The 2007 Booking Roller Coaster Ride!!

I don't think I've ever really vented on these boards and I don't think I am venting now....but my tummy is all in a bumbly as Pooh would say!

So like many of you, I wait for the 2007 rates to come out. I've faxed my request for cat. 3 MONTHS ago!! Prepare my PBJs and sit and watch and wait.

Then I went to lunch yesterday to come back and have a phone message from DCL - my request for a 2007 cat. 3 has been processed and your reservation number is XXXXX. I call back to find out ANYTHING about the ressie. I'm told the date - NOT the one I had requested....and NOT one that would work for our family.

So I ask the kind DCL rep what my options would be since I'm sure I'm now at the bottom of the list and she tells me to wait till Wed. when she can work with the ressie. Huh?!

AND - this AM I read Regina's post about the non-refundable deposit. Yikes! I'm one of those individuals that totally plans on going, but 18 months out - ya just never know!!!

Oh, my tummy hurts!!! What should I do? Wait and hope I can get another date? TRY to get this date that they offered me to work?!! This is supposed to be fun and my tummy is so upset!

Ok, thanks for letting me vent. Good luck to everyone! Get those PBJs ready!

I haven't heard anything about my request--just as nerve wracking!!!!!!!!

One other tidbit I failed to mention - twice I spoke with DCL yesterday and neither time did they mention the no refund on deposit issue! Wonder what happens if I put the deposit down by Saturday and no one ever says anything. There is nothing posted on their website.

ps - my tummy is so upset i keep running to the bathroom! Ugh!


As far as other ressies....I've hear DCL calls about requests thru Feb. So if you were looking for something later that might be the answer.

I gave info during our last cruise which was Easter of 2004, and faxed the info again (just to be sure it was done) when I got home. I guess since my dates are past February that is why I haven't heard. But this does seem to be taking forever and I am really excited to hear about possible nerw itineraries. I would love the Mediterranean. I was trying for any holiday week or summer. Kids in school so that is how we must do it.

I got a call that my Western was booked in Suite 8532 on Feb 07. I called back too late and found that they were closed.

I faxed Inventory Control and told them I wanted a back to back Wonder cruise in the first week (value) season of Feb 07).

I got called back today and they switched the reservation to exactly what I wanted.

Back to back Wonder cruises in Feb 07 in Suite 8532.......
