DAY 11 - SUNDAY
There is a definite cold chill in the bed - no - I didn't leave the window open - it's the frosty atmosphere! I'm obviously still in the "dog house".
I Get the drinks in again (free one's) and try very hard to make polite conversation while I drive to the Travelodge Maingate where we are meeting DS1 and his DGF. They flew out a week after us and are in a hotel on the 192 so we are meeting up with them today.
After breakfast at the Ponderosa and a trip to the Flea Markets - the atmosphere starts to thaw out - looks like I'm forgiven (for now - filed away for later reference!) - Welcome back from Coventry!
I have learned a valuable lesson though - never, never, never question the navigational skills of your spouse - even if they are wrong - don't tell them - and particularly - DON'T RAISE YOUR VOICE.
We chill today. Take DS1 and DGF to I-Drive for a mooch round the shops and then back to AKL for a swim in the hotel pool. We dine at the Golden Corral before dropping them back at their hotel and returning to AKL for the evening.
DS laptops in the room while DW, DD and I take a walk out to the Arusha Rock and try out the night-vision goggles in the savannah. These are great little tools - you can see right into people's bedrooms! (The view of the animals is good too!).
It has been a nice change of pace today and I think we are now re-charged and ready for the challenge of the parks again.
I get the coffees in (FREE!) and we retire for an early night - 10.00.
Hurricane Francis has now been confirmed and the Bay News 9 Bloke pauses and gives me a smug look!
"OK - but that doesn't mean it's coming here though!" We'll see!
Tomorrow it's Animal Kingdom and Downtown Disney - hopefully.
Night all -
I have nightmares - what do you mean "Serves you right again?"
