As was mentioned, bc standard rooms do.

That raises a question and someone please correct me if I'm wrong. Don't all WDW deluxe rooms have a small fridge? Any exceptions?

All Disney Deluxe and Moderate rooms have refridgerators.

No advice on what to request in terms of location for a one bedroom villa at BCV? Does location matter?

Thanks!

I just called the resort this evening because we may need to use the business center to sign documents that can't wait until we get back. They told me it is open from 7:00am to 7:00pm. If you use their computers, it is $6.00 for 10 mins, $9.00 for 20 mins, and $20.00 for an hour. I didn't ask what the fee was to just use the internet because we aren't planning on bringing our lap top. The price for faxes was $5.00 for the 1st page and $3.00 for each page after that. To receive a fax, it is $1.00 per page.

Hope you have a great time! :goodvibes

Thanks so much for the info!

Some people request pool view which is pretty. Others request Epcot side. Many but not all rooms on that side enjoy a partial view of the upper effects of Illuminations. A road runs close to BCV at that point which bothers some people although not my family as we enjoy the trees or woodsy area on that side.

Some ask for close to the lobby or close to an elevator. We find no room too far from one of the elevators and have enjoyed views on every side. The only thing I personally don't care for is first floor. Others love it. :goodvibes

This probably isn't much help, is it? We've really enjoyed every location we've had other than the first floor....but that's us.

Have a great time at BCV.:cool1:

Does anyone have a list of items available through room service? Are there any specialty items for the YC?

It is helpful! It tells me that I'll probably be happy no matter what I get! Thank you!!!

Does the Yacht club rooms have the Ihome that the GF have? It would be useful for my ipod. Also can you order food from the Yachtmans steakhouse as room service? I believe in the other hotels (only tried in GF)you can order from the restaraunts as room service.

We are just back from a one night stay at the Yacht Club. We moved due to problems at another resort. The Yacht Club is one of the best resorts I have ever stayed at. (12 stays) I have certainly stayed in more beautiful settings but the service and attention to detail here is just wonderful. Over the course of our stays sure we have encountered problems but the thing about the Yacht Club is their willingness to correct anything that is not quite right. The staff goes above and beyond what most guests expect. The location is wonderful and the management here always seems available and approachable.

Has anyone seen the Disney Dooney and Bourke handbags at the BC and YC shops? Just wondering where they are and what kind of selection is there. Also, did you see lots of ladies using them on your WDW trip? I saw pics on another thread and think they are really cute!

Does anyone know about the construction going on here? Just wondering when the plans are for it to be done. I can't wait to stay at the Yacht Club!!! :cool1:

Santa brought me the large white one for Christmas. I absolutely love them. We can't keep them in. We have them at the Yacht Club store but they are selling fast. I talked to one of the merchandise managers yesterday and she said they can't keep them in stock anywhere.

You can also buy them at the Grand Floridian, World of Disney, the store that previously was Summer Sands, and the watch store on Main Street in Magic Kingdom. However, they are usually sold out. In December, my friend and I were walking by the store on Main Street and saw women yelling and screaming and running into the store. Apparently a new stock of them came in and they were unloading them. People were going crazy grabbing at them.

I personally am not fond of the black one. The managers told me other colors/styles were coming soon.

MuppetFan3 - What construction are you referring to? TeenaS and others have often said in previous pages of this thread that the room renovations have been completed. Did you see something? Just curious. Thanks

Hi!

We have added 2 nights waterview room at YC to our upcoming holiday. Am so excited as it is my dream resort, and it is a 10th anniversary treat!!! :lovestruc

The question is, how do I make room request? :confused3 I only have one and that is a Boardwalk view.

Do I fax, email or phone the resort?

Thank you :thumbsup2

Post #1 - Everyone is making the CL sound so good. Does anyone know if someone using DVC reservation points for a SV at YC can pay cash at check-in for an upgrade to CL? (If available of course) We've been able to upgrade at port with cash on DCL. But I wasn't sure about the WDW resorts.

Reply - No you can't. Point stays and cash stays are two different systems they can not connect so upgrades are impossible. From what I know of that is, maybe someone will confirm.

That's too bad. It would have been great for our DGD Princess trip we are taking her on in May. I wonder why you can upgrade with cash with DCL at port (not ahead of time of course), but you can't do the same with cash during check-in at WDW resorts. I can understand them not allowing it at DVC resorts, but am surprised they don't allow it at the regular resorts.

I am sure this has been hashed out in this thread somewhere and I have read most of it, been subscribed to it since the beginning even, but if you wouldn't mind humoring me if you have some knowledge ...

Standard view BC CL vs. Standard view YC CL?

I think we've decided to do one of them at the tail end of the next trip we are planning, just for 3 nights with an emphasis on sticking around the resort and enjoying my boys' favorite pool in the world.

Are the food offerings the same at both lounges? Are the alcoholic offerings the same as well? Are the lounges the same size? I've heard that BC's lounge is really small for the number of people they are expected to accommodate - is YC similarly under-sized?

Here is the biggest piece of it for us: a balcony and nice view is important to us. Water view CL (at YC only, I think BC water view rooms only allow 4?) is out of our budget. I understand that the chances of getting a full balcony at BC on the 5th floor are much higher than standard view on the other floors so that is great. But, of BC and YC, does one have a higher percentage of real "garden" view CL rooms? By that, I mean trees, courtyard or ANYTHING other than roofs/parking lot.

Considering deluxe room CL at BC too because that would give us a view we'd be thrilled with, but that also cuts our chances of a full balcony down to about 50%, correct?

Thanks for any thoughts.

Y&B club lounges have the exact same offerings. We are the same resort. Same cast members, same managers. The sizes are pretty much the same since the BC was enlarged.

What is more important for you, full balcony or view? Personally I'd go with the deluxe room at the BC but you are correct that you could get a patio or a standing balcony. But the views are nice in those rooms. If you are going for a full balcony and that is the most important thing for you, I'd go with the YC. However, the "garden" views on club level on both sides are really "standard" views and in my opinion (and remember, this is must my opinion), both have fifty percent pretty ugly standard views and you have an equal chance at both the YC and BC to get those ugly views. At the BC standard view club levels, about 95% of them have full balconies so you would most likely get a full balcony there too.

There is absolutely no way you can guarantee to get a nice view and a full balcony at either resort by booking a standard view or deluxe view club level. The only way you can guarantee a full balcony and a nice view is to book the water view club level at the Yacht Club.

If it were me, hands down, absolutely with no hesitation, I'd go with the deluxe room at the Beach Club but that's me - that way I would be guaranteed a larger room and a nice view. I'm sure you can ask the next five people on this thread and they will most likely pick something different.

During a recent stay at the Yacht Club we had a garden view. Our balcony faced the gazebo which is lovely. We saw weddings and enjoyed the fact that the room was close to the lounge and a short hallway that only guests with rooms in that area go down so there isn't much noise. You can actually see the lake from the balcony in this area.
