The ABC's of Trip Planning, Pt 1- K is for Keeping Things Kooky- Drinks V-Z; pg. 197 + New Link

I knew you would pass. My harem girls are smart.

I think they let you get all the way to the fountain where you are held and walk to Soarin'. Not sure if that has changed. I do know there is no easy way to get to the front from the EPCOT resorts.

Whoo Hoo!!!!!!! Congrats!!!!

I guess if you're staying at the EPCOT resorts, you may as well take advantage of the backdoor, right? We'll just hike it over to the other side, and be happy that we'll have a short commute home on the other end.

Congrats on passing! The math tests are always stressful. Are you allowed to use calculators? We were not which I always thought was a bit silly as in the real world I always use a calculator to make sure my math is correct.

We actually are allowed. Most mistakes that I know about that were made were things like giving the answer in what was infused rather than what was left to count in a bag or whatnot. Silly mistakes from not really reading the questions carefully. It is silly to not use a calculator; it's just plain safer.

Yay! I knew you would pass! :jumping3::Pinkbounc:bounce:
To back up, I really enjoyed your mini TR. I seem to be reading at night when I'm too tired to reply. It's good you got to meet the girl's fam, even if they aren't so sure yet.

You will Def want the FP+ for TSMM, hopefully you can get a second. The new system often makes the lines really long. Riding TOT until you puke will probably be doable. with the tiering, you will be able to get TOT and TSMM but not RNRC at the same time. It makes planning difficult, especially if you wanted to relax in the morning. WHAT? Relax at Dusney???

Thanks, Tammie!

You know what's funny....?? Emily's dad was the ONLY person who got Andrew a Boot Camp Graduation gift (and sent it with Emily to give to him); I didn't even think to send something back there. So he must be at least somewhat liked over there.

Yeah, I do think DHS will be tricky with the teiring, but I'm sure it'll work out. Definitely getting a FP+ for TSMM though!

And no. No relaxing at Disney unless it's a "designated rest time". Hmmm.... a DRT. I should trademark that.

Way to go on passing!!

Going back to your update about DHS plans...yeah...It's kinda hard to plan since so much is changing....I agree though...I look forward to some good photo ops!

My heart has a soft spot for Cobb Salads

I'm so with you. Although I always ask for it without egg...not a fan.

Yep, DRT should be added to the Sticky on the DIS contents page! It should be required in all of TGM and touring plans!!!

HAHA! That may be all that's left at that park until new (and hopefully much cooler) things are added. No worries; plenty of cool visual puns there for all. I nice Kung Fu pose like this is always fun:

Then, henceforth, a DRT is dubbed: Designated Rest Time

Thank you for co-enabling me to be a total geek.

Just gets better and better, don't it? (Have you ever smelled Crocs worn without socks? (Neither have I; I lost my poor Crocs right after that trip.))

Oh, no! You lost your Crocs??
(Reminds me, I still have to pay off a certain family member for tosssing them in the trash)

Whoops! You weren't supposed to read that last part.

Youa maka me laugh. I promise, I will never buy, wear or even look at Crocs again. I agree they are terribly ugly, but oh so terribly comfy. Really. Plus, I had also taken on that trip 2 NEW pair of sandals and was paranoid I'd end up with debillatating (which I can see is spelled wrong, but am far too lazy to fix) blisters... which I did anyway. I was glad to have them, and I don't care how dweeby they looked. That's my story and I"m sticking to it.

Atsa matta you?

Oh, I don't know. Elle bought some that were wedges (her first high heels) that were actually nice.

comfort trumps looks when travelling.

Weird. I'm never glad to have blisters.
To each their own, I suppose.

debilitatibitatoing

I'd make up a better one.
Maybe involving a shark and a ham sandwich.

Like that? Something like:

So one day while I was at DisneyWorld, I was wearing my pink Crocs that had saved me from debilitgihagatg blisters (with socks, just to tick Ponzi off) and found myself surrounded by jaw-gaping, sharp-toothed, child eating, sharks. Obviously jealous of my Crocs, he surged up behind me and nearly took my arm off as I tried to beat him back with said pink Croc. Since I had worn them without socks prior, the shark started to started to sneeze revealing a child-sized snack from earlier. Seeing that the child was succeeding in photo-bombing my cool story, I quickly shoved him back into the monstrous beast telling him that Mickey Mouse was "back there somewhere and needed a ham sandwich right away".

Perfect.
No ham sandwich, though.
But I can live with that. I especially liked how you shoved the photo-bombing kid back in!

OK, I can't believe that I have reached the current point of your thread. I have been reading since the end of May. Your thread was at page 54 when I started reading and it goes against every grain of my DIS logic because I have never started reading a thread which was more than 20 pages, but you impressed me as quite the person. From what I read on my friend's threads about how you lived in Crapistan and went back to school I am impressed with your will and drive. Me, myself would love to have this same drive, but I am far too indulged in my current life that I just kick back and rarely work unless leashed upon to do so! I look forward to your planning and am glad that I read almost everything. (I did skip over much of the chatter for the last month or two with the goal of actually being able to post that I have caught up.)

There is so much that I would want to have commented on like the Corvette sink hole (as we were visiting a car museum at the same time it happened and many thought it may have been that one), and your dates for the WDW trip as we will miss you by one day! :headache: And I am so glad your beau made it home safely from the fires! Plus your victory on making it through the first year with an A grade!

I hope that this year goes as well for you as the last, and I'm looking forward to hearing about every minute of it!

That was a very touching and beautiful post; thank you so much for your kind words and encouragements! It has indeed been a full and busy life and my kids and schooling definitely bring me a lot of joy and purpose. Like I said in my PM to you, I am really hoping after school life will really slow down for me, however, I can say, that I'm hoping to use my Nurse's training to go on to getting some FEMA training for disaster response nursing, and I suspect my oldest 2 kids (one whom is married and the other very close to it) will be having kids pretty soon which will make a busy grandma. (Ok, that was freaking weird to type!- I just don't feel that old!!!!!!!!!) Anyway, this year will be busy and stressful, but from what other nursing students tell me, will fly by and be done before I know it. Hopefully it won't end sooner than I think due to flunking out. :(

It has been a busy thread, I don't deny it. I love all the interactions here and the friendships I've made. Really the DIS has some fine folks on it. (Yes, there's the occasional bad apple, but that's true of life too.) Some of the chatter is just simply inane, ridiculous banter of us goofballs giving each other crap, easy to skip over unless you wanna join in. I know most folks reading along here, do; and that's totally ok. All that being said, I will definitely skip over to your thread (half of my battle is finding them, especially if they aren't on the traditional TR or PTR forum!) and join in. It may take a while to get caught up, but I'll get there. I know I have lecture ALL DAY Monday-Thursday and lab all day Friday this week, and our first exam Wednesday of next week, so when I'm not in class, I'll be studying alone or in my study group. The pressure is on to nail this first exam to I don't start the term behind the 8 ball.

Have a great weekend! I'm at the beach for a 3 day last minute getaway with my sweetie as that'll be it for 11 long weeks. He and I will be lucky to even see each other after Sunday.
