Our first visit to POFQ will be this October. (We are normally CBR'ers, but wanted a change this year). Tried clicking on the FoodCourt Menus but I get only "errors" and can't bring anything up.

Can anyone send me a link to the menus please???

TIA,

Cleverock, I notice you are from Atlantic City area, can you tell me about the airport there at all? We are flying out next Saturday, the 17th, from there. Do you know if they can check the luggage at the curb; how are the crowds there? We have heard other people say it is a really nice airport, just curious if you have ever been. Thanks.

I love ACY. It has only 6 gates, if that gives you an idea of its size. I think Spirit Airlines has curbside check-in, but not 100% sure, because I've never noticed long lines that made me feel I needed to do the curbside in the first place.

One of the nicest things is that parking is pretty cheap (maybe $4.25 a day, or thereabouts), and also quite close to the terminal -- no need for shuttle buses or anything like that.

It's a great convenience. But, one quick note, it's about 11 mies from Atlantic City, so don't go thinking you'll be right next to casinos or anything like that!

By the way, my wife and I did the same thing you're doing. We stayed at CBR twice and loved it there, but wanted to try something different and stayed at POFQ 3 months ago (and loved it even more, I'm happy/sorry to say). Kind of like why we've lived in three different states in three very different types of settings, until we fell in love with where we are now.

Hi all! We got such GREAT information on POFQ, and had a SUPER stay in January. There have been so many great pictures posted that we found so valuable, while we were there, I shot several areas in 360 and just got them arranged and up today. You can change the speed, zoom in and out, etc.

Some shots of the lobby, room, Rue d' baga, Dock, Pool area, ...

I hope these are of some help, ask questions if you have them.

I read on the WDW site that POFQ does have in-room sitters available. Are these CM's, or an outside service? We were going to use Fairy Godmothers, but if there is something where we wouldn't have to pay travel expenses to save a few $$, that would be great.

Any info would be most helpful! Thanks...

Kaybird- thanks for the 360 photos! I felt like I was turning round and round looking at the place! We can't wait to stay at POFQ in April.

I will be there for the first time in September. We have stayed at POP for the past 2 years and looking forward to staying at a Moderate for a change. Plus, I am looking forward to having a frig. in the room for a change. This site is wonderful with all of the information. Thank you so much for it.

I got them to work and LOVED them, thanks so much, has me even more excited for our stay, really gives you a feel of how close together this resort is, looks AWESOME, can't wait to see it in person.
Also can't wait to show these to my DH and kids. THANKS!

Eric,

Thanks for the info! I did find today that they said they have curbside check-in. We like to drop off the luggage as soon as possible b/c we have our 2 kids with us. To us, it's worth tipping them a buck or two. I can't believe we are leaving this Friday already. I have been busy packing, sorry didn't get back sooner. We are staying at a Comfort Inn that's about 4 miles from the airport b/c our flight is 6:30 am and we have about 2 or 2 1/2 hr trip. Can't wait to get there. We will wave while we are in AC. We will be with the Mouse Saturday morning. Thanks all. Take care.

P.S. How do you like this weather? How much snow are you getting? Right now it is freezing rain here. Drive careful!
:yay:

I tried pulling these up, but got nothing but a big blank box with a small red "x" in the corner.

Any suggestions?

Sorry if you are having trouble, the files are large and take a while to download. The page is in frames, and also uses a Javascript, so you might check your options.

Glad everyone else is enjoying these, just an FYI, you can double click on the picture to stop the action, then drag you cursor right or left. One of the buttons below the picture also has a zoom feature, but you lose some resolution that way. Will get some 360's of FW in May.

I have dial-up at home and am also having problems seeing the pictures. I'll try again at work tomorrow where we have high-speed.

For living in this region, we picked a great place to live. The ocean usually keeps the snow away. We had a coating on Tuesday, but it started pouring rain Tuesday night. It let up before Noon today (Wednesday), and we never had anything freeze. The sun came out around 1:00 p.m. and dried all the roads, so even though it's COLD outside there's nothing on the roads and sidewalks to freeze up. No school closings or delays in Atlantic County today.

What kind of transportation options are available?
The main type of transportation that is available is the bus. The bus will take you to all 4 major Disney parks and water parks. To get to Downtown Disney, a wonderful boat ride down the Sassagoula River is available at night. All transportation is shared with Port Orleans Riverside. To get to POR, you can walk, take the shuttle boat, or shuttle bus.

Hi! Thanks for this thread, we plan to go next year.

Question about transportation to Downtown Disney.

Is taking the boat, at night, the only way to get to Downtown Disney?
Do they have buses that can take you there during the daytime?

Actually, the boats stop running by 11:00 p.m. or a little before, and from then until after DTD's closing time your ONLY option is the bus. The bus runs all day, even when the boats are running. So you can always take the bus, but you can only take the boat until just before 11:00 p.m. or so. I also think the boats don't run in pouring rain and stuff like that.
