I can't answer your question but I will share a funny story.
Many years ago my girlfriend (now my wife) and I took a train from Madrid down to Algreciras on the southern coast of Spain. We then took a ferry across the Stait or Gibraltar to Tanger, Morocco where we boarded the Marrakesh Express train to head to Casablanca and Marrakesh. We did not speak a word of Arabic. We bought our tickets and got on the train. The train was very 3rd world!! Very hard wooden benches, no heat (it was in Dec and we were freezing!) and the lights were on a direct drive from the generator so were on when we moved and went off when we stopped - just the opposite of what you need. The train smelled too. The only other person in our car was a drunk Moroccan who was singing like drunks will do, in Arabic!
After we got moving, the conductor came by to collect our tickets. He took our tickets and said something in Arabic. We had no idea what he was saying. He kept repeating it and pointing to the front of the train. We had no clue what he wanted us to do. Finally, he gave up and left us. We spent the rest of the night on these hard wooden benches freezing and listening to this drunk man sing!
In the morning we arrived in Marrakesh and got off the train. I walked toward the front of the train and noticed the cars ahead of us were very nice and had train seats liked you'd see on an train in Europe. So I found someone that spoke English and asked about those cars. I was told those were 2nd class cars...we were riding in a 3rd class car! Turns out, that is what the conductor was trying to tell us. If we understood Arabic, I'm sure he was saying "Hey you idiots, why are riding back here in 3rd class? You have tickets for 2nd class seats!"
Needless to say, on the return trip we rode in 2nd class.
