Congratulations Hawks fans! The Hawks played a hell of a series, and I'm glad the Flyers gave them the hee-b-jee-b's on several occcassions. If someone had told me half way thru the season that the FLyers would even be in the playoffs, I would have told them that they were nuts. The Flyers proved themselves Champions in heart and had an amazing Play-off run. The Flyers just couldn't keep up with the speed of the Hawk, but they sure did go down trying like champs. OT..Game 6..Coming back w/4 minutes left in the game.. That is some good Hockey!

Again..Congrats to the Hawks..Enjoy that parade.. I am way jealous!

Flyers--You should go to Disney World too... you deserve it (and I'd love to see you there when I go. I'll still proudly be sporting my Orange and Black.

Also I have to say, Philly you played a hell of a series. The Flyers were a better team than I thought. I think they were our toughest opponent in the playoffs. Kind of a surreal ending to the game.

ITA with what I bolded. That may have been the oddest OT-ending, Stanley Cup-ending goal I've ever seen. It seemed that Kane was the only one who knew it went in. The camera guy was confused, the Flyers were confused, and the Hawks didn't catch on until Kane was jumping across center ice all by himself.

Strange indeed. But, at least this is over so I can devote 100% to the World Cup now.

As sad as I am that my favorite team has lost, it was a great series. Congrats to the Blackhawks and their fans!

I think it makes it THAT much harder to lose knowing you played your heart out and were SO close

Hawks played a better series.. Just because you want it more, or play your heart out, doesn't make you a better team. I love my Flyers, but the Hawks showed us up in most of the periods of the series. The Flyers had a bad first two periods in this last game..honestly, didn't deserve to win the game. Would I liked them to have won it anyway.. HECK YEAH..

It is hard.. but win or lose.. I still had to come to work today.. now the day that would have been the parade ..that is another story..

My oldest son said the same thing last night. My dad waited 82 years before he passed away, DH and I have both been waiting over 50 years and oldest son is 24. I don't see it happening...but stranger things have happened. We will always be Cubs fans (never the south side fans) and root on our team.

But now is not about the Cubs, but about the Mighty Blackhawks.

The Hawks will most likely win next year as well. They need to trade a few players to deal some of their cap issues but their goalie will be retained. Also our top 4 players, Kane, Toews, Hossa, and Keith, are signed for a longggggg time!!

It was a FANTASTIC series...just wish it could have been 7 games and Flyers would be hoisting the cup!

You BOTH deserved to be there but unfortunately only one team can win.

Sad part is.....it's 4 loooong months until hockey season again...uggh!

Not True.. We made it into June.. When is the last time we (Flyers) played in June? Can't count this month. In addition, spring-training starts in September. You can always go to the Flyers Skate Zone in Voorhees NJ and try and catch them practicing. The way I look at it.. we only have 2 1/2 months to go.. and then Game On! <--not quite rose colored..but you get my drift.

Yes- I guess you are right 2.5 months till we get more hockey! I wonder what kind of changes we might see with players, coach etc.

I used to go watch the guys practice all the time at the Skate Zone. I would go during lunch. Nice way to spend the hour!

I do miss the Coliseum days when the guys would gladly stop and sign autographs etc. I got players like LeClair, Lindros, Brind'Amour, Recchi, Keith Jones, Desjardins to sign some of my Jerseys

Congratulations to both teams! A well fought series! I am so happy for the Blackhawks. It was a surreal moment for everyone but Kane. Almost like it happened in slow motion. But totally worth it. Now that both our hockey teams have won their "respectful" cups (FW Komets and Blackhawks) as my husband said "we're going to Disney World".

SWEET SWEET VICTORY!!!!!! I have been on could nine since the Win. I (like most people) didn't even realize Kaners goal went in, i was texting my friend then when OT started i said I'd text her after the game, i needed to concentrate haha!

My dad came running down the stairs screaming so then i knew! went outside blasting chelsea dagger screaming our heads off, ringing cow bells and blow horns.

I balled my eyes out like a baby, My 18th birthday is tomorrow and MY CHICAGO HAWKS have given me the best present EVER!!!! I'm so pumped for the parade! Im taking a 6:10 train, i want a spot, a good one,i dont care how long im waiting.

I have to say congrats to all you Philly fans and the Flyers, What a h e double hockey sticks of a season, you should be very proud.

2 MILLION PEOPLE at the parade. 2 MILLION!!! im proud to say i was one of them. The parade and rally were amazing, i got all teary eyed. You could tell the players really appreciated everyone coming out.

I hope we have a dynasty on our hands, CAUSE I WANT ANOTHER PARADE!!

I stayed home. It was unreal on tv. I taped it. I still cant believe it. When you are at the BC / YC club in August...when you see a guy walking around all decked out in Blackhawks stuff ...ITS ME. Say Hi !!!
