keep a wipe off board in there so I can write things down before I get dressed and forget.

:rotfl:

I do mine in the car. And then have to call myself, or email myself with what I thought.

Though I do have a notepad and pen in my vanity for those bathroom inspirations.

More often than not though it's something that hits me the minute I lay down for bed.

NOOOOOOOO! That's almost as bad as me having to trudge back to BLT for the camera battery I had with me all the time. Stupid cameras - they really can create havic sometime!

I love that location! I stayed in that same spot once and remember my GF saying, "You mean this ISN'T preferred?". No, I laughed..."That's for those silly people who WANT to be near the pool". I love POP. Seriously, I could stay in the best resorts on earth (well, I wish) and I would still love POP.

Can't wait to see where your solo travels take you next. Love Tate - perfect for POP!

I am always so paranoid I'm going to do exactly that same exact thing with the door. I've managed to do it with my car, but as of yet never at Disney (or home) thank goodness. So glad that they finally decided to let you back in!

Maroo, I love your flight story. With my fear of flying, those would be the PERFECT flight attendants for me.

Liesa, great update and great photos of the view and the icons. I've done that on occasion when Mark wasn't around...locked myself out and had to get another key. I don't remember quite 915 questions, but it was darn close. ;)

I was right across the way by Lady, so I agree with you about the convenience of the location.

I'm surprised you didn't jump on the bed. I did. I jumped more than once too and I have no shame in admitting that either.

Since I was there in December all my groovy tunes were Christmas ones. It's hard to shake your groove thang to "I'm gettin nothing Christmas." I did my best though.

I loved walking around Pop at night too, It's so festive with all their bright lights, and I love to look at peoples decorated windows.

Excellent location and view photos!:thumbsup2 I'm glad that the room met Tate's approval. I can't imagine how horrible it would be to bunk with an upset spud....

If you take a look at the bright side of the back and forth treks, at least you got some walking in. Oh wait, you were going to do THAT in the parks all day long.....silly me.:lmao:

No, none of us are ever REALLY finished, and in fact, one of my points is that until we die, it is always all about smooth and healthy transitions; and even when we do die, well... that's the transition we hope goes the smoothest, right? :rolleyes1 Anyway, since I got a late start in preparing, I will be doing a fair amount of note reading.

I must have missed that in her thread- I admit, I've done a fair amount of skimming in the last weeks as I've been sort of moving, and back and forth from Salem.

Hmmm.... I'm glad I stayed at POP just to say I had (and we did save a boatload of money!) but I think I may have chosen WL over that!

I've been tempted, but am too paranoid it'd fall in! That would be bad.

Like Cynthia, I do my best "thinking" as soon as my head hits the pillow. :sad2: Keeps me up for hours sometimes. UGH!!

:rotfl:

You call yourself??!! :lmao: I love it!!!

 I loved your description of Tramp!

He's a good pup!! I really liked that movie in its classic Disney style. Hard to believe it's over a half century old now!

NOOOOOOOO! That's almost as bad as me having to trudge back to BLT for the camera battery I had with me all the time. Stupid cameras - they really can create havic sometime!

I thought of you when I wrote that actually!! I felt like such a doofus having to tell the front desk I was "just taking pictures". I had no idea they even did the lock behind your behind thing! :confused3 I sure learned quickly! and was completely paranoid about my key from then on. But as usual, a bit of KEY DRAMA is coming up shortly...

Silly indeed!!! The pool was always noisy, and that was the small one!

I do feel like I want to put a bit more commentary on to the POP... Maybe when I get to day 3, after I've been there a day or two...

Well, my solo travels first take me to lunch in the food court- with

Chinese Culinary Concoctions...

That is a GORGEOUS view from the back of your building! I bet you were tickled pink your requests were honored. :thumbsup2 I do more than one moronic thing daily so the door locking makes my sympathize with you. :goodvibes

It might have been avoided in the first place had I even stopped to think about it!! In my exuberance of getting my view shots, I didn't even give it a second thought. And man, can those doors slam! As if saying, "Take that, idiot!"

I've done it a time or two in my car too. DOH!!

Maroo, I love your flight story. With my fear of flying, those would be the PERFECT flight attendants for me.

It really is a big pain!! Not just the fact that they hassle you, but that the buildings are quite a hike- even if you thought they weren't at first... :lmao:

I liked theTramp side because the side away from the pool is water view!! is the non-pool side parking lot by Lady?? I need to look at a map. Either way, the feel of the 50s is so much more my style than say the 60s. I still don't like that music for some reason- too folksy (ie. mamas and the Papas) for me.

It took great restraint to not jump, but I wanted the room to look nice for Mary when she showed up!

That's so cool that they change the music for Christmas!! I love that!

And festive is a great word for describing POP at night! There just seems to be such a fun energy there that the other resorts don't have. Activity and hub-bub all the time!

Have you ever put one in the microwave withouth piercing it?? Yeah, like that.

Hahahaha!! yeah, the back and forth thing got old quickly, and you'll see why in oh... say a day and a half. :rolleyes1

Well moronic things did become a daily occurence at WDW- seems to bring out the imbicile in people like me. :lmao: My tickled pinkness sure matched my toes. Never thought of it that way!

Only you could take a "random" picture and have it spell-out "POO". :rotfl2:

Sorry that I didn't see this in a timely fashion. I'm glad Tammie was able to help out with this request!

Yeah, it being 'random' and all. :lmao: I don't know why stuff like that always happens to me. :confused3:rolleyes1:lmao:

I tried to get an older couple take a picture of me in front of the "tie-dye" sign, but apparently they didnt' know how to use a digital camera- and they didn't turn out. I thought it would have been cute with my nifty shrit on (as opposed to off).

I did the same thing at Epcot...coming up later in my TR. I plan to post the pictures as he took them. :rotfl2:
