The ABC's of Trip Planning, Pt 1- K is for Keeping Things Kooky- Drinks V-Z; pg. 197 + New Link

Ok, TEAM STEPPE,

Today is the first of 6 Exams for this Term. To bring everyone up to speed, each term (there are 3 in the year) has 1 Math Exam that must be passed at 100% to progress, 5 regular exams of 50 questions, and one comprehensive final. Today is the math test; it starts at 10:00; and I'd love your good thoughts and prayers! I've done practice tests all week and think I'm ok, but one silly mistake like answering in teaspoons when they are asking for tablespoons will give me a PSR (Problem Solving Record- basically probation) and only 1 more chance.

I'll let you know later today how it went.....

I'm sure it'll be very creative and we'll all love it. Waiting is hard though.

I think Ender's Game has a similar scene...

I don't remember. I was disappointed by the movie, I remember that.
But then again, the book is so good, I'm not surprised that the movie didn't live up to it.

Oh, man. Pressure. Thinking of you! I support all the beautiful ladies in my harem!

Good luck!

Thank you so much everyone for the encouraging words and post-test party! It is a great feeling to get that one out of the way and not have it continuing to hang over me this whole week. Sadly, a couple of girls in my group didn't pass it, and will have to re-test next week, and like I mentioned will go into the term with a PSR. That's a very stressful way to start out the next 11 weeks with. It's been a long couple of days already, but I suppose that's the way it's going to be for the next 11 weeks. All the way until Christmas Break.

BUT, I just today, scheduled a 2-night, 3-day getaway for the Hubster and I to the beach (Lincoln City for you locals) at a B&B and have a couple of fabulous sounding dinner recommendations to for us to try. The best part: it's a total surprise as to where we're going. I told him only to take the day off, pack a bag with a variety of clothes and a swimsuit (there's a hot tub), and that we're going somewhere. I hope to get some fun photo time in for me, but as the term is already off and running (and it hasn't even officially started yet!) I'll have to bury myself in books too.

Love this one. And the other one as well. Nice color saturation.

Thanks! I was rather partial to that one myself. In fact, it's my FB cover photo right now.

Oh man, and I was getting all jealous and everything up to this point.

I hope our meals out this weekend are an improvement! It stinks to pay that much (thanks, Dad!) and have it be bad.

I thought it was a great movie, but then again, I didn't read the book. My kids all have and say the same thing- book is WAY better. My point was that puke always floats- at least in movies. So your baggie idea is a great one. All joking aside, I've never gotten sick on a ride, and I'd never really do so on ToT. I'm too busy having WAY too much fun!

My question is more along the lines of which would be faster, if we want to make sure to get into the RD mayhem. Walking from the Backdoor, or taking a bus all the way to the front. Since I'm not sure how it'll work out if we (or not) get FP+s for EPCOT, I want to hit up Soarin' right away first thing and try to hit up all the headliners w/o them.

1) I don't think there is a bus from Boardwalk to the front of Epcot. There is one from DHS, but not sure it would run before rope drop. When we were staying there there were conflicting infos as to where people were being hold for rope drop (at IG or in FW). But since then the whole rope drop system changed quite a bit (some parks went to not opening the turnstiles until opening time, so really no rope being dropped) and then back to a real rope drop. I found the people on the Boardwalk Resort FAQ most helpful for finding out the best rope drop strategy!

I think they let you get all the way to the fountain where you are held and walk to Soarin'. Not sure if that has changed. I do know there is no easy way to get to the front from the EPCOT resorts.
