Hi Liesa,

How was your trip to Salem? Are you going to tell us about your surprise?:yay:

Your neighbor sounds like a lot of fun!! I foresee many fun evenings at her house!! ;)

I think A- ll the A- pprehension was for naught! But I can imagine how many times A-ll those questions swam around in that heart of yours. See. We had NO idea that $$ were tight going into this!! You never really brought it up- except for once; but I'll leave that to the TR!! Another story right there...

Great choice of an "A" post, My Friend!!!

Thanks! :)

Trip was great. It is obvious the big house is becoming WAY too much for Dad, and many things have really slipped. I spent pretty much all morning cleaning the kitchen floor and baseboards with a scrubbie and comet, doing the backsplashes, wiping the fridge, etc.... The yard is a disaster, but we had plans to let it go back to natural forest anyway. Mike spent the day with his newest man-toy- the chainsaw clearing, and pruning. We have WAY more than enough wood now for the winter.

Bek and I picked blackberries and huckleberries and I did up 4 pints of jam tonight. Mmmm!!! Surprise will be in approximately 8 installments from now. (of mine)

She's the only neighbor that's close to my age and that has similar interests. I think we'll get along famously!

I meant it!!! :goodvibes

I think she was referring to her trip. At the CSR and Marco(s?) Island.

When I posted that thought you two were meeting up somewhere...then read Kathy's posts on other threads and caught on...she'll see everyone in 2 weeks when she gets back. :thumbsup2 Some days I'm slower than others.:confused3

Dad lives in Salem, right?

Yum - I bet the jams are so delicious!! I am embarrassed to say I don't think I've ever had a huckleberry? I just googled it and they kind of look like blueberries? Are they tart?

You have NO idea how slow I can be sometimes. You should ask Mary how many times I "lost" my phone or camera during our last couple of days on our trip. It was completely pathetic! :sad2:

Yes, Salem.

They are so good!! Toast and jam at 11:30 PM is amazing!

Hmmm...huckles are a bit more tart that a blueberry, unless they've had gobs of sun. But, hey enough sugar helps anything go down- just ask Mary- Poppins, that is. They make awesome syrup!

Wow...two amazing intros! I can't wait to read more about what sounds like an amazing adventure!

(Plus, this is clearly where the fun lives.)

:welcome:!! So great to have you along for this exciting adventure of ours!!! I have no doubt you'll find fun and action here!!

I see your little green light on!!!!!!

I just got home from work now I need to read the last update. It probably took you all night to respond to all this banter while you were away! :lmao:

2 in a row! :)

Mary... wow so much to think about before you even left for this trip. But by reading your last line, it seems everything worked out.. for the best! :goodvibes

Apprehension.

Wow, that does sound like so much stress! I'm so stressed about our trip and it's just people I know, nothing new or scary. I keep second guessing all the details and finances are scary me this time around too.

So glad it was all worth it though and can't wait to read more!

HAHA... nahhh she was talking about me... AGAIN!
;)

Hi Tim, I just read through your TOC posts about your upcoming MAW trip and I was a blubbering idiot. I'm so glad you guys are getting to go on this trip and wow you must have such a strong family to endure all those hospitals and doctors visit. I had my DD's 18 month checkup yesterday and after reading your posts I have to admit I was even more grateful than usual after her checkup went well. I think I smothered her with more hugs and kisses than usual, lol :rotfl:

Hey Liesa, I don't have time to read everything right now since in 2 days you have gotten up to 12 pgs :scared1: but I'm in!

Ohh, Mary!!

I could feel your stress in the post..and even relate to it as I had a similar experience many years ago planning a trip for a family I'd met once with a teenager with serious challenges. Your concerns were my concerns exactly...but our trip worked out great and am praying yours did as well. Although I did not have a wheelchair to contend with..bless your heart!!

I also understand a Disney trip and sharing a room with someone you don't really know - did that the first time in 2004 and wondered all the same things. We had a great time and many trips followed. :) I have a trip planned with a DIS friend whom I've not yet met in person but we've become very good friends over the last year thanks to cell phones! I'm still a teeny bit concerned as we do the parks differently, but know we will compromise and have a wonderful time together. ::yes::

I feel sure your time with LeeAnn and Leisa was wonderful and cannot wait to hear all about it...about both experiences! popcorn::

Mary, I am so glad that all those worries about the trip were unnecessary and you had a wonderful trip! You kept so silent about most of them (the wheelchair issue is the only one I remember), and the one which you kept talking about before your trip is missing from your list: the weather! :goodvibes

Liesa, the new neighbour sounds lovely! I am impressed how busy you already are with makig jam while you are also bringing the house in Salem in order. :scared1: When are you going to move there?

Good Morning All!!!Ready for another update and more banter in between !!Both are wonderful!!Yes you too Marv and Glen!!:rotfl2:

Dear Lord...I just realized. I leave on my trip tomorrow. I'll be gone 7 full days. Do you know what that MEANS?!

When I log into the DIS next Sunday, this TR will be on the 143rd page of it's third thread.

Carp.

:headache:

(;))

Mary I'm so sorry you started your trip with some apprehension. But it sounds like Disney worked its Magic and all was well in the end.
