Sorry for adding another question about these mugs to the list, but after doing a search I wasn't able to find out the answer to my question.

We're staying at POFQ in October, and we will be doing the DDP and plan to eat our breakfast in our room or en route to a park.

What are the drinks that you can get with the mugs?

I read one thread about someone getting orange juice in their mugs, but haven't read of anyone else doing this. Neither DH or I drink coffee or lots of soft drinks, so if juice isn't included we'll just skip it.

Thanks...

According to allearsnet.com:
The refills are available from the beverage dispensers and usually include: coffee, sodas, ice tea, and hot chocolate.

I have been lurking around on this thread for a few days, and I'm getting so excited...we are planning our disneymoon at POFQ in December and I can't wait! It's DF's first trip ever to Disney, I've been prob 20 times. Anyway, I'd love a king bed room since it is our honeymoon and all, but all the pictures I've seen w/kings are handicap rooms, w/out a bathtub and I can't go a whole week w/no bathtub! Does anyone know if all the knig rooms are handicap rooms? And are there any corner king rooms, I love the extra window. Thanks!!
I'm pretty much a newbie but already becoming addicted to these boards...

Hillary not all the King rooms are handicaped. We had a lovely room corner on the 3rd floor in Bldg 3 facing a fountain for our 30th anniversary last year. Be sure and mark the reservation that it is you Disney Moon. Congratulations and wish the best for you:goodvibes

I made my ressies online on Friday. Staying at POFQ in Non-Smoking Waterview room with a request for a Corner Room with a Riverview.
Need to call back and make sure the requests are for 1) corner room, 2) river view, 3) top floor, 4) Buildings 1, 2, or 5. I realize these are all requests and that I am only officially paying for a Waterview room, but it is my birthday and I would like to do something special.:cloud9:
Next I have to made reservations for a BackStage Magic Tour, Pirates and Princesses Party, and a few special ADR meals.pirate:

And today I made my reservations for the pirate: Pirate and Princess Partyprincess: on August 11th, and three ADR during the week: Le Cellier, 50's Prime Time Cafe, and Tony's Town Square.:happytv:

Hi!
I've never stayed at POFQ, but they should have Apple Juice in addition to hot chocolate, coffee, and soft drinks. When I stayed at POP they had apple juice, so I'm assuming a moderate would have it.

Not necessarily the case, I've been to pop and loved the apple juice option for our kids but at Wilderness Lodge they don't have that option. I am also hoping someone will answer this juice question for POFQ. Anyone??
Thanks,
Lesley

Hi quiltymom, we just got back from POFQ on Sunday and if I remember correctly the only drinks you are able to get with the mugs were coke, sprite, Hi-C, coffee, hot chocolate and hot water for tea. There was a half and half fountain with the soda fountains. Milk and chocolate milk had to be purchased in little half pints. Apple and orange juice bottles had to be purchased. My DD only drinks apple and orange juice so I know we could not get them at the fountains. We were on the DDP also and sometimes we paid for the juices and sometimes we didn't. It all depended on the CM's working the cash register that day. We didn't purchase the mugs this time. We drove over to Publix in Kissimmee and bought 5 bottles of Coke and Sprite for $5.00, $1.00 per bottle. It was much cheaper than purchasing the mugs. We are a family of 5, so it really helped us save some money. Hope this helps. Have a wonderful time on your trip. You are going to love this resort it is beautiful.

You're welcome! (Not that I, personally, gave much, if any, helpful advice.) But welcome to the DIS!

Thanks, everyone, for the info on the refillable mugs. You have been most helpful! I think that I have the information I've been looking for. :thumbsup2

We've been thinking of CBR but the main pool is going to be under construction. Is this one a kids friendly place? We're used to the all star atomosphere and are leaning towards a different scene. I'm nervous. Is it really crowded when sharing a bus with POR? Is the food at POFQ kid friendly? The won't eat "funny" food. I've been trying to read all these and will keep going till I hear from all of you! Thanks!!

This is my 800 th POST!!!

Anyway we are going to POFQ in Sept and are so excited. This thread is great I ove the pictures!!!

We are also debating about the mugs. i hear you can refill them at any resort now which is a big help. What my question is is do you get enough drinks on the DDP that you can get by without it. We are not opposed to refilling water bottles. DH and I drink a lot of coffee though so I was thinking this may be worth it alone. Can you take the mugs into the parks filled?
Thanks
Heidi

Hi There - We stayed at POFQ last September and really enjoyed it. We are going back in 7 days! Our DDs are 3 and 5, and we found it very kid friendly. The pool was especially nice for young kids - the water slide is very gentle and the girls cant get enough of it. Plus its small and nothing is a far walk. I did find the buses a little slow at times - but its been so long that I had nothing to compare it against (also thought maybe they took a few buses out of service in Sept due to slower crowd :confused3 ). Anyways I cant wait to go back and I think you would be happy here.

Hi MEredhead! There were alot of young children there when we were there last week. I was under the impression it was not kid friendly, mine are older, but there were a lot of 5 and under children there. So yes POFQ is kid friendly. Our rooms were across from the small playground. There is also a children's pool. Your kids, even kids at heart, will love the main pool. Then you always have the option of going to POR the sister resort. It's a nice 5 minute walk or you can take the boat over there. POR is beautiful as well. We did not get to see the other pools at POR, but at check in we were told there are 6 not including the one at POFQ. Hope this helps you. Have a wonderful time. ;)

MEredhead, just wanted to add as you know the resort is not big as the other mods so it is a welcome change after a long day at the parks. ;)

Congratulations and a big "WOO HOO"  for you. We are trying POFQ for the first time this year (see my pre-TR below) and are so excited. When are you going??

Lesley

Hi - just bumping in - We will be at POFQ June 9 - 17th - WOO HOO!! Just DH and me this trip!!! Double WOO HOO!!! Maybe we'll see you there! Jane:banana:

I read on the Unofficial Guide web site that POFQ only has dial up and not broadband. Is this correct? Just trying to plan for all work contingencies.

(sorry if this is on here somewhere, the search engine won't let me search just this thread)

Thanks!!!!!

Must be old news! We have stayed at POFQ as recently as last summer and they certainly had the "normal" Disney internet where you pay $9.95 for the 24 hours and DH used his laptop. The "outlet" or plug or whatever you call it was behind the small table with two chairs that is in the room. The connection was plenty fast -- I put all my photos into the Kodak Gallery and Emailed them to friends.

My 9 year old DD would like to know if the pool at POFQ is as big & nice as the pool in POR.DD would appreciate a brief description.:hourglass
