We stayed in building 3 and loved the location. We thought it was one of the most convenient resorts we have ever visited (and we have stayed at every WDW resort with the exception of SSR and SoG). I really think you will find that at POFQ everything is practically next door!

Thanks, I am getting really excited! Now if I can just keep both kids happy and healthy until we get there I will finally be able to relax!

Does anyone know which buildings the Pop Warner kids were in last year? I have a kind of touchy issue, I have a DD with epilepsy and her seizures can be triggered by interrupted sleep or if she is sleep deprived (we try very hard to not let this happen at Disney). She had a gran mal seizure last year on a bus going to AK, so we are trying to avoid sleep issues. I have a water view booked, so I am thinking about requesting we not get a pool view, but I don't know. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just returned from POFQ last weekend. We had a water view and requested a top level quiet river view. We got building 6 which was extremely quiet and still close to reception etc. Give the hotel a call about 7 days b4 you fly out and expain your situation and I'm sure they'll do everything they can to accomodate you.

Can someone give me an update on exactly what goes on at the Scat Cat Club? My wife and I are trying to decide if we should hang out at Pleasure Island one night, or head back to the Scat Cat Club and have a few, more peaceful drink, but we were hoping there would be some sort of entertainment there if we did.

Elliot Dyson is a jazz man, who plays at the FQ Wed. thru Sun. He also plays some oldies. He is very entertaining and does alot of crowd inter-action. DH aslways makes sure we go see Elliot once or twice, when we are there.

I agree with going to see Elliott. We always make sure to stop by at least once or twice during our WDW vacations. We are getting married in WDW this coming November and our guests will be staying at POFQ. We are having an informal meet there on the Saturday night before the wedding. Elliott is a great entertainer and plays great music. He really get everyone in the crowd into the music (adults and kids alike). Different type of night then Pleasure Island but very relaxing and enjoyable.

If you're looking for a more peaceful, yet enjoyable, place to have a cocktail or two -- I'd go for Scat Cat Club & Elliot Dyson. Scat Cat Club is right off the lobby, near the entrance to Sassagoula Floatworks (food court), you can run over to the food court and get a dessert or something too.

We have never had an issue at this resort...we have stayed in building 7 and 3.

QUOTE]

Do 7 and 3 seem like a long ways from the pool, food court and bus or is it okay??

They are the outside buildings, but I know this resort is much smaller, just wondering what it is like 'in person'. Its so hard to judge on a map!

That is one of the things we really love about this resort - nothing is a long ways. We have 4 kids and my mom travels with us, so the only thing we ever ask for is connecting rooms (granted for both stays at this resort). I can honestly say that none of us has ever minded walking to or from anything at this resort.

And for what is is worth, most of our stays have been at Deluxe level... several stays at the Poly, WL, Cont. Getting to things has never felt far even in comparison to those resorts. We often think of trying another resort, but POFQ meets our needs so well it is hard to switch.

We have also stayed at CBR, but we paid for preferred location. We would consider a stay at POR or CSR if you could pay for preferred location. Being close to amenities is important to us and that need has always been met at POFQ even when staing in the outer lying buildings.

Did not go through all 126 pages.

Do all buildings have elevators?

Checking in tomorrow!:yay: :yay:

If I make a grocery stop and upon check-in my room is not ready, does the front desk have someplace to keep things cold? Actually the only thing I am concerned with is milk and possibly butter and cream cheese if we get bagels. Pop and water can just sit at room temp until our room is ready.

Thanks!

I was there 3 weeks ago. The bell service has a fridge and they kept my groceries and delivered them with the luggage when my room was ready.

I have a few more questions about POFQ. IS there tables with umbrella's and chairs by the pool or outside by the food court?? Sometimes it's nice to have lunch by the pool. ALso is there and arcade? Thanks.

This is by the kiddie pool, but should be sufficient to answer your question about the tables by the pool. There are several more scattered through the area.

And yes, there is an arcade. Its next to the Jackson Square gift shop.

I'd like to know about the toiletries too we check in Friday and I'm a nervous wreck (not about the shampoo, about the resort LOL) never stayed there before.
