Can't say you are wrong, but maybe some are and you just don't know it? I'm guessig here, but I know at least 3 or 4 25 year olds who are, but most would think that they are not. One is even in my family and she is, shall we say, an "entertainer"?

My cousin. She lives with my aunt in a retirement community. She has a very good job etc. I know no one she ever brought home was good enough for my aunt, our family joke was always the bridesmaid, never the bride.

Also my ds teacher. She proudly tells everyone all the time. I asked my dh if he thought a friend of his might be interested in going on a date with her, no luck so far.

Yep, I have a 50 something year old relative who is. His biggest problem has always been that he thinks that nothing less than a super model will do. While he is a less than average looking guy who is balding, pretty overweight, and stuck in a low paying dead end career. Now if he had Bill Gates money then I think that he could have a super model.They would both be getting something out of the deal. She would have a sugar daddy and he would have eye candy.

I know many people who chose to wait until marriage - whatever age that was. Quite a few of them were in their 30's when they married. I was 29. No need to feel sorry for me, I wouldn't change my decisions!

I know several... it's not as uncommon as what some may think, and it's not something to make fun of or make ignorant comments such as this. I respect my friends who decided to wait for the person who they want to spend the rest of their lives with in marriage.

I understand that the OP wasn't necessarily talking about people who are virgins based on Christian morals, even though that's the case with the people I know. No matter what the reason one may be a virgin, I'm sick of the attitude some take that there's something wrong with these people, and the insinuation that they are deprived individuals. There's more to living a fulfilled life than whether you've slept with someone or not. I think you should grow up, DisneyAddict_M. ETA: Whether you were kidding or not.

When I was first teaching our then-librarian was 43 and told me she was. That was 17 years ago and although she retired about 7 years ago, I have no reason to believe that has changed.

I don't think that my relative is deprived. I do think that he is shallow. His unrealistic expectations have kept him from have a real relationship with any woman and so I do think that his life is not as fulfilled as it could be.
