I'm sad they're taking away the Maliboomer! I really enjoy that ride! Especially because there is NEVER EVER a line longer than 5 minutes! Even when it's busy!!

Okay, so I think POD is still coming back AFTER the Christmas Parade is gone, right?? Disneyauditions.com has posted auditions for it on December 7th. So is it just going to be here until Christmas time 2009? And then for the 55th they're going to have a new parade and move POD to WDW?? I know the Celebration promo parade they're going to have isn't going to be a real "parade", more like the HSM thing they have at DCA. Is my info right?

Golden Dreams, the lack-luster film shown at Disney’s California Adventure park, in Anaheim, California, died Sunday, September 7, of causes due to age. Shown at the park since its opening in 2001, the film pimped the glories of the golden state of California and its rich and varied history. Califia, the Amazon warrior, was portrayed in the film by actress Whoopi Goldberg. A veteran of over 50,000 showings, Golden Dreams enjoyed candlelight dinners, long walks on the beach, and Arnold Schwarzenegger movies. Its motto was “anything can be done with just one dream”. Golden Dreams is survived by the 26 people who ventured into the theater over the past 7 years, mostly to escape the summer heat. It was preceded in death by its life partner, Seasons of the Vine, which passed away March 30, 2008. No memorial service will be held. Golden Dreams goes to its silent, cold tomb; unmourned, unloved, and unremembered. Interment, Yesterland Cemetery and Mausoleum.

Haha... Classic :P.

I gotta admit, I never stepped foot in that attraction, and I was never compelled to do so. R.I.P. Whoopi.

Also... I could be wrong, but in some mock-up drawings of the DCA facelift, there was a possibility that they might have a bigger, more "adult-oriented" Jumpin' Jellyfish taking place of the Maliboomer. Am I right in saying this?

Unless things change that is what it looked like to me too, that would allow them to make use of the towers already in place. I hope it is just another ride to get rethemed. I will miss the maliboomer. :sad1:

I never saw Golden Dreams either. Meh. I heard it was nice though.

You need to add Burger Invasion on that list. BLEH! Goodbye!!!

At The Blue Sky Cellar, the CM's are saying that Maliboomer is not going away, but rethemed. At least, that's what they were saying in mid-October.

I saw pictures of Blue Sky Cellar and it says that they were going to tear it down and rebuild in that spot as some parachute-y ride. Like Jumpin' Jellyfish but more 'extreme'. Same concept I guess, but different ride. I also read it's going to be one of the last things to go on Paradise Pier.

See, my issue with Maliboomer isn't the ride itself, it's simply how HIGH the ride goes. I have a major fear of heights, you should have seen me when I rode the Sun Wheel, even in the stationary cars I was FREAKED out.....I had my fingers threaded thru the grates and my hands were white because I was holding on so hard. I did it because the kids wanted too and I did it twice........I won't do it again. LOL

As for Golden Dreams, I saw it....once, it wasn't that bad but it wasn't great. The kids really liked it, they learned a few neat things but they promptly forgot them. LOL

Yippie! If thats true... ive heard the CMs say about three different stories now.

1. Malibommer Retheme.
2. The New Parachute Ride or Just To Pave It Over
3. It hasnt Been decided yet.

I wonder whats the truth. :confused3  :headache:

DB *loved* Golden Dreams - he's very sad we missed the last showing and they never announced it. (It was in Sept.)

He's so annoyed that they're replacing it with something I've been looking forward to for years - the Little Mermaid dark ride! :rotfl:

I am, however, disappointed they're not replacing Mulholland Madness completely :rolleyes1

You and I both know she had no idea what she was talking about! :rotfl:

She was probably too busy looking at your boyfriend's butt. :rolleyes1
