TheresaNY, Teena answered this not long after you asked...

 Thanks you SO MUCH for pointing that out for me! It is embarrassing to say that I even reread all the posts BEFORE I just posted this again and I did not see it ! :crazy2: My husband just had emergency procedure to repair his torn retina...guess I am out of it more than I thought! But sincerely, thank you again! Also thanks to Teena for the reply!!

Hello everybody! Just introducing myself. I am Stephanie, and I am planning a trip for the end of August with my husband and our 2 boys(11 and 7). This will be our first stay at the BC and we are very excited. I have read though most of this thread and love the fact that we have our own BC cast member!! So awesome!:banana::banana:

Teena, do you have enough general Mousekeeping knowledge to refute this? My mental health depends on it. LOL This is a quote from the WL tripadvisor thread.

i can tell you about the rooms being made up. we had a bedbug scare in october at asmovies- wasnt- thank god! however one of the dudes who insepcted the room for us, did tell us linens are swapped out every 4 days. regardless of a newbie in a room or not. so say you check in on day three...yep youre getting someone elses bedding. ick!!!!

Thanks!

ETA: Sorry for the overkill - there is now a general thread quoting that person too.

So jealous! Have a great trip!!!

Amanda

BCV23 - Have a wonderful trip - can't wait for a full report!

Have a great trip BCV23! :goodvibes

Thanks, ladies. I can't wait. An added bonus is that we're getting out ahead of a snowstorm!:cool1:

Love your name. :goodvibes Welcome aboard! :boat: Your boys will love SAB.

I guess I don't want to be on the 5th floor because we can't have a walk out area on the upper floors. I wish I could get club level & have 1st floor (Deluxe all sold out daty we are there). What is so special about rm 1606?
What does it look out to? Is it close to lobby? Where is it located?

Thanks do much for all the time you spend making sure our vacations are PERFECT!!! :)

Robin

Well, they have one bedroom suites (sleeps 3 - king and a daybed) and two bedroom suites (sleeps 7 - two queens, one king and a daybed) on the first floor ... they give you club level access and amenities. With the deluxe room and these suites I just described, there is no guarantee you would get the first floor but you can certainly request the first floor.

1606 is a quiet room, not much foot traffic past the room and it's a huge room - much larger than the normal rooms! So is 2606, 3606 and 4606. The rooms face the little courtyard between the BC and the BCV. It's not too far from the lobby/elevators. You can see where it is by going to http://www.disneyzone.net/bcresort.htm but don't take any information on that page to heart ... most of it is wrong ... it's very old.

Honestly, all of the first floor standard view rooms have decent views ... no roofs or parking lots ... pathways, gardens, courtyards and trees mostly.

Does anyone know the answer ?

There aren't many of that combination unfortunately. I assume both rooms are on the same reservation which will allow the room assignor to see that the children are in the second room and thus will give you connecting rooms. I would add the request "full balcony & close to lobby" to your reservation. You will definitely get a full balcony if you were at the YC so if you change to the YC, you could just make your request "close to lobby".

As far as getting two connecting rooms with one being a king ... it's a long shot at both the BC and YC. There just aren't many of those combinations.

The bed sheets are stripped when a guest checks out and a new guest checks in ... even if the guest had new sheets the night before - you definitely are suppose to get new sheets. And you can request new sheets every day while you are there if you want. A housekeeping manager told me this. I did find out (and I did not know this) that the bedspreads are not changed with every new guest. I subsequently asked a housekeeping manager in Vegas at four different high end resorts ... I wanted to see if Disney was different than the rest of the industry ... and none of those resorts changed the bedspreads every time a new guest checks into a room. They, like Disney, change them on a schedule which I can't remember what it is ... something like every few weeks. However, if that bothers you (I just throw the bedspread on the floor and don't use it when I sleep), you can call housekeeping (call on the phone from your room - do not speak to your own housekeeper) on the day you arrive and ask for a new bedspread.

Hope this helps.

Gosh, I hope I'll be there to meet you and the boys ... they are adorable!!! I usually spend two weeks with my daughter in the middle of August cleaning her classroom and getting ready for the new kids. She teaches at a 12 month school and only has a week in between the old kids leaving and the new ones arriving and she counts on me to help. Not sure of the dates yet so maybe I'll be there towards the end of your visit. In the meantime, if you have any questions, feel free to ask. We have disers here that know the resort every bit as much as I do so someone will have your answer!!

I thought I had seen this asked before, but couldn't find it on this thread. I'm still stressing out over daybeds. :upsidedow

How many of the CL rooms at BC have daybeds? I am looking for the 2 bed + daybed combo when we stay there. I did send in a request to IPO but just got a generic response. We are booked in a LV CL room at BC.

Are there more of the rooms with daybeds at YC or do they have the same amount of rooms with the same type of configuration?

Thanks!
Karen :flower3:

Another OT: HockeyMomR, I thought I sent the shamrock wreath to you but after I saw you post realized I sent it to the wrong hockey mom.:rotfl: If you want it, let me know.

Off to BCV tomorrow. See you real soon, Teena!

Thank you for thinking or me, would love the shamrock wreath - with sons named Sean and Connor....

Have a great trip! Safe travels

Rebecca

Here is a question, probably been asked a million times before so I apologise in advance but Yacht Club vs Beach Club? I've stayed at the BC before and it was magical, went to see my travel agent yesterday and I've now planned the most ridiculous trip for this August/September which ends at WDW. Initially I had thought we'd stay at the Dolphin but then the Yacht and Beach was brought up. If I've stayed at BC before should I be 'adventurous' and go to YC or stick with what I know?

Thank you! :thumbsup2 I was selling girl scout cookies at a booth sale all day , so I hadn't read through it all.

I can't wait to see the new rooms. We haven't stayed at YC since 2008, but the kids remember the pool! I sure hope it's warm enough to swim when we are there.

I can't wait to stay in one of the new rooms (at BC) either. All the Epcot resorts' new rooms look gorgeous I think :cloud9:

Hope your DH is doing ok :flower3:

Hey. I'm new here too and can't WAIT to stay at BC this summer :yay: I've stayed there before but not in some time... Stormalong Bay is the BEST :wizard: Your boys are going to love the BC!

I know you were debating among several resorts. Aren't you excited about BC? I've switched over to BC LV CL too, kaffinito!!

Our lovely friend BCV23 is on her way. Have a wonderful time.

That's always tough. I've stayed at every Deluxe but the YC and although I would like to try it some day, I just booked BC in part b/c of its new CL lounge princess: I also like the sunny, festive vibe there. I think YC would be great for an adult trip if you're looking for more peace and quiet... Good luck with your decision :)

Well sort of. :upsidedow I'm still stressing over the daybed issue at BC, and still waffling between BC and going back to BWI. (I keep dreaming about it!)

I am looking forward to trying SAB and being so close to EPCOT again, and very excited to see the new made over rooms. :goodvibes

Have you stayed at BC before? :)

Yes, we've stayed twice at BC around 2005/2006 in water view rooms. Liked it a lot but was really an MK resort person and a HUGE AKL lover and haven't been back. I'm VERY excited, though, about trying BC CL :cool1:

Are you a party of 5? Would they actually put a party of 5 in a room w/ only 2 queen beds? BWI CL is fab, isn't it? But I'm excited about the atmosphere at BC - colorful, happy :cheer2: and I remember the CMs being really friendly :grouphug: My DD is so excited about being back at SAB :dance3: Just make an extra request w/ IPO for a daybed and go for it! party:

Is there a day bed in the YC CL garden view rooms? We will be there in May and it would be great if there was so my kids don't fight both being in one bed.

I would like to see a pic of the daybed at the Beach Club or Yacht Club. Could someone post a pic please?
