Just found the TR, im so jealous you're leaving soon! I'm only on the second page so i'm gonna go catch up now!

OMGosh it's finally here!!! :Pinkbounc We leave for Disneyworld TOMORROW!

Revised to-do list:

  • Clean house top to bottom (um, sure, maybe just a little bit)
  • Contact POR with requests and let them know we'll be arriving after dinnertime
  • Finish packing (99% done!)
  • Switch vehicles with MIL Tuesday night and pack the van completely
  • Install DVD player and pick DVDs to watch
  • Bring the hamster to Will's house
  • Jory's end of year party Wed morning
  • Unplug PC, turn water off, turn thermostat up a bit, set timer on lights
  • Pick up Jess and Jayden from school
  • :cheer2: GO TO DISNEYWORLD!!!!!!!:cheer2:

The antibiotics seem to be helping. Jayden and I are both starting to feel a lot better, after just two doses! Mine are the largest antibiotic pills I've ever seen (they have potassium in them for some reason!) but I don't care - they're working!

The kids are 100% packed and after I finish two loads of laundry, Jeff and I will be done, too! We picked up a few odds and ends today at Target (Dramamine, more Motrin for Jayden since he finished almost a whole bottle since Sunday!, etc.) I have a few more things on my to do list and Jeff is cutting the lawn right now. I'm going to unpack and re-pack our toiletry bag just to be sure we have everything we need and then some... MIL will be here soon to swap vehicles. Then I'll install the DVD player and pack the kids' suitcases, 2 cases of water, and teh box of cereal and snacks into the van.

I also have our "carry-in" bag almost ready - with PJs, bathing suits, and a change of clothes. That way when we arrive at POR Wednesday night, we don't have to lug all the suitcases in if we don't want to. We'll be able to grab that and the toiletry bag and we'll have everything we need for that night and the following morning in the park. We can get the rest of our luggage the next afternoon.

It blows my mind that after all this planning we are finally ready to leave! There is much I didn't get done: tie-dying mickey shirts for all of us, finishing the last few pages of our 2005 Disney scrapbook, powercleaning the house (sickness derailed that plan yesterday!), learning how to use my new camera better, getting a couple of accessories for said camera, and studying TGM's site more thoroughly. But that is all good. This is going to be an amazing vacation. It will be so good to have almost two weeks of uninterrupted family time to reconnect after me being in school for three years. *sigh* Life is good, God is great!:)

This morning was Jory's preschool graduation. I can't believe my baby is going to be in kindergarten this year. We went to Olive Garden afterwards for lunch at his request (we went after my graduation, too, so he immediately thought of it LOL). It worked out well, because I just got a $20 OG gift card in the mail Saturday from my credit card rewards.

OK time to switch into high gear and complete my list. Thanks for joining me in this PTR and I can't wait to report back with all the fun we'll have!

Talk to you all in two weeks or so!!!

Jen,
I AM SO HAPPY FOR YOU!!!!:yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:
HAVE A GREAT TRIP!!! Can't wait to hear all about it when you get back. SOOO happy you are able to get sick before you leave and get those antibiotics before you left, that would have been awful timing to happen when you were down there (believe me I KNOW from personal experience), get all that illness out before you leave.
HAVE A MAGICAL TRIP!!!!!
Lesley

Did I miss you? Do I get to wish you well?
Have a great time !

Yay! It's here.:cheer2: I hope y'all have a great trip. What am I saying? A bad day at Disney is still better than any other good day. Can't wait to hear all about it and read your TR.

Thank you so much! You're absolutely right - as long as I'm in Disney, all is well with the world ;)

Revised to-do list:

  • Clean house top to bottom (not even close:sad2: but I don't care anymore)
  • Contact POR with requests and let them know we'll be arriving after dinnertime (decided to just let whatever will be, be. After all, we're arriving at an awful hour anyway. If it's a horribly terrible location, we'll ask to switch Thursday morning!)
  • Jory's end of year party Wed morning
  • Unplug PC, turn water off, turn thermostat up a bit
  • Throw pillows in car
  • Fill cooler with ice
  • Take Jayden's antibiotics out of the fridge and toss in cooler
  • Pick up Jess and Jayden from school
  • Pick up lunch
  • :cheer2: GO TO DISNEYWORLD!!!!!:cheer2:

 Yes, I'm back again! :flower3:

I cannot believe this.

As DH and I were packing the van, we realized we haven't seen our Teva sandals. We really only use them on vacation and I can't remember the last time I wore them - Myrtle Beach, maybe? Well, I must have had a wild idea to take them out of the front closet to make room or something, because they are nowhere to be found! :sad2: Two pairs of $80 Teva sandals that I bought specifically for our last Disney trip and they are "off hiding somewhere making Teva babies" as DH put it:rotfl:

We looked in the attic, in our closet, under the bed:eek: , EVERYWHERE I can think of, and no luck. So DH just ran to wallyworld to try to find a pair of sandals. I bought him a pair of Crocs:banana: but he wants a back up too since he's never worn them. Of course, the back up will be a pair he's never worn either :confused3 but whatever makes him happy :goodvibes I just still can't believe they are nowhere to be found. It is a mystery.

I am still feeling really worn out, but I think as long as I pop motrin every 6 hours, I'll be fine. Jayden still isn't his usual self, but we are going to rent a double stroller and let the boys relax while we tour, which should help:thumbsup2 If he gets tired, we'll just take more breaks than planned.

Oh and Jess is hacking her brains out now:guilty: Will it never end?

The boys did not want to go to bed tonight. They are excited of course, but they've also been this way for a couple weeks now - they are more than ready for school to be over for the summer and bedtime to be more relaxed.

Totally OT but was anyone else completely disappointed by the Grey's Anatomy season finale? :snooty: DH and I finally watched it last night (our DVR is ready to explode, it's so full! We are about 8 hours behind on 24, too! No time for TV when you're planning a Disney trip, apparently LOL). Anyway, when it was over, I felt totally unfulfilled:confused3 Totally shocked about George and will be ticked if that is how they tie up the Izzy/George/Callie storyline. And Callie as chief? What about Bailey? Just so unimpressed with this episode and now it's done til fall:sad2:

OK, rant over.

I feel like we're forgetting something.

Which is next to impossible, since I have lists for EVERYTHING.

But it still feels odd. Maybe it's the Teva thing that is throwing me off :confused3 Or DH suggested maybe it is that we ARE prepared that is making me feel so odd. Who knows.

Well I better go give Jess some meds and tell her to get to sleep. T-14 hours til departure!:yay:

Omigosh Jen. I was off for a day and you and the kids got sick!! :scared1: I am so glad you were able to get started on the meds, and I hope so much everything goes well. At least you have enough time to relax and enjoy the whole place. :woohoo: I will be looking forward to hearing all about it! (It is kind of bittersweet to see them heading off to kindergarten, isn't it? My DGD will be in kindergarten also. ) I'm dancing for you tonight! :dance3:

I just wanted to get in before you left and tell you I hope you have a WONDERFUL time, which I am sure you will! :cheer2: How can you not? I will say prayers that you and your family feel better and no more sickness!!!

Just relax, sit back and enjoy the magic that is Walt Disney World! :wizard:
I am looking forward to your TR!!!!

:happytv: Totally Agree... it was a horrible ending.... last year I could not wait to see how things resolved.. and there was truly nothing hopeful, or even positive to root for for next season!

But more importantly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Have a great trip!

Have a wonderful trip. Hope everyone is feeling better once they get there. Take lots of food pictures and memorize all the menus (LOL).
