The 3rd time's the charm! Our 10th anniversary 03-2013 DR! *UPDATE 5/12 done!

After a while we went to get snacks from Big Top Souvenirs in Storybook Circus.

They had little sample cups of butterfinger apple and something else. DH got an apple one and said it was good.

We got a Mickey Mouse cookie for DD

The snacks were very good and the little seating area outside the gift shop was cute. There were 2 cart/snack stand things out there, too.

After doing a bunch more stuff (we really had a busy day!) I wanted a fruit and nutella waffle sandwich from Sleepy Hollow.

Yum!

DH wanted an iced mocha and I got a liberty swirl slush (fanta strawberry and blue raspberry slush) for DD.

The waffle was really good! I’m so glad I finally tried one.

Since my goal today was to just get a lot of snacks, much to DH’s disbelief, we stopped for popcorn over by Jungle Cruise.

We decided to eat dinner. We went to Pinocchios Village Haus. We had eaten there before, but they changed the menu since then. We got 2 meals to share.
Pepperoni flatbread, Italian sub, chocolate cake, soda, chocolate milk, and regular milk for the drinks/desserts.

It was really, really good! The Italian sub was really good and it isn’t even listed on Allears.net’s menu so that must be pretty new. It didn’t come with a side (the meatball sub comes with fries), but we had plenty to share since none of us were starving.

One of the workers came over with a little Pinocchio puppet while we were eating. It was cute.

We went back over to new Fantasyland. I wanted another LeFou’s brew before we had to go home! Since I knew we liked it, we sprang for the souvenir mug! We actually got 2 so we could get the Belle goblet and Gaston stein.

I took a picture of the trashcans, too, because I thought they were cute.

It was time for the dessert party

We had a front row table in a really good spot! I made reservations the day they opened.

DD just wanted the build your own ice cream sundae and lemonade.

My first trip I got a lime jello, cookie, cheesecake and chocolate cheesecake, a few cherries from the build your own sundae area, and a banana tart thing.

I really like the cheesecake and cookie. DD ended up eating my jello.

Then DH went up to get food. I didn’t get a picture of his plate, but he didn’t get too much stuff.

The chocolate covered strawberries were gone when each of us went up. I went to get coffee for me and hot chocolate for DD since it was pretty chilly and saw them, so I grabbed a couple.

The coffee was disappointing because it wasn’t hot, just warm, but it was better than nothing.

DS woke up so I went back up to get some fruit for him and I got an apple tart and mango shooter for me.

The apple dessert was really good. We fed him a few bites of food and I filled his sippy cup with some milk from the buffet.

We forgot to pack pants for the kids so I took off my coat and put it on DS like a blanket and DH put his coat over DD’s coat.

I took a couple pictures of the parade floats we could see, but they didn’t turn out terribly well.

When we got back to our table the railing was filled with people waiting to watch the castle show. So we watched that from our table. I was hoping some people would go back to sit down so we could get spots. A group that was right in the middle sat down and we stole their spots. I only felt slightly guilty because seriously if they wanted the prime spots, they should have stayed there! So we had a great view for the fireworks. DH held DD and I held DS while taking pictures. The things I do for pictures! My left arm was really hurting from holding DS. I think I got some good pictures though so it was worth it.

The desserts were pretty good and the view is fantastic! It was our second time doing the dessert party, and we’ll probably be doing it again.

We did some shopping then went to Earl of Sandwich and picked up lunch. We brought it back to the hotel to eat.

Ham and Swiss for the kids to share. I asked for mayo instead of mustard on the ham and cheese, but it came with mustard anyway. Neither kid ate a ton of it. They prefer mayo.

Potato salad and coleslaw

The potato salad and coleslaw were both really good. The coleslaw tasted sweet so when I looked at the ingredients I realized that there was powdered sugar in it.

Since we were done with lunch we ate the rest of our Starring Rolls desserts, DD ate more of her brownie with M&Ms and DH and I ate some of the red velvet cupcake. It was good, but we were pretty full and didn’t eat much dessert.

We took the kids over to the playground area so DD could play. I went to refill our drinks and stopped and got beignets!! I had it on my list of things to try and I knew I was running out of time! It was supposed to be an order of 3, but they gave me 4. I think I ate one and DH ate one. They were very good. I didn’t really know what to expect because they look so puffy in the pictures, but the center was hollow so it wasn’t a ton of food.
