Did anybody know what song that guy was singing - the blonde guy who looked like he was singing to Paula?
I believe he said it was "A Song For You" by the Temptations (although Goatboy sang it on the show).
Best of the night: David Cook. Needs a new do but singing Living On a Prayer the way he did made his looks unimportant.
My wife and I both rolled our eyes when he said he was singing Bon Jovi...and by the end of it, I actually rewound the DVR just to listen to it again. I was completely blown away by that guy, and he's probably the best I've seen so far this season. Has a Daughtry vibe, but without the arrogance.

Yawner of the night: The girl, Angelina, who wanted to please her Dad and went on and on and on and on....... YAWN!!

That story did nothing for me, either. In fact, by the end of that little speech I was saying "enough already, who doesn't have family problems?":rolleyes1

It reminded me of the girl whose Dad didn't want her to be there last year and how she cried on the phone with him when she got through. Booooring...

I looked at the finalists (predicted) on the other site and thought YUCK! None of them I remember or know anything about except Mike Lee Johns... my current fave!

What happened to the cutesie pie farmer guy with the Randy Travis voice? Heck, he could've MADE ME a country fan!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OHI-JPwn1ZY&feature=related

Ok, I have a bone to pick with AI (lol, who doesn't?), but anyway...

I know that a lot of the fun in the audition/city shows are the craptastic auditionees :happytv: , BUT would it have hurt AI to at least show the people who actually made it to the next level (instead of all those rejects)?!? SHEESH. I hated it last night when Seacrest was saying how many people got through to Hollywood and I swear I had barely heard any of them.

agnes!

i liked the two friends who sang together, Corliss and...Betty? I don't remember their names...I loved that the first girl sang Take 5 though, that was really cool.

I really didn't think the guy with the heavy accent was a very good singer - i thought his voice sounded strained.

I liked the young girl who was a single mom - can't remember her name though. I need to start taking notes!

I could tell from the first moment I saw her speak that the girl in the yellow and pink dress was a snot. She's the one that had been on American Juniors. When they showed her audition, then they showed a clip of her on the other show, I was like . She sang WAY better as a 12yo! I guess she got an ego since then and now thinks the world of herself, and that's where she went wrong. :sad2:

Like Philadisney, I really liked the two girls that sang together! :)

Did you see the 16 yo girl shove her moms (or whoever) hand away when she tried to console her? What a brat!

I was a bit concerned when the show started off with a guy who was not only bad but sadly bad. Can we say AI stalker? I wonder if his Fox station will honor Simon's promise?

.

Yes, he's going to Hollywood to be a "reporter" for AI. Exactly when I don't know. I'm not nearly as entertained as the morning radio show that he was today and that I listen to, seems to be!;)

Bleech. Last night's auditions were not very good. It's the first show of this season I haven't really enjoyed on some level. Of course maybe I'm just getting tired of the auditions. :confused3

A few of the notables...

The belching girl, Shannon. Why would someone do that on a show that's seen by millions.

The guy from Venezuela had an accent issue. His voice was OK but what I'd really like to hear is him playing the guitar. From what I saw before he auditioned, it looked really good.

My biggest beef about tonight was so many of the girls were screamers! I had a head ache when the show ended. Include Ramile (sp) from the Philippines, Syeska, and a few others in that group.

Annoying contestant of the night: Julie, the 16 yo who was on American Juniors. She actually wasn't bad on that but I'm so glad they passed on putting her through.

Worst of the night: That last guy, Brandon, who wasn't funny and couldn't sing.

Better than most: Natalie who sang At Last. Wonderful voice!

Best of the night: Corliss and especially Britney. Great voices and super personalities.

I'm so ready for Hollywood week! ::yes::

My favorite so far this year is Robbie from last night's auditions.

I'm so glad they turned down the girl from American Juniors - what a brat!!

I'm so ready for Hollywood week - gotta get through another week of auditions first.

When they do the top 24 will you guys post the official ones? I have to miss cause I'll be at a concert in Nashville.

haha, that is what I was thinking too! OMG, she was so annoying!

Yes! What a snot!! I'm so glad they shot her down. :snooty:

I liked the two best friends Corliss & Brittany. I hope they stick around a while, they were so cute!

Yikes another week? Enough already - on with rhe show!

Bumping back to Page One. I can't keep this year's schedule straight though...but I do know that there is *some* kind of AI show on *sometime* this week :teeth:.

agnes!
