Is the ENTIRE area of SAB a sand-bottomed pool or are there areas with traditional concrete? My DD hates sand.:confused3

It's all sand in SAB. The area with the smaller kids slide (at the base of the entrance to the big slide) does not have a sand bottom. How old is your DD?

When I stayed at the GF I was able to get a meal from Citricoes as room service if you stay at the Yacht club can you do the same at Yachtman steakhouse and the other restaurant Captains grill?

Ok we are booked in standard for August, our first BC stay. To those that have stayed standard did you wish you had chose a waterview? I am fine with standard my dh just mentioned today about upgrading.:surfweb: We are staying 7 nights so if I recall it's close to $700:confused3 What do you all think, worth it?

TIApopcorn::

We always request standard rooms in the 1500 area (ground floor), It's about 10 steps from the quiet pool and is a VERY short walk to EPCOT.:thumbsup2

E.Q. - Be Cautious Here! I've heard it that Y&BC's rule is that if there is any part of a pool or garden visible, then the room is a garden view. Any visible part of the lake or SAB gets lagoon view. Since you can't reserve specific rooms, you may be paying $700 because you can see a sidelong puddle. Which is fine if you are into that...

In August heat with SAB near and Epcot in the evenings, you have to ask yourself: Are really going to be in the room that much?

BTW: We were just there. We were put in a standard interior corner room. It was HUGE! Felt more like a suite.

for garden view at the BC that is our favorite location as well - the building closest to Epcot & we've even asked to "face" Epcot which gives a nice secluded woodsy view & if you're on the ground floor the kids can even play right outside the patio doors.

That sounds like a nice room, we will stay with standard.:wizard:

We are driving back now from a wonderful week at bc! This was our first stay at the beach club and we will most definately be back! We have stayed in a number of other resorts, but for us the staff at the bc far exceeded our experience with other Disney resort staff.
We had a deluxe cl room. At first I was deflated to learn our room was 3557 one of the deluxes without a balcony. The room was perfect! The mornings and evenings were chilly so I would not have spent too much time on the balcony anyway. The room was so wonderfully bright with 4 large windows(2 were walk out balconies). The room was large, comfortable and very convenient to epcot!

The club lounge, while small, was more than adequate. Perhaps many people took food to their rooms but we never had to wait but a few minutes for a table.

Please let me know if anyone has any questions (sorry for misspellings - on
my iPhone !)

Beach Club is my favorite resort...the staff at the BC are awesome!

We will be back this July!:yay:

If you have any pictures of this room, I would love to see them.

Don't you just love the deluxe CL rooms at BC? We had one last summer, for two weeks! At first I too was disappointed, we really wanted 2557 or 3691 and we ended up with 1557. We ended up LOVING that rooms - steps away from the quiet pool and what felt like 1 minute to the IG! Also it seemed more "private" than a lot of rooms.

Glad you had a great time - can't wait to get back in July! This time we're just doing a regular room, although I'm pretty sure I'm going to upgrade to waterview. We're doing Deluxe Dining this time instead of CL. It was less expensive and this is our year to buy 5 APs (we buy them every other year and get a lot of use out of them)!

Hi all! I just wanted to say a quick "Hello" to Teena! We met at the BC a few weeks ago, when my family was staying at the villas! Thanks Teena for pin trading with my kids, they had a ball with that! You were so very friendly and I liked our little chat!

By the way, I asked you about a test and you sent me to the little store at the BC. Although they did not have it, they pointed me toward Turner Drug who promptly delivered it to the resort! Thanks for pointing me in the right direction! By the way, I was right!!! Thanks for helping me to put my mind at ease!

Take care!!!

We are staying CL at BC this weekend. Are all the CL rooms on the same floor? (5th maybe?) Are all the CL rooms in the wing nearest Epcot? (hope so).

Edited to add: We have Garden View CL

We will be arriving Sunday!

I have to do some classwork while there. I read there is a business center with computers. Is this true? How much does it cost to use them and for internet access? Do they have limited hours or can I use them at midnight for example?

Thank you!

All the gv and lv CL rooms are on the 5th floor. It's only the suites and deluxe rooms which are CL too that are spread out. The rooms are spread out all across the 5th floor. We had a really nice gv CL room that looked out on the courtyard by the sand volleyball area.

There is a business center over on the YC side of the resort. Some years ago our eldest son needed computer access for something and at that time, hours were limited. I've read that the business center at the Swolphin is open 24/7 but no personal experience there.

:goodvibesWe had 4691 and it was great! we had 4 windows (2 had step out balcony) and more room than we could need -even for 7 nights and 5 people! We had a card access to the 5th floor Club lounge.. which was great but we didnt use it that much since we were at the parks a lot and we were on the DDP. If I had known we would get the free upgrade we would have skipped the DDP!!! :goodvibes
