If a full balcony is very important to you I would suggest switching to the YC. Almost all the rooms at YC (standard and waterview) have full balconies or patios. If you definitely want BC you might want to consider requesting the 1st floor to be sure of a full patio. HTH.

:goodvibes Thank you. We do want to stay at BC. We have stayed at YC and as this is our third trip to WDW we like to try different resorts and have always wanted to try BC. Just thought there may be more balconies in a certain room category, but maybe not.

Two weeks till we are at BC CL. I too would like a balcony and am now thinking I should check about switching to YC. We have been YC CL once and thought we would try BC. We stayed once at the Dolphin and the view of Epcot Illuminations from the balcony was awesome. I am afraid I am going to be disappointed at BC. It's just DH and me this time.

I'm pretty sure (but check with our resident expert Teena) that all the BC CL rooms have balconies. We love BC CL and I don't think you'll be disappointed at all!

Hello :goodvibes

I am very excited to be trying the BC resort for the very first time with my son (14 yo) this summer. We are usually AKL lovers, but wanted to try something new this trip, and BC has always been very appealing to me! I am having a dilema. I am trying to decide whether or not I should add club level to our reservation this trip. Both of my prior trips at AKL have been club level, and I admit I have become spoiled by the wonderful ammenities :cloud9:
I am a club girl at heart! I thought about doing Deluxe Dining in place of club level this trip, and that is where the current reservation is leaning (planned on adding it on if free dining was offered). The difference btwn Club and Deluxe dining is $400.00...Club level is the higher amt. My son is ok with either or. Does anyone have any recommendations? I could use some advice from those who have experienced either or both...and all opinions will be very much appreciated! Hopefully I can think this through on all angles and make the best choice!
Thank you,
Marie :flower3:
ETA: If I do club level, it will only be with regular DDP :)

I know what you mean I keep going back and forth. We've done BC CL twice and YC CL once and we loved them. In fact last year we had an incredible BC Deluxe CL room. When we did CL we always just did the regular DDP. This summer we decided to switch to a regular room with Deluxe Dining because the time we are going the regular dining plan has the surcharge. We figured we would spend less with the deluxe plan and regular room.

Sorry I can't be more help - I keep going back and forth in my mind too wondering whether I'll miss CL!

Thanks for the info - DH just loves the yogurt parfaits!

Sorry you had such unseasonable weather - hope you had a great time in spite of it!

I love those parfaits, too, Robyn.

Thanks, we had a great time despite the colder than usual weather. We've gone fairly often in January since our kids started college and are used to an occasional day or two of cold weather. I think this was the first trip that every single day was cool/cold. Had a blast anyway!:cool1:

We've gone in January three times (DH was running the marathon) - one time was freezing, kids in gloves and ear muffs. One time was lovely, just like Spring. The last time we went in 2008 it was hot! We had shorts on the whole time and the kids were swimming.

February can be iffy too. My girls are baton twirlers and participate in Twirlmania. One year was freezing and last year it was in the 80's.

One thing I've learned is you can never predict the weather so just make the best of it and have a good time. Glad you had a great vacation in spite of it all!

Hi everyone, we just reserved a 1 br villa at the Beach Club! After our first BC stay in Dec '09, we just had to return. Also Teena, since we missed you last time we definitely had to return to see you this time around. So off to the count down 3 months away and it feels like forever already.

Is Stormalong Bay the only pool at the Beach Club that you can have adult drinks at?

Looking to stay for two nights concierge level at the Yacht Club (were getting married at the Yacht Club Gazebo!:lovestruc) in December :goodvibes

Does anyone have any photos of the concierge lounge - I cant seem to fidn any online , and does DCL pick you up for ground transfers from the Yacht Club or do you have to go across to the Beach Club?

You can have adult drinks at any of the pools. But the only pool where they sell drinks is SAB. If you are bringing your own drinks, do remember that they do not allow glass around the pool or on any of the pool decks.

I can't answer your questions, but just wanted to say congratulations! That's exciting!

I think we'll be there around the same time although we're at BC.

Cool! Look out for us ummm not surprisingly I will be wearing a long white dress haha! Were spending 5 nights at the Dolphin beforehand with our family :thumbsup2

Just booked at the beach club:cool1:. I read that Beaches and Cream was serving breakfast in the fall, but it might have been just temporary. Can anyone tell me whether or not they are still serving breakfast...I sure hope so.

I had read somewhere on this thread they did stop the breakfast thing.

So you can bring your own drinks to the quiet pool from your condo? Do any of the indoor bars allow you to carry drinks out to the pool? Sorry for the lame questions, but where I live we can walk around with alcohol anywhere, whereas I know things are a bit more strict in the U.S. At home we could have any alcoholic drink poured into a disposable plastic cup, or into our own container from our condo, and could take it anywhere we wanted, including in the car!

Ok, I need your advice again please.....

We arrive at the BC this Saturday evening (10pm ish). We have a one night room only reservation and than a 7day package reservation. I called BC yesterday to have them note on the reservations that we would like to stay in the same room all 8 nights (central WDW reservations said not guaranteed, so I figured I'd call), and again requested a "full balcony" (DH would really enjoy as this while myself and our 3 DD's get ready in the room). She said she noted it. I asked if I should do "online checkin," and she said I could just check in when we get there.

Also, our ME paperwork states Sunday arrival. I called WDW reservations and confirmed they have us for Saturday with the correct flight number. She said to cross off the 17th and write in the 16th.

Is there anything else I can do to be sure this all goes smoothly? I may be worrying needlessly - last minute panic?:confused3

Oh, I've also confimed with gardengrocer.com. Now we just need to start packing after work (how hard can that be):lmao:

This is correct. Sorry everybody. I'm still out in Vegas with my daughter but did manage to get on the computer. I'll be home Saturday night.
