The 3rd time's the charm! Our 10th anniversary 03-2013 DR! *UPDATE 5/12 done!

Great reviews. :thumbsup2 Did you HAVE to show all those yummy desserts! :( I swear looking at all food makes me sooo hungry!

Thanks for taking so many detailed pictures at Cape May! I'm thinking about going for the first time in October and I think that helped with my decision!!

Love all the pics! Your kids are adorable! Your food pics are making me starve, especially the Cape May Cafe pics! Yum!!! I'm bringing my bff, Kathy, to Cape May Cafe for dinner on Mother's Day, as a surprise. She's never been, & I think she'll love it. After all, we're both mothers, and it is Mother's Day, right? We just won't tell the hubbies, since they might get jealous! ;)

Oh, I know! Looking through everything to write the report always makes me want the food! When I wrote my AK update with the jalepeno cream cheese pretzel I told DH I really wanted another of those pretzels (he didn't know what I was doing on the computer). He immediately says "Are you looking at vacation pictures again?" um, maybe? LOL

Oh, it was so good! I would totally recommend it. DH was not looking forward to the transportation (bus and boat, then 2 buses home), but he even said it was so worth it. :cool1::thumbsup2

Cape May is a place that I've never tried, but pictures are very tempting.

Happy Belated Anniversary!
Thanks! You should try to fit Cape May in sometime...it was really good! I don't know if we'll do it every trip, but we'll definitely be there again.

Thanks! Yeah, that sounds great for you and your friend! Mother's Day is about whatever the mom wants to do. :thumbsup2

Love the pictures from Karmel krunche. Can't wait to spend all my snack credits there.

We woke up at 6:15 and left at 7:15 for AK! We had 8:15 ADR for Tusker House. Part opened for EMH at 8. We got there about 7:50, but they wouldn’t let anyone in the park until 8. Finally we got to

For our breakfast at:

DSCF5512.jpg

We were checked in fairly quickly, getting a photo with Donald first.
It was chilly waiting for Donald, they had these heaters going.

While I was up getting food Mickey came to the table.
DSCF5519.jpg

Right behind him was Daisy
DSCF5525.jpg

DSCF5528.jpg

DH and I both had coffee and jungle juice, the kids just had the juice. Everyone loved the juice!

DS with his sippy cup of juice.

I love this breakfast. It was very good. Now…the food!

Then Goofy came to the table
DSCF5554.jpg

I went up to the buffet to take pictures because DD wanted a donut with sprinkles.

For lunch we had Yak & Yeti, another first for us. Reservation was for 12:30, we checked in early, I think we checked in at 12:05.
DSCF5831.jpg

DSCF5832.jpg

DH got iced tea, I got a Diet Coke, and we got milk for both kids and we had to pay OOP for DS’s.
DSCF5833.jpg

DSCF5836.jpg

DS had green beans with chili sauce for an appetizer
DSCF5839.jpg

I had pork egg rolls
DSCF5840.jpg

DH had crispy honey chicken for an entrée
DSCF5842.jpg

I had bourbon chicken
DSCF5843.jpg

The kids shared a kid chicken strip meal
DSCF5841.jpg

DD got a sundae for dessert
DSCF5852.jpg

DH got cheesecake
DSCF5853.jpg

I got pineapple wontons
DSCF5854.jpg

The wontons weren’t as good as I had expected from what I had read on Disboards. Still good, though. The rest of the food was really good!

After lunch and the Maharajah Jungle Trek I saw the jalepeno cheese pretzel stand so we had to stop. I had to try one! I got that and a beer. I requested a bug light, but I think they gave me an African beer by mistake because it sure didn’t taste like bud light. It was good. The pretzel was super good! We should have gotten more than one. This will be a must-have-snack from now on!!
DSCF5985.jpg

DSCF5986.jpg

While DH waited in line with DS for Goofy and Pluto in Dinoland I got us an ice cream snack! We got 2 Mickey Bars and a Strawberry Bar. We ate the ice cream in line and then met Pluto and Goofy.

DSCF6010.jpg

DSCF6020.jpg

Not long after that we left AK and went back to our room to rest and get ready for our DTD night! We took the boat over for our reservation at Raglan Road. We had to wait what seemed like a long time for our ADR. They were very busy. I took pictures while we were waiting
DSCF6321.jpg

DSCF6323.jpg

DSCF6325.jpg

Finally we were seated in a small room off the main dining area (first time in 3 trips not in the main dining room super close to the stage) in the corner. DH got a beer to drink and I got a hard cider. My drink was really, really good and I am so glad the waitress recommended it. (I forgot to take pictures until it was almost gone, but I wanted to remember it!)
DSCF6343.jpg

We ordered the Dalkey Duo for a shared appetizer which was battered sausage links with mustard dipping sauce. It was really, really good!
DSCF6327.jpg

DS fell asleep at the table and did not eat anything.
DSCF6328.jpg

DSCF6330.jpg

DSCF6331.jpg

DH got the salmon of knowledge
DSCF6335.jpg

I got fish and chips
DSCF6336.jpg

We got macaroni and cheese for the kids to share. DD didn’t eat much either. We brought their leftovers back to the hotel, but never ate them.
DSCF6334.jpg

We kept hoping DS would wake up and eat, but he just slept, poor kid was tired!
DSCF6337.jpg

Pictures of dancing in our area of the dining room
DSCF6340.jpg

DSCF6341.jpg

DSCF6342.jpg

For dessert DH didn’t want anything. I got the bread pudding which was so unbelievably amazing!! We were discussing not going back to Raglan Road because our first experience was so wonderful we were disappointed this time…but after trying that dessert I know I have to go back and get it again!
DSCF6345.jpg

DD got ice cream with just strawberries on top. She ate about half of it.
DSCF6344.jpg

I wasn’t terribly happy with the way the server handled our receipt/dining plan either. She didn’t bring us a receipt showing how much everything cost. She just brought the receipts showing the dining plan was used and all zeros, plus the actual drinks we had to pay for. All that said, the food was good, but I think since it was a Saturday night and the weekend before St. Patrick’s Day (they were doing extra events and things this weekend and the following weekend) it was just too busy and wasn’t a great experience. I will still go back and I’ll recommend the place though.

We wanted to walk around and do some shopping, but with DD being tired and cranky and DS already sleeping we decided just to go back to the hotel and go back to DTD on our last day before going to the airport.
DSCF6346.jpg

Time changed this evening, also, so we had to jump forward and lose an hour of vacation time.

What didn't you like about raglan road this time? Other than sleepy kids, the food and entertainment looked great! We had the ddp and all receipts were just 0s. Wasn't the waitress.

All the other places gave us an itemized receipt showing what everyone ordered. We just got a receipt showing 3 meal credits used. I had no way to verify it was correct. Just a small hiccup, not a huge deal.

We didn't like the long wait to be seated and how crowded it was and we got spoiled by being in the main room so we were disappointed to be in a side room. Really though it's our own fault for scheduling it on a Saturday night close to St Patrick's Day. I didn't even realize I booked it on a Saturday until after I had figured all our plans. The food was great and we'll be back, just not on a weekend night!

We took a cab to Polynesian for breakfast at Kona Café. We had overslept and were running 30 minutes late, but had no problem being seated. The restaurant was mostly dead. The hotel lobby is so beautiful. I took several pictures on our way to the second floor where the restaurants are.

DSCF6373.jpg

I had macadamia nut pancakes
DSCF6377.jpg

DH had a ham and cheese omelet
DSCF6380.jpg

DD had the kid meal pancakes (she wanted to be in the picture)
DSCF6378.jpg

DSCF6381.jpg

DS had oatmeal
DSCF6376.jpg

The food was so very good! We will definitely try to come here again. Oh, and I loved the hidden Mickey in the carpet.
DSCF6382.jpg

We took the monorail to MK.

By noon or so we were getting hungry so we tried to get a walk up for The Plaza, but couldn’t without an hour plus wait. I made a dinner reservation for 4:15 instead.

Instead we just went to Casey’s Corner for lunch. Good decision! It was really good.

DH had a Chicago style hot dog meal and we got a hot dog meal for the kids to share.
DSCF6503.jpg

I had chili cheese nachos and DH’s dessert was a brownie
DSCF6505.jpg

DD and I each got cotton candy for dessert
DSCF6506.jpg

DS wolfed down his half of the hot dog so DH went up and bought another one OOP. DS ate most of that one, also.

Later in the day we headed over to new Fantasyland and we wanted to meet Gaston, but his line was closed. So instead we tried a LeFou brew. We thought it was really good!

We got to the Plaza right at 4:15, our ADR time. We were seated after waiting just a few minutes.

It’s really beautiful inside the restaurant.
DSCF6704.jpg

DSCF6705.jpg

DSCF6706.jpg

I got a cookies and cream shake

DSCF6707.jpg

DH and I each had a salad with ranch for our appetizers
DSCF6708.jpg

I had a tuna sandwich and fries for my meal.
DSCF6715.jpg

DD got a turkey sandwich and grapes
DSCF6716.jpg

For dessert DD got a dish of chocolate ice cream
DSCF6719.jpg

DD said she was really hungry, so we paid OOP for DS to get a grilled cheese sandwich, grapes and chocolate cookies. Good thing, too, because DD ate all her food!
DSCF6711.jpg

They really give you a lot of grapes with the kid meal
DSCF6712.jpg

DH got a chicken sandwich and fries and a brownie sundae.
DSCF6713.jpg

DSCF6718.jpg

It was all very good. I probably won’t get the tuna again though. It was OK, but there is lots of stuff on the menu I want to try. Oh, and it was funny because DD wanted the cherry off my shake and I told her no, but the waitress overheard and brought a little plate out with two cherries for DD. She was happy.

We stopped at Lunching Pad for a banana, cream cheese pretzel, regular Mickey pretzel, soda, milk, and chocolate milk. Then we went over to the hub area to find a spot for the parade and fireworks and ate our snacks.
DSCF6800.jpg

After the fireworks we headed back to the hotel. Not too much snacking today, but it was a great day at Magic Kingdom!

Our first stop today was Akershus! We went through the morning reservation line since the park didn’t open until 9. We got checked in at Akershus at 8:15 and our ADR was for 8:10.
DSCF6949.jpg

It was very good. I love their potatoes.

We did pictures with Belle in the lobby.

DSCF6972.jpg

DSCF6973.jpg

DSCF6975.jpg

I stopped at the Pineapple Promenade cart for a dole whip with spiced rum and a pineapple cake. The kids wanted some of the ice cream so DH went up and used a snack credit for a regular dole whip for the kids to share. The cake and spiced rum dole whip were both good.
DSCF7275.jpg

Then we stopped at the Cottage cart (I think in Canada) and used a snack credit for a potato, chive, and cheddar cheese biscuit with smoked salmon tartare and sour cream. It was really good. DH didn’t much like it, but I really did.
DSCF7301.jpg

DSCF7302.jpg

We stopped again at the Morocco cart and got a lamb kabob and harissa and lemon confit chicken. The lamb came with vegetable couscous salad and the chicken came with chermoula and cucumber salad. The meats were really good, but neither of us cared for the side dishes.
DSCF7335.jpg

We needed to get lunch for the kids so we went over to the American pavilion and I went to order at Liberty Inn. I got an 8 piece nugget with chocolate milk and regular milk.
DSCF7344.jpg

DD and I then went into Karmelle Kuche to get snacks. I got a small caramel corn and got milk chocolate dipped caramels for DD and DH.

This popcorn was so good. I am a caramel freak so it was perfect for me.
DSCF7370.jpg

DSCF7371.jpg

In France I finally got a Grand Marnier Slush! It was really good!
DSCF7433.jpg

I went over to Le Cellier and got there about 25 minutes after our 6:05 ADR. I asked them if it would be possible for us to still be seated and that the rest of my party would be there shortly. The person at the counter had to go ask and found out it was OK! DH thinks our anniversary buttons may have had something to do with that. I don’t know. I had to go change DS’s diaper and then went back to the waiting area. They called me after about 10 minutes! I was freaking out because I hadn’t heard anything from DH and didn’t know how much longer he would be. The hostess said they don’t normally seat people until the whole party was there, but I said I didn’t think they would be much longer and I knew what everyone wanted to eat. So she sat me and DS. I ordered a glass of wine (white moscato which was really good) and drinks for everyone else. I kept staring at my phone and the entrance and I wasn’t getting a signal at all on my phone. The waitress was super nice and when she filled my glass she said she was giving me a little extra wine to help me relax.
DSCF7531.jpg

I ordered our food and was still waiting. I was so nervous! I swear this was the most stressful part of our trip. The bread came and I was eating and feeding some to DS.
DSCF7532.jpg

Then the appetizers came! I took pictures and pretended everything was fine. They still weren’t there! FINALLY, after me sitting there for almost 30 minutes by myself, they arrived!!! I have never been so happy/relieved to see someone in my life! They sat down and DH said he really liked that ride and DD loved it, her favorite part was being over the water. He said he was trying to hurry and even ended up carrying DD pretty much the whole way from Soarin to Le Cellier. The waitress came by and said she was happy to see everyone had arrived. She said she had waited as long as possible to put in our entrees, but they would be done shortly.

Our appetizers

Cheese soup for DH
DSCF7533.jpg

Ceasar salad for me
DSCF7534.jpg

Salad for DD which she didn’t eat…she only eats Iceberg lettuce
DSCF7535.jpg

Entrees….pasta for DD and DS to share
DSCF7536.jpg

DS ate more than DD did! This was one of the first meals where he was back to eating normal. That was another relief for us.

DH and I got the same entrée: the filet, but substituted the potato pave instead of the risotto
DSCF7537.jpg

My camera battery died during the meal so I used DH’s phone for the last few pictures.

DH had the trio of chocolate for dessert
DSCF7537A.jpg

DD had the ice cream sundae
DSCF7537B.jpg

I had the maple crème brulee
DSCF7537D.jpg

Overall it was a good meal, but I don’t think this will necessarily be a must-do for us anymore. I am sad they got rid of the cream cheese mashed potatoes, those were so good. I tipped more than 20% since they were so great about seating us even though we were late and only half the party was there.

We're going to Disney World for our first time for our 10th anniversary. Thank you for the reviews. We will be going to many of the same restaurants and also using the Deluxe dining so this was wonderful information. Did you have any problems using the dining plan?

Nope. We've used the dining plan on each of our trips. We like it, but it's gotten so expensive we won't book it anymore without a good discount.

It was our anniversary and we were going to CRT. We were a little bit late to our ADR, only a few minutes, and we got checked in and went inside to meet Cinderella. It was sprinkling, but not that bad. However, I pulled out one of our ponchos to cover the stroller/backpack in case it started raining harder. We hardly had to wait to meet Cinderella. DD got pictures with her.
DSCF7554.jpg

DSCF7554A.jpg

Then we were seated. Our table was actually a table for 6 and it was kind of nice to have some extra space for a change. I sat on one side with DD while DS sat between us and DH sat opposite DD. He was taking pictures this meal.

They brought out a plate with some pastries: cinnamon rolls, biscuits with butter, some kind of bread (I don’t think anyone tried it), and 1 apple and 2 chocolate croissants.
DSCF7557.jpg

We also got a sword and wand.
DSCF7558.jpg

Both items are already broken thanks to my kids. LOL

We ordered and the waiter said DS would get complimentary French toast sticks.

I got the cream-cheese stuffed French toast
DSCF7559.jpg

DH got the traditional breakfast
DSCF7563.jpg

DD had French toast sticks, eggs, and bacon.
DSCF7560.jpg

We noticed they didn’t bring anything for DS so I asked. The waiter said normally the infant shares food, but he could bring us some more French toast sticks, so we said yes please.

First princess to come around was Ariel
DSCF7565.jpg

Then Jasmine
DSCF7569.jpg

Aurora
DSCF7576.jpg

Then they did a wishing ceremony. I love that DD didn’t even stop eating to wave her wand around.
DSCF7577.jpg

Finally Snow White came by
DSCF7585.jpg

DSCF7586.jpg

We stopped at Cosmic Ray’s for lunch. I wasn’t super hungry so I used a snack credit for chili cheese fries. We got a hot dog meal for the kids to share with milk and chocolate milk for the kids to drink. DH got a nugget meal with a soda and a chocolate cake.
